  1. -----------------------------------
  2. The Basement - Conspirator Handbook
  3. -----------------------------------
  4.
  5. The Conspirator role in The Basement is an equivalent rank of Moderator, it is your duty to maintain order when you are present.
  6.
  7. To clarify: You are not expected to be intensely active in your duties, we aren't paying you for your time, so I only expect you to perform your duties as and when you happen to be browsing or lurking the server.
  8.
  9. ------------------
  10. DUTIES - Welcoming
  11. ------------------
  12.
  13. Included in your duties is welcoming n3w85 into the server, to do this, they have been instructed in #welcome to leave an intro in #introductions with the following layout:
  14.
  15. Username:
  16. Hobbies:
  17. Fringe interests:
  18. What do you feel is your strongest trait?:
  19. Where did you hear about us?:
  20. One random fact about yourself:
  21.
  22. **They have also been instructed in the rules to leave the name of a fruit or vegetable in their introduction, this is to ensure that they have actually read the rules listed in #welcome, so if you read their intro and there is no fruit/veg mentioned, just tell them:
  23.
  24. "Please re-read the rules, your introduction is missing something"
  25.
  26. If their introduction is correct, or corrected, you are to estate them with the 'Basement Dweller' Role, this will enable them to see the rest of the server.
  27.
  28. ------------------
  29. DUTIES - Enforcing
  30. ------------------
  31.
  32. Your second duty is simply, maintain order. The 2 rules by which we abide are listed in #welcome, I suggest you go and read them. If you feel a user is breaking the TSN-BAD rule, please give them a verbal warning, [tell them to chill out basically] if they continue to break the rule, use kick or ban as you see fit, I tend to not bother with kick and go straight to ban, but it's up to you really.
  33.
  34. Similarly if you feel a user is breaking the TSN-SD rule, remind them to go to #welcome, and re-read the rules. We do not want our server to become a platform for the distribution of disinformation, as so easily has occurred on many platforms today.
  35.
  36. Please remember also, that the TSN-SD rule only to someone who is trying to claim an empirical fact, simply postulating or spitballin ideas about something does not break this rule, only claiming that it is 100% factual/true requires substantiation, lack of or refusal to offer that substantiation, is breaking the TSN-SD rule. If they are very clearly violating this rule, and refuse to re-construct their argument to abide by it, use verbal warning/kick/ban as you see fit.
  37.
  38. IF YOU ARE UNSURE ABOUT SOMETHING, ACT FIRST, TAKE SCREEN SHOTS AND THEN MESSAGE ME ABOUT IT.
