  1. [10:12] From the off-coloring, was an individual warping their physical form with a reflective aegis: Camouflage of the illusionary arcane. They still held a three dimensional shape that could've been noted within closer proximity and greater inspection -- Though, with Ronan's knowledge of their watchful eyes, his image was further bled into the background versus Nykros' perspective.
  2.
  3. They shrugged - perhaps briefly intrigued, but not quite interested enough to investigate further.
  4. Ronan's hunt could continue unabated, it seemed.
  5. Though, he felt the need to prod further.
  6. If the boy could've noticed him, at least, in any aspect, perhaps, his technique still needed some work.
  7.
  8. Were there details he left visible? Was there... Something else he could fix? He floated as to prevent from alerting them with footsteps, drifting towards them only when out of view.
  9. Watching...
  10. (Ronan)
  11. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12.
  13. [10:16] The boy ceased from leaving, crossing his arms now as he no longer needed to cease it. He had noticed the flow of mana in the air around the spot on top of the shifting details, this was more than enough to provoke him into investigating the source of it.
  14.
  15. Nick walks slowly towards the patch of dirt now, stopping a few feet from it, squinting as he looked around the area, to the trees mostly. While he noticed the man briefly, it seemed his spell, for the moment, was keeping him well-hidden, even at this close distance.
  16. (Nykros)
  17. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  18.
  19. [10:36] He was wrong; Nykros did infact, notice something...
  20. They were trying to investigate, to get to the bottom of what they likely figured to be an anomaly in Levengard.
  21. Ronan observed this, watching them get closer - though, as far as he could tell, the camouflage was encompass his form entirely.
  22.
  23. Though, he thought on it for a bit...
  24. Why so many before this kid had found him instantly, or quickly enough to render his efforts useless.
  25. Ronan moved... Slowly, and slightly, as though to emulate the wind bellowing behind and around him, through his arm rising up to his chest.
  26. The fingers were cupped, to make a small space between his palm and chest.
  27.
  28. It was time to make or break.
  29.
  30. Within his stern control warped the efforts of the gravity domain, condensing the space between his clasped fingers through his mana to induce a chain reaction. The weight of the atmosphere focused on such a small point soon manifested its own body of mass, heavy enough to demand its own pool of gravity.
  31.
  32. Rather than ravaging it upon the boy or encompassing scape as many other magi tended to during battle, he starved it, straining it to only suckle at the subsistence he'd allow it.
  33. Physical mass merely bobbed, as though in reverence to a mild breeze in comparison to before. It was, surprisingly closer now.
  34. The illusionary veil working in tangent displaced the source of the sound, as though to further the illusion at-play.
  35.
  36. A Black Hole, sought to consume: To pry until its gravity well was countered well enough by its surroundings, or it was relinquished of the pressure that birthed it in the first place. The pull it was capable of, however, wasn't truly realized in the hands of common magi intent on only using it for brief periods of time.
  37.
  38. … But to Ronan? It'd reach that potential -- The very light it reflected around Ronan was being bent away, leaving nothing to bounce back to the eyes of the curious. Through gravity, the mage sought to engulf even light to complete his illusionary prowess and transcend from transparency, to something closer to true invisibility.
  39.
  40. Though, as consequences would have it -- Despite the heavy drain such a coalescing array of techniques would have, it had yet another crucial flaw. Without allowing light to bounce off of his person, light didn't make it to his eyes. Just like the first time he attempted to push his endeavors this far, he had blinded himself with his own magic:
  41.
  42. If others couldn't see him, neither could he see them.
  43.
  44.
  45. Thus, he had to rely on the other senses: Hearing, Touch and scent, if necessary.
  46. He wasn't entirely sure as to what Nykros would do in reverence to seeing the semi-reflective semblance of a silhouette blink out of existence, but he waded to his left in hopes that it'd possibly miss him entirely.
  47.
  48. … Then, he'd listen.
  49. There had to be a better way.
  50.
  51. (Ronan)
  52. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  53.
  54. [10:47] Nick would at first grunt and try to back off from yet another flow of mana being utilized to some ends in the world before the black hole the other magi was creating appeared rather abruptly. The boy new at least that it was gravity magic, but he wasn't able to tell what spell it was exactly.
  55.
  56. Once a reasonable distance was met, he'd stay there, albeit, vaguely pulled closer due to the obvious effects of the magically created gravitational anomaly. "W-what the..." was all he could really say about this. Though, he did fully notice the other fully now due to it.
  57.
  58. One large flaw also occurred thanks to his black hole- The spell he was using was dependent on pulling and weaving strings of light around himself for something akin to invisibility, but due to the presence of the light-consuming spheroid, it seemed the very spell itself now failed to an extent as the light he would have use to weave it was being pulled towards the black hole as well, leavinghim at least visible enough for the young magi to know entirely of his presence.
  59.
  60. "Mh. Now who might you be...?" he'd ask as a hand was trying to block the black hole from view, if just to prevent himself from going blind by looking into it.
  61. (Nykros)
  62. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  63.
  64. [11:01] No words.
  65. Why would someone intent on escaping detection plan on declaring their presence? Surely, the execution could've been cleaned up, though the currently blind Ronan only hastened his movement - leaving the black hole technique to drop to the ground amidst its constant endeavor.
  66.
  67. It was the intention to have what light allowed him to be spotted robbed away, whether or not it truly worked was beyond him. He heard the boy, but could not see whether he was looking back at him or not. Thus, he floated aimlessly in a direction strafing Nykros, whilst the gleaming outline of the miniature singularity sunk into the earthen surface and carved itself a hole into the ground, likely to satisfy its hunger and dissipate somewhere along the way.
  68.
  69. The brief stunt had begun to wane, though Ronan intended on fading back outside of the direction focus of Nykros' searching eyes. Perhaps, briefly breaking what semblance of visibly would allot -that- much.
  70.
  71. Misdirection was something that the illusionist was well-versed in, but admittedly the act he pulled off was sloppy. He took to a slow drift towards the trees, regaining his opacity as he done so. What kept his visage shrouded, was the hood he dawned so faithfully.
  72. (Ronan)
  73. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  74.
  75. [11:02] * You have been awarded 2 Roleplay Points! *
  76. [11:06] The boy wouldn't be easily fooled. While the light around Ronan was being sucked in, so to was the light used to reflect the imagery around him, giving the transparency he had.
  77.
  78. Now without question as he noticed the obvious movement as he moved away from the blackhole, Nick made chase, dashing after the other magi with haste, curious as to what provoked their rather risky attempt at... Whatever it was they were trying to do, it wasn't as if the boy really understood the ends they desired for that. Nonetheless, he still followed Ronan off towards the trees now.
  79. (Nykros)
  80. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  81.
  82. [11:10] Did the boy truly feel so driven that they'd pursue the unknown? The tranparent image sought for the trees, using their surroundings to further trouble their chase. Though, they did lag behind in their efforts. Almost as though having second thougths? Yes, for they did not truly intend to escape, but lead them away from Levengard's public eye.
  83. --- Were they fast enough to pull off the feat?
  84. (Ronan)
  85. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  86.
  87. [11:13] The boy would run quite deep into the woods east of Levengard, still pursuing after the visage they vaguely remembered from Anarchy Mountain. Though of course, they succeeded in hiding themselves once again, as he wandered around, seeming heavily confused. Whatever they may choose to do next is a mystery to Nick, who was still searching in the forest.
  88. (Nykros)
  89. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  90.
  91. [11:21] The forest undergrowth was being bathed in his mana reserve, allowing him to transform it into his own wonderland of treachery and deception.
  92.
  93. On the bark of one tree, words were scratched into the base reading:
  94.
  95. Turn Back
  96.
  97. Whilst in the background, the scuffling of something skulking around skimmered behind him!
  98. They could turn, but it'd reveal naught but the blurring shadow of something more... animalistic.
  99. Demons? Here?
  100.
  101. As though a damned chorus had been orchestrated on cue, whispers hushed through the scene -- Oddly in tangent with manifest fog crawling low at the ankles.
  102.
  103. In the distance, to the boy's north were crimson hues glaring from the shadow of trees, watching him intently...
  104. Soon accompanied by two other sets - They must've been pack-hunters.
  105.
  106. Amongst the whispering chatter that encompassed the boy, one took prominence to coo out to them.
  107.
  108. "Tuuuuuurn…. baaaaaack…." It sung, feminine in tone and nature, as though to urge them to follow suit in a soothing manner.
  109. Ominous? Or intriguing - It was up for Nykros to make that call.
  110. (Ronan)
  111. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  112.
  113. [11:28] Nick, at this point being able to tell he was dealing with someone who was adept in illusionary, wouldn't seem very phased by any of the things thrown his way. The carved message? The shadowy figure? The eyes? The voice? Compared to standing in the presence of the man, Sors Ultovex? It was more comparable to a child's puppet show than truly frightening by that point.
  114.
  115. "I've had enough of this already- Show yourself..." he'd simply state, just bluntly ignoring all of the illusions thrown his way, be it vision, hearing, touch, smell, taste, and whatever other forms of Illusion were being utilized at this point!
  116.
  117. As unphased by the normally frightening display as Nick was, it did not change the fact that he still couldn't see the man, as the illusions still afflicted his senses.
  118. (Nykros)
  119. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  120.
  121. [11:39] Nykros ignored it all, but it didn't phase Ronan at all.
  122. This, was literal child's play.
  123. Bold or perceptive enough to see through it, wasn't anything worthy of note to someone whom had come to mastery the very arcane.
  124.
  125. Through the coalescing of metaphysical magics, they sought to defy the very laws of the realm encompassing them.
  126. A deep murmur of bass sounded off, as reality itself writhed in distaste to the transgression being held against it.
  127.
  128. Gravity contorted space somewhere behind Nykros, compressing down, but not to force space to collapse in on itself to birth a black hole, rather, enough to harden across a shape of his design.
  129. The illusionary domain wrapped light around the point of focus, building the very image of...
  130.
  131. A random persona: A man laden in previously overheated armor, shining a midnight blue - Taking the image of someone bestowed armor from a bad blacksmith? They dawned a broadsword across their back, with face revealed to showcase a caucasion individual with blonde hair and blue eyes: An easy palette to toss together as far as the originator was concerned.
  132.
  133. Where the illusionary arcane sought to create the image, the gravity arcane sought to enforce the spatial support. Working in tangent, the only difference between this artificial man and a real one, to everyone else? Was that a real one wouldn't dematerialize upon true death. That, amongst other details notable via more prominent magi abroad.
  134.
  135. The persona stood upright, spawning with a light gust of wind as though to emulate vanquishing the illusionary veil.
  136. Ronan himself took refuge amongst the forestry nearby, watching as his hard-copy manifestation took shape and addressed Nykros.
  137.
  138. " What is it that you want? " The blonde knight queried, taking a hand to his back to rest his fingers at the weapon hilt - Ready to whip out his weapon, but... Not quite following through yet.
  139. (Ronan)
  140. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  141.
  142. [11:45] The boy stared at the knight for a moment, squinting at their poorly made gear, it looked as it just by giving it a good whack with his staff, it should shatter after a single blow. Who in the world was dumb enough to but such horrible armor?
  143.
  144. Nick seemed to be checking for any imperfections of the face of the man for a moment, sighing with a shrug. "Thought I saw someone I recognized from the mountains for a second, if you must know. I had questions for them." he'd respond to the man. Whether he knew them to be fake or not at this point wasn't known, he could be just playing along, or simply believing the far more realistic 'illusion' presented now.
  145. (Nykros)
  146. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  147.
  148. [11:54] The blonde man gave a squint back towards Nykros, as though questioning their own inspection, but judged them in silence. Surely, they weren't exactly someone to talk, granted their poor choice of armor.
  149.
  150. Years of study went into his very design. Imperfections were intentional, as though to emulate a common man - Nothing near as perfect as peak magus humanity. If anything, they could've been someone traveling the land, or an unfortunate mercenary trying to scrape on by.
  151.
  152. "Someone from the mountain around here?" The blonde persona responded, loosening their grip upon their blade. Perhaps, it was the squint that he gave earlier that indicated that they were assessing Nykros as a potential threat.
  153. "Truth be told, there's nothing too crazy out n' about these days, kid."
  154.
  155. They seemingly lowered their guard, and with that...
  156. The very encompassing illusions carrying out around them? Vanished, as though to implicate the persona before Nykros to be, what he had been intrigued in for so long?
  157.
  158. Odd.
  159.
  160. "Well, I can't say you didn't give me reason for concern though. You seemed pretty intense earlier. Can't be too careful."
  161. Ronan, himself was inspecting Nykros from afar, ready to create an entire scene of his own accord.
  162.
  163. He'd play the role of puppet-master, if it improved his abilities and allowed him more information on those who may've known of him.
  164. (Ronan)
  165. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  166.
  167. [12:01] The boy simply shook his head with a vague sigh, giving a light glare to the man in armor, turning to face the North path and taking a few steps towards it.
  168.
  169. "Well, if he's not here, it's pointless for me to stick around. I gave chase because I was intrigued for the moment. But now this is just a waste of time, I'm otherwise busy in preparation for something important to me. Now. If you'll excuse me then."
  170.
  171. Now Nick begins to wander off, back to Levengard as he lost interest quickly upon being told that the magi from the mountains that intrigued him wasn't here. "This entire thing was a waste of my time..." he'd mumble as he proceeded back to town unless stopped.
  172. (Nykros)
  173. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  174.
  175. [12:14] Nykros had turned his back towards Ronan's general direction -- Perfect. He wouldn't see what'd happen next. Within the magi's hand, he took to a second attempt within the same encounter. It conjured somewhat of a breeze, more controlled this time - Not quite troubled with remaining stealthy as he was before.
  176.
  177. The blackened sphere weighing in the palm of his hand was starved as it was before, but in a more loosely executed fashion, taking rocks and limp foliage into its fathomless gullet. The color from the encompassing area transcended to a subtle - then deep shade of gray, before transcending for darkness.
  178.
  179. A spherical chasm of black floated by the treeline, leaving light inept within its depths... Before compressing back down under the control of the gravity magus.
  180. Alas, it'd collapse back down into his palm, but his features would be left inept.
  181.
  182. All that remained, would be the hollowed outline to his person, far less to blotch out with the illusionary arcane than before. It was more effective than his former attempt, and upon finishing the transition he leaped for the skies.
  183.
  184. For a brief amount of time before, he could see, but every time he'd attempt this invisibility technique, he'd lose the ability to see.
  185. It didn't mean -too- much for his construct, only that it no longer followed Nykros with his eyes, as though opting to simply stare off in the same direction it was in, as it called out to Nykros.
  186.
  187. If Nykros had opted to simply walk directly away from the construct, perhaps it wouldn't appear to be -too- odd.
  188.
  189. "Wait." The blonde man uttered to Nykros, treating the disturbance from before as nothing beyond a gust of wind. Nature could've been unpredictable after-all.
  190.
  191. " Did you hear that? " The construct pointed in the direction of the disturbance, where Ronan once was before executing his technique and taking blindly to the skies above.
  192.
  193. If Nykros was at least tempted to turn back around, or entertain this -- He'd continue.
  194. " Perhaps it wasn't a waste of time after all. If someone as young as you is out here, and even talking about traveling mountains, I take it you're a mage. Even if it isn't what you're looking for, it'd be nice to have your accompaniment to investigate. "
  195. They claimed, awaiting some form of response.
  196. (Ronan)
  197. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  198.
  199. [12:21] Nick, annoyed and in a time constraint to finish up his business in Levengard before returning to Anarchy Mountain, would wave a hand dismissively at them, believing it to be the wind this time given he lost all real interest now.
  200.
  201. "You go do that on your own, I'm not interested anymore, and I have a deadline to meet." he'd respond, continuing to walk off without so much as an ounce of consideration for choosing to go along with the construct.
  202.
  203. "...Don't want to keep Lord Ultovex waiting..." he'd mumble to himself, shaking his head vaguely as he marched back to Levengard still. It seems there really was now persuading him to stay now, rather if the gravity-illusion magi had any form of plans for them, he'd need to act directly over hiding and letting his construct do the work.
  204. (Nykros)
  205. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  206.
  207. [12:28] Ronan was having trouble hearing Nykros now...
  208. He must've been getting further away. The pseudo-invisibility veil vanished, restoring his visual prowess to reveal? Nykros was leaving? Ronan kept to flying overhead, using altitude to avoid immediate detection -- In his experience, not many people opted to look -up- when scoping out a scene.
  209.
  210. Odd, considering how many magus people were capable of flight.
  211.
  212. The illusionist directed his construct to continue its... Less than eventful pursuit. Clearly, this was a teen with a mission. Unfortunately, the mumble was not quite heard, but there was -something- going on with them.
  213.
  214. "Well, I don't exactly plan on being jumped or killed out here, so I'm certain you won't mind if I tag along until we're on open-ground, yes?"
  215. Ronan took mental note of this kid. He wasn't entirely sure who they were, but if they knew of him - He'd be wary as to how they wandered Levengard so freely, and passed through Anarchy Mountain with the same freedom.
  216.
  217. Silently from above, he followed.
  218.
  219. (Ronan)
  220. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  221.
  222. [12:35] The boy would remain mostly silent as he was followed by not just the construct, but also it's puppeteer now as they headed back towards Levengard. The split of the lighter and darker patches of grass they passed may be the best example for explaining his ability to freely travel between two such places, they are both grass, different colors being obvious on close inspection in the light, but if anything obscures it's true color? It's near impossible to tell which patch it belonged to.
  223.
  224. "Alright.. We're at an open patch, you can go now." he'd state to the construct, remaining unaware of the magus above him that was floating about. Levitation wasn't something that the young magi really ever learned how to do, given it never really seemed all-to-important to learn in his opinion., but that was besides the point.
  225.
  226. "Now then... Need to find someone who can help me get those two things... Then maybe... Hm... Later..."he'd mumble to himself again, still not revealing to much. If anything, Nick was obviously cautious to a degree.
  227.
  228. (Nykros)
  229. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  230.
  231. [12:41] The construct smiled and nodded thankfully,
  232. "Thanks, stranger. You have my gratitude."
  233. They turned from Nykros and started on their way, to the streets of Levengard for the marketplace.
  234.
  235. Hopefully, to get that abhorrent piece of armor replaced.
  236. They kept going, through the crowds of Levengard denizens where their spatial foundation had been relinquished. Soon after, they'd simply... vanish.
  237. Like a ghost... Perhaps a denizen amongst the crowds would be confused or even doubletake, but whatever happened amongst them was not of the puppeteer's concern.
  238.
  239. Not unless it grabbed Nykros attention. What -did- interest him was what they were talking about. He heard something about, a search for something -- Resources? Materials. Ronan couldn't be sure, perhaps with enough time he'd figure it out.
  240. (Ronan)
  241. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  242.
  243. [12:44] Given the uncertain length of time that Ronan would be following the boy, if he chose to stick around, they'd eventually find him revising a list, seeming to be of the items he needs.
  244.
  245. If close enough, the floating magus would be able to easily read the peculiarly neat handwriting, upon it, it merely stated two items, one being of common knowledge, Arcanium, and the other perhaps not, Soul Steel. Both were exceptionally rare, strange, and powerful types of precious metal. What in the world would a mere young teenager want with those?
  246. (Nykros)
  247. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  248.
  249. [12:50] They didn't seem to be moving... Strange.
  250. At least they weren't monologuing, that'd be reason for concern -- Or at least indicate that someone else was here.
  251. They were taking something out? Referring to something...
  252.
  253. He floated slowly, as though not to stir a draft and alert his person-of-interest. Eyes dared to pry, and to their curiosity, they'd find:
  254.
  255. Arcanium
  256. and
  257. Soul Steel
  258.
  259. He never heard of the latter, but given the context clues from the name, he could assume that there was possibly a connection between normal steel and spiritmancy? … Or, just a rather edgy name for a sword. He shrugged it off, before floating back up to avoid any accidental contact.
  260.
  261. The mind wandered, and the researcher and theorist could come up with possible conclusions for many things -- But not this.
  262. There was no justification that he could find for a person so youthful to set out for items so precious -- Or at least, one item that he knew of.
  263.
  264. Well, in his experience -- If they were -this- young, and -this- determined... Or even -that- bold, they must've held some form of competence, yes? That, or they were hopelessly clueless and suicidal. Perhaps it was worth inspecting.
  265. (Ronan)
  266. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  267.
  268. [12:56] It wasn't as if Ronan would find out without a direct method of questioning. Again, the boy was obviously very, VERY careful with what he did, given he's able to freely access both Levengard and Anarchy Mountain without much trouble.
  269.
  270. The boy pocketed his 'shopping list' for now, tapping his chin as he began speaking to himself. "Who would know about getting Arcanium without selling your soul for a single chunk..." he'd murmur. And in that statement, he wasn't wrong. Arcanium was horribly expensive as most everyone knew, generally costing fifteen thousand or more for a single chunk.
  271.
  272. Besides that, he'd just wander further towards town, ignoring more else around him for the moment.
  273. (Nykros)
  274. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  275.
  276. [12:57] Ronan silently continues his pursuit.
  277. (Ronan)
  278. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  279.
  280. [13:00] Nick sighs, having found not a single person in Levengard that would be able to assist him, now heading back in the direction of Anarchy Mountain.
  281. (Nykros)
  282. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  283.
  284. [13:03] A sigh of disappointment - It seemed as though the search was going poorly. Enough time had passed between their initial encounter that Ronan felt confident in his future endeavors. A familiar cavern was up ahead -- Meaning he could use it to his advantage.
  285.
  286. Amongst the shadows, spoke a voice.
  287.
  288. "Hey... Hey, you. Kid!" It called out from over yonder. Approaching it, would reveal a individual in black garb: Ragged in form and poorly kempt.
  289. Probably just another wanderer.
  290.
  291. " You look -familiar- yes?"
  292.
  293. The boy had never met this individual, for they did not exist.
  294. Spatial manipulation and illusionism birthed their image.
  295. "From the mountain?"
  296. (Ronan)
  297. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  298.
  299. [13:06] The boy turned to face this new approaching figure, sighing and shaking his head, "No, not exactly. I'm from Levengard, but I frequent the mountains for ores." he'd say. it was an obvious lie to anyone who has ever truly met them, under no false pretenses.
  300.
  301. "What do you want?" he'd question, crossing his arms. It seems he wasn't going to reveal much at all to one of Ronan's constructs by this point, his guard was up to quite the high degree when it came to people.
  302. (Nykros)
  303. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  304.
  305. [13:12] High guard or not, Ronan loved a challenge. If the wise could be misled and the resilient could be broken? What was to say this child wouldn't follow the same trend? Ultimately, his intent for them weighed on how they portrayed themselves.
  306.
  307. " No. " The persona croaked, beyond the hood they wore.
  308. " I definitely know you now, boy. I've -SEEN- you on that mountain. " They seemed older, a woman claiming to have resided in the region.
  309.
  310. " You've been looking for someone, yes? … Yes... You're looking for someone, or- no. You were looking for someone. " He gave a witch-like chuckle, before making her hobble towards the youth. Her tone softened much more, as though a grandmother to her descendants - wishing to impart a sense of closure.
  311.
  312. " You're the one looking for the Arcanium, yes?"
  313. (Ronan)
  314. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  315.
  316. [13:16] The boy tilted his head, seeming confused. He never really knew what it was to have 'family' due to his actual family perishing in the fall of down, and being raised in Levengard as and orphan, and the soul survivor of his own familial unit. Therefore, the appearance given to this woman made to difference to him.
  317.
  318. "Yes, I was searching for someone. A certain man who I am curious about them. They're not your normal magi." he'd respond initially, crossing his arms again.
  319.
  320. "And yes, I am looking for Arcanium. A decent amount of it too." he'd at least reveal.
  321. (Nykros)
  322. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  323.
  324. [13:21] Finally, some leeway -- Ronan drifted a bit higher, careful not to bump up against anything prowling on the ceiling, and even more so of stalactites.
  325.
  326. "Not your normal magi?" She asked, before bouncing her small form through a light chortle.
  327. " I can't say I've ever met a 'normal' magi before. " She teased him for the terminology, but didn't dabble on it for too long.
  328.
  329. " Arcanium, huh? Quite the challenge for anyone, especially someone of your age. " She warned, " What sort of magi is it, if you don't me asking? " He prodded, " I've seen quite the number of faces, perhaps I could point you in the right direction. "
  330. An offer of help from a stranger? Perhaps, the boy's luck was going to take a turn for the better.
  331. (Ronan)
  332. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  333.
  334. [13:24] A blank stare was all that was offered for a few moments before sighing.
  335.
  336. "As I recall it, the man was an illusion magi as far as I could tell, he also wore no shirt for whatever reason, even in the freezing climate of the mountaintops. Further, he had black hair, and a darker shade of skin."
  337.
  338. That seemed to be all he'd say, making no mention of what he intended to do after finding them, nor what he intended to do with the Arcanium he sought after!
  339. (Nykros)
  340. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  341.
  342. [13:33] " Hmmm... " She reached up to tap at her lips, as though in deep thought.
  343. Ronan hovering up above had his original suspicions confirmed:
  344.
  345. - This teenager -was- from Anarchy Mountain
  346. - This individual -was- looking for him
  347.
  348. For whatever reason, they must've believed that he could assist them in finding... Arcanium? If they could stumble upon such a precious metal, certainly Ronan would've sought to take it for himself. No, this couldn't have been for a mere boy -- No one would allow for such to happen to freely, unless the teen was absolutely driven to perils unlike the many before him.
  349.
  350. This, had to be the work of Sors -- Or so he thought.
  351.
  352. " Ah, yes. I believe I know who it is you speak of. " They drummed up, " Though, if it is the man that I believe you're referring to. He's not the sort you find in your travels. " She claimed, before looking back at Nykros with a grave expression on her face.
  353.
  354. " If you're looking for -him-, then he will find you. " A strange twist on things, when playing the thought out in the mind. Perhaps, she'd be disregarded and left to the caverns -- Ultimately, it was Nykros decision.
  355. (Ronan)
  356. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  357.
  358. [13:39] The boy gave a rather cold and distant stare to the woman, shaking his head with a sigh.
  359.
  360. "Well, thank you anyways. If you're lost, take the west path, then take the Southwest-most exit." he'd offer to her. "Then travel along the South path to a set of naturally formed stairs, go up them, and head West to find Levengard." he'd finish.
  361.
  362. The boy was under no control of anyone. He was opportunistic at best, pushing his own agenda when he can, but otherwise keeping to himself in order to avoid conflicts finding him.
  363.
  364. With that out of the way, it seemed he truly did lose interest in the man as he began heading back up the mountain, stretching out in the cold, crisp air. Once he thought he was alone. "Geez... Here's hoping either Mistletoe or Sors hold up their promises... Staying on the mountain just to learn Necromancy from 'em is just getting boring and old at this point..." he'd say in a vaguely bitter tone.
  365. (Nykros)
  366. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  367.
  368. [13:46] "The mortal coil is... Quite the intriguing enigma, is it not?"
  369. The voice lacked a position, speaking from all places at once -- As though from within Nykros. This wasn't his conscience, obviously -- The voice was nothing like his.
  370.
  371. From behind a tree up ahead, a brown hooded individual paced into clear view, leaning up against a side where he'd be most visible upon the boy's exit from the cave.
  372.
  373. He didn't pass them a fleeting glance, as though he knew fair and well as to whom it was who approached him. All that was visible beyond his curling cape and hood was his lips, and crossed arms bulging from his chest.
  374. "I suppose you're still looking for something to earn their motives for imparting that knowledge on you."
  375. He had made enough connections to figure a theory out.
  376.
  377. "Personally, I've been pursuing that knowledge as well, but I don't feel as though it is all that fitting for a child." They turned their head slightly, clearly directing their monologue for Nykros.
  378.
  379. "Even less so, that said child is looking around for me. I can't have that..."
  380. (Ronan)
  381. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  382.
  383. [13:53] The boy simply stared for a few moments. Searching for them? What sort of egomaniac was he? This soon caused Nick to burst into laughter!
  384.
  385. "Hehehh… Search... For you? That's priceless. I merely saw something that looked vaguely like you near Levengard, I was curious, so I decided I may as well try and find out. But now? That seems boring, and a waste of time. I've no further interest, quite honestly. And how exactly is it not fitting for a child? The art of Necromancy is knowledge. Knowledge can be obtained by anyone willing to obtain it. And then that knowledge can be put to practice. Simple as that."
  386.
  387. "And as for earning it? I've no need, they both already agreed to assist my pursuits without a price attached." he'd explain.
  388.
  389. "And as for the mortal coil? It's merely a shackle by which every divine entity wishes to use to toy with, and enslave the mortal races as far as I'm concerned. Shattering it for good sounds like a pleasant thought in that regard, doesn't it? Severing all ties to their wishes, commands, and so on?"
  390. (Nykros)
  391. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  392.
  393. [14:03] Ronan heard Nykros, but opted not to respond. In fact, it proved a few more things, even set him at ease. If the boy was oblivious, than nothing worthy of concern tied itself to Nykros any longer.
  394. His security was guaranteed, and it made Ronan's face contort for a grandiose smile.
  395.
  396. If they were as confident as they were about the story, as they told it, then Ronan's fears were put to rest.
  397. As for the final question from Nykros, he gave a weak laugh.
  398. " Well then, it looks like you've got a good head resting on those shoulders of yours. "
  399.
  400. With that, he started on his departure. The adversary that he personally eyed for, was not present here.
  401. " Perhaps, you'll make a decent mage in time... Or die trying. Regardless, try not to die in your endeavors for your Arcanium, will you? " He dismissed the boy as he started to wander off by foot, a hand waving him off midst his exit.
  402. (Ronan)
