- Hey guys, how’s it goin?
- The Pokemon Puzzle League Speedrun Tournament 2020 has begun in earnest and it has me hyped to get my matches in and get to the good parts. What's been the most hype about the tournament, however, has been the opportunity to show off the higher production values I have been working towards for the past couple of months. Custom transitions to and from matches, unique backgrounds for every group, Poke Ball score displays with stars sprouting from them; anything I could reuse from the game, I wanted to reuse from the game to make you feel like you were watching the game within the game. So much of the presentation is on brand and fans are responding favorably to it. As someone who is not formally trained in graphic design, it makes me feel... giddy... sigh... to see the feedback. I can't wait to find ways to improve it for next time. There are several other things I would have liked to incorporate that I lack the imagination and knowledge to implement. Combining cross-fades with other transitions would be particularly nice for me to pick up for this type of broadcast. Perhaps another time.
- I am looking to get two of my three matches in this week. I do not know if they will be brought to you live. The team is examining their availability right now. Follow @PuzzleGeneral for those live announcements IF they come. That said, I don't think I will be doing anything with my channel this week, not when I practically have to prepare for matches on a daily basis. Expect to see me more on Puzzle General handling the weekly recaps of all of the matches.
