  5.
  6. Syssin,
  7.
  8. As a guild we have room for dissenting opinions- freely and respectfully expressed.
  9. We not only have room, but it is also each and every Syssins responsibility to the
  10. guild to speak up in a constructive manner if they have concerns or reservations about
  11. where the guild is heading.
  12.
  13. What we do not have the room, or time, or need for is people who refuse to contribute
  14. to the overall health of our guild. Who allow personal dislike to foment into malicious
  15. disregard for the job laid on us by Lord Severn so many years ago.
  16.
  17. Eydis has chosen to approach our newly instated Arbiter of Will, not with constructive
  18. criticism regarding laws newly made, nor actions of any of the Lieutenants nor even
  19. myself the General, but simply to state that we all need to be overthrown as we are
  20. not True Syssin. What that means, precisely, I am unsure of, save that we are not willing
  21. to allow her to harass and harangue whomever she wills whenever she wills.
  22.
  23. Allowing your personal dislike of a person or group of people to interfere in the
  24. performance of your job or the fulfillment of your oaths is the antithesis of what
  25. it means to BE Syssin. Expressing the desire to stage a coup rather than addressing
  26. problems in a professional manner is not what True Syssin do.
  27.
  28. Given the dearth of iron clad complaints from her, which says to me she has none beyond
  29. dislike, as well as her allowing her personal life to supersede the guild, causing drama
  30. and strife where none need to exist, the council has elected to remove her from our ranks.
  31.
  32. I want to be very clear here that she is not being removed due to personal dislike, nor
  33. due to a difference of opinion. Opinions can differ and we can respect one another enough
  34. to agree to disagree and then move forward- Lieutenant Fezzix and I have done that frequently
  35. in the years since I became syssin. But when there is no respect, for each other, much less
  36. the vows we take upon vestment, then there is no way to communicate, much less agree to disagree.
  37.
  38. As with any large guild change or event, if you have any questions, or concerns please
  39. feel free to approach me or any of our Lieutenants.
