SCIENCE is truth, yes, but those who do it; the regulatory bodies; those who report it; those who teach it... control what you think you know. The Universe is infinite and eternal. A lot of "science" either falls within a rough 6000-year time frame, or has still very 'creationist' undertones to it.

There is esoteric/occult/hidden/secret (call it whatever you want) knowledge which mainstream "science" (as in the education, rather than Science itself) is trying to learn. Everything I have said can be answered by science; everything regarding ghosts/spirits (no, but crap paranormal TV programmes), Daemons (physical people, not shit judeochristian and islam shite), and many more things you might not know about can ask her what she explained by real science: "abraham" has held us back so much, especially during the dark ages where there was zero scientific progress for ages.
