But when you are getting married, you need to gain expertise in this subject, and fast. So if you don’t want to do it the hard way, you need every advantage that you can get. Getting into your boyfriend’s head is only the beginning.

You may be thinking that an article of this sort ought to be written by a male blogger ideally. I don’t pretend to be a scholar on the subject of men, but would you really trust a member of the opposite sex to dish out all his secrets honestly? I didn’t think so.

So read on if you want a succinct distillation of all that I have learnt in my dealings with members of the opposite sex i.e. men. You may be thinking that every individual is different, so there is no guarantee that your boyfriend or fiancé thinks this way, but trust me, when it comes to certain issues, men are all alike.

Secret #1: Your boyfriend notices the way you are dressed.

You probably think that you know this already, right? Of course the first thing that your boyfriend notices about you is the way you look, so you probably take great pains to look good for him. But do not go overboard. You think wearing that tight skirt and those sexy stilettos makes you look hot? You are definitely right! But that is appropriate attire to go clubbing. If you are spending a day outdoors on a picnic or going on a romantic bike ride, then wear something a little more suitable.

Secret #2:  Every second thought is about sports.

Are you one of those girls who absolutely cannot stand it when their boyfriend ignores them for cricket or football? You better get used to it, honey. Guys are absolutely, totally, completely obsessed with sports. This is a chronic disease that has no cure. Even if you are one of those girls who like sports, then chances are that it does not occupy your thoughts during every single waking moment.

Secret #3:  If it seems like he gets jealous every time you even speak to another guy, then he is probably insecure.

If your boyfriend feels like you are out of his league i.e. if he thinks that he does not deserve you, he will think that you will drop him as soon as a better prospect comes along. And being worried about losing your girl to another man does nothing for a man’s temper.

But be warned: there is a slippery slope here. Try to soothe his insecurities, but if he is too possessive, then you have probably found an emotionally abusive guy. Cut your ties and move on before it is too late.
