  3. Hey
  4. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  5. Yo
  6. How old are you
  7. How many dreams do you usually remember per week? This last week?
  8. How many dreams have you had since you started trying to LD ?
  9. How long you been trying to LD?
  10.
  11. Have you had any success? Please explain.
  12. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  13. Im 15 years old right now, turning 16 this year.
  14. I remember from 1 to 3/4 dreams every day with some exceptions of none when I sleep really bad. So that would be different every week.
  15. Last week I had 12 in total.
  16. Ive had 31 dreams (most non-LD) since I started my digital DJ which is a couple days after I started.
  17. Ive been trying to LD for about a month now.
  18.
  19. Ive had some success yeah, first of all I notice drastic changes in dream recall. From about 3 dreams a week now to almost 2 a day.
  20. In LD wise too, from 1 accidental LD every 3 years to now 2 this month.
  21. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  22. Okay, how long do your dreams seem?
  23. How long are your LDs?
  24. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  25. Well the length differs aswell, from 2 minutes to maybe an hour.
  26. The 2 LDs lasted around 10 mins and 15 mins.(gewijzigd)
  27. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  28. Okay. So why do you think you need help?
  29. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  30. Id like to become omni one day
  31. And make them last a little longer
  32. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  33. So why do you think you need help?
  34. That is your goal, why would you need help for it?
  35. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  36. Because I dont know how exactly to achieve it, I need a guidance to put me on the right path and a relyable information source.
  37. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  38. Is English your first language?
  39. How fast do you read?
  40. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  41. English isnt my native language but Ive gotten around to read it pretty fluently yeah
  42. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  43. Gotcha. I can send you some things, but I kinda wonder how long it would take ya to read them.
  44. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  45. Okay :p
  46. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  47. But I need more info.
  48. Have you read any of my threads?(gewijzigd)
  49. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  50. No, sorry
  51. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  52. NP.
  53. You seem to know hormoz, has he been helping you?
  54. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  55. I wouldnt call it "helping"
  56. Ive learned some things from skipper tho
  57. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  58. Haha.
  59. hormoz will question any thoughts to see if he can force creativity or force you to think of the bigger picture.
  60. It isnt very helpful for most, but I find it helpful to have convos with him.
  61. Skipper, lol.
  62. He is very interesting and new. If his way works for you, then you can just do that, if it doesnt, then it probably never will.
  63. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  64. Yeah, Its not working to well
  65. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  66. It doesnt work extremely well for him either, haha. But dont tell him that.
  67. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  68. xD
  69. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  70. So what do you do for recall? And what have you done for LDing.
  71. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  72. Ive been doing Rcs and keeping a DJ(gewijzigd)
  73. Rcs has paid of today I guess but it wasnt an ordinary Rc, I was thinking about what I was going to do when Im in an LD and realised I was in one
  74. The Other LD I just knew I was in a dream for some reason, I just felt it or something
  75. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  76. What does your RC consist of?
  77. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  78. Well, I just stop for a moment and think wether Im actually in a dream or not(gewijzigd)
  79. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  80. Gotcha.
  81. Well, I would recommend this thread:
  82. https://www.dreamviews.com/dreamviews-audio/157006-when-i-first-started-lucid-dreaming-i-wish-someone-would-have-told-me.html
  83. When I First Started Lucid Dreaming, I Wish Someone Would Have Tol...
  84. The audio is here. This is an audio about things that I wish people would have told me when I first started LDing. The audio explains it all. Let me
  85. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  86. Okay Ill read it right away :p
  87. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  88. Sorry. It is a podcast.
  89. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  90. Yeah I see
  91. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  92. Lemme know when you are done
  93. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  94. Yup
  95. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  96. Aight, its done
  97. With the thing that its hard, what do you mean by that. I get that its hard to constantly do something every day but what is it that you have to do
  98. Also, did you ever write a thread about dream control?
  99. Because I mightve read that one(gewijzigd)
  100. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  101. I have written like 3 threads on dream control. :P
  102. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  103. Yeah I think I read one(gewijzigd)
  104. In one of them you were talking about perspectif to with setting the field on fire by holding your hand over it, I did something similar. When changing the scenerie instead of closing my eyes I held my hand and covered a part of my right vision and imagined what there would be.
  105. And it worked pretty well
  106. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  107. The hard part is to do something every day. For me, right now, all I need to do is pay some attention to dreams right before bed and then sleep some at night. Everyone has some sort of demon they have to fight, even when all is said and done. Mine is actually sleeping at night. Others seem to lack any ability, others seem to lose drive, others lose motivation. There is a limiting factor for all
  108. Nice. Perspective is key. Dreams are a false perception. Change your perception, you can change your dreams.
  109. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  110. I also did something else, when I was young I used to make these gestures and such to act like if I had some abilities, and when doing that in the dreams they also seemed to work
  111. Like with telekenis and filling a glass from bottom to top without actually pouring anything in
  112. Im having some trouble with sleeping too lately, like Im not as tired at 1am anymore and its gettign harder for me to keep my eyes closed
  113. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  114. What do you mean by "with telekinesis" ? That sounds like a different power.
  115.
  116. I used yo do the same when I was younger, but by younger, I mean at your age. I did it with the idea that "if I think a certain way in dreams, I will think it in dreams and be able to do it" so I went around using telekinesis in my head all day and got it in my dreams. Then I did it with fire and then with anime powers. When I started LDing, those abilities were easy and natural since I had already done them.
  117. Those that lucid dream seem to be or become light sleepers, those that aren't light sleepers seem to struggle to lucid dream or they become light sleepers.
  118. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  119. Well, with the telekenesis I still make like gestures and such to make them happen, I then just think what I actually want the objects to do and it worked
  120. I broke a glass and made the pieces come together in the air and melt back to a glass
  121. I read a thread about telekenesis when I was younger and then I started "practising" for a while
  122. from there
  123. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  124. Nice.
  125. Well, you have had two lucid dreams, so you know what you need to do to become lucid in one way, so now that you can lucid dream, you must continue along the path. Dont change course looking through others paths. You can learn from them and avoid pitfalls in your own path, but you cannot go down another's path.
  126. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  127. I dont know what I did to get the lucid dreams tbh
  128. I guess Ill just keep doing what Im doing
  129. Only thing I remember is that the waking up around 5am when I sleep at like midnight is doing something
  130. Ive had a couple times that I got a really big dream and today an LD by doing so
  131. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  132. Well, if you dont know what is working, then review. What was the day like before? What was the night like during? Is there any difference between that night and this?
  133. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  134. I get the dream after I go back to sleep
  135. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  136. Waking up and going back to sleep is a strong tech.
  137. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  138. Not sure about the first LD
  139. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  140. It doesnt work alone, but I recommend doing 4 or 5 a night if you can.
  141. During them, ponder dreams, visualize dreams.
  142. If it works to bring recall, it can work to get you lucid.
  143. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  144. I see
  145. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  146. If you think about LDing like basketball, then every time you fall asleep, you shoot. The more times you can shoot, the more practice.
  147. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  148. I see it as a sort of challenge
  149. Every night I face it again(gewijzigd)
  150. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  151. Obviously everyone has different limits and all, but I really recommend doing a lot of wbtbs. Others claim they can't get back to sleep if they wbtb, but if they tried it enough, they would find a way.
  152. Yep. It is another shot.
  153. Keep shooting.
  154. Taking 5 shots a night is much more than 5 times as effective as taking one shot a night.
  155. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  156. During wbtb its quite easy for me to get back to sleep since Im already drowsy so that could work out
  157. Getting to sleep in the first place can sometimes be a struggle tho
  158. Sensei - 10-04-2018
  159. Same here.
  160. Going back to sleep is never a problem.
  161. It is the initial beast that I have to fight. I seemed to have conquered it quite well, but now these allergies are making it a new challenging and annoying level
  162. Doctor_Foxy - 10-04-2018
  163. Hmm
  164. 11 april 2018
  165. Doctor_Foxy - 11-04-2018
  166. Semeone said that you got tortured by DCs in an LD for a week once, was that what you meant by that lucid nightmares are so horrible?
  167. 12 april 2018
  168. Sensei - 12-04-2018
  169. Haha, nah, that wasnt lucid till the end.
  170. Doctor_Foxy - 12-04-2018
  171. I just got another lucid!
  172. Thats 3 in a month and 2 in a week
  173. My dream control was very limited tho so I might look at your threads about it again
  174. It lasted quite long so thats good(gewijzigd)
  175. Sensei - 12-04-2018
  176. Nice.
  177. Doctor_Foxy - 12-04-2018
  178. It was again after going back to sleep at 5am(gewijzigd)
  179. And also, would you mind telling me about your scariest dream? Id like to know what Im up against if I get a really bad one.
  180. Sensei - 12-04-2018
  181. Haha. Probably the one where I had multiple false awakenings when trying to get away from a evil feeling presence. As soon as I realized it was a dream, my sight would go out and then I would be thrown against the walls and ceiling and I couldn't call on any dream control. Arms and legs breaking and then I would force myself to wake up. Finally in my bed I would realize that something was wrong with my room, realize it was a dream and then my sight would go out. Slam into the ceiling breaking my neck and shoulders, slammed against the corner of the bed where I can feel my arm snap. I would force myself awake... And so on and so forth. By the end, when I woke I was crying and hugging my wife, saying goodbye to her, because I feel like my mind wouldnt last if it kept up. Then I would realize that my wife wasn't waking and it must be a dream. Sight leaves.
  182. It went on for a long time.
  183. Doctor_Foxy - 12-04-2018
  184. Thats intense
  185. Sensei - 12-04-2018
  186. It was a while ago
  187. It isnt the worst I have heard of.
  188. When you lose control and start running, you gotta stop and face it. Attention like fear and worry give it power. Not in like a mystical way. But attention is kind of what dreams made of. Attention, perception, connections. If you keep running from something, it will keep chasing you.
  189. Doctor_Foxy - 12-04-2018
  190. Ive had that
  191. A typical nightmare of mine
  192. Is that Im alone upstairs and I go to the bathroom
  193. Before I enter the bathroom I see my mom standing in her room stiff like a statue
  194. Then she starts screaming and running at me so I run into the bathroom because it has a lock(gewijzigd)
  195. Last time I had this
  196. I faced it
  197. She was to quick and I didnt lock the door
  198. I started fighting it with my mind and for a few seconds it seemed to work
  199. Then I lost concentration and started screaming so mom and dad would come upstairs
  200. Wake up
  201. Sensei - 12-04-2018
  202. I think that awareness in dreams can bring nightmares. Usually they happen when we notice something is wrong, nightmare or lucid dream can commence from there. I think it is funny that people talk about wanting LDs, but dont want to wake up during the night. If you are present, you will notice the waking. Just like you notice it after a nightmare.
  203. Doctor_Foxy - 12-04-2018
  204. I never noticed something was wrong
  205. I just used to be extremely paranoid upstairs
  206. And that has passed on in my dreams(gewijzigd)
  207. Sensei - 12-04-2018
  208. Why you paranoid about it?
  209. Doctor_Foxy - 12-04-2018
  210. I always thought there was something there just that sensation
  211. Doctor_Foxy - 12-04-2018
  212. The sensation you would have when somethings about to happen and you know it
  213. Its probs just me making stuff up
  214. Sensei - 12-04-2018
  215. Nah, it makes sense. Kinda like a sensation that something is gonna happen good or something is gonna happen bad.
  216. Fortnite servers are down. :(
  217. Doctor_Foxy - 12-04-2018
  218. xD
  219. The sensation is way more to the bad side
  220. I dont even know anymore which of the memories of me being up there are real
  221. I remember running down the stairs feeling something is chasing me
  222. Sensei - 12-04-2018
  223. Haha. That can be hard. Try to dream of new places. Destroy the old.
  224. Doctor_Foxy - 12-04-2018
  225. Yeah thats why I dont feel like doing APs since you wake up in your room and the second I go out of my room I see my parents one
  226. I never go to my house in dreams anyway
  227. Sensei - 12-04-2018
  228. Its almost like a dream. Or exactly like a dream. Have yet to hear a difference really.
  229. Doctor_Foxy - 12-04-2018
  230. Yeah but they all seem to wake up where they went to sleep
  231. Sensei - 12-04-2018
  232. Yeah, FAs are really common when you have an inkling that you are actually laying down and going to sleep. If you ask me, it is a step down from LD. It is losing that bit of awareness that knows that dreams arent real and waking is real. Instead it says "this is real just like waking" which is the same thing you think in a non lucid dream.
  233. I might not say "isnt real" since they are "real dreams" but there is a difference between the two
  234. Doctor_Foxy - 12-04-2018
  235. Hmm
  236. Another thing, I tried to use telekenesis like last time but it didnt work this time
  237. Any explanation for that?
  238. Sensei - 12-04-2018
  239. Sometimes things dont work in dreams.
  240. You can quote me on that. :P
  241. But really, sometimes if a dream feels too real or you feel like you aren't in good control, it can be difficult to do your normal dream control. Slow down, gather yourself use creativity to change yourself and figure out how to proceed
  242. I can't use TK. I need to calm down. Still can't use it. I just need to push the TK button. Still can't use it. I need to take a TK pill. Still can't use it. Must be this lamp. Breaks lamp. It works. Yatta!
  243. Doctor_Foxy - 12-04-2018
  244. I might try that next time
  245. For how complex it is how can the mind be tricked so easily
  246. Sensei - 12-04-2018
  247. Because it is a tool, you are not deceiving it and it isnt deceived by the dreams. You are. And dreams are a deception of your perceptions, so if you know what is happening, you can become in charge of your perceptions.
  248.
  249. There is also the fact that most people aren't lucid in waking any more than they are in dreams.

  258. Doctor_Foxy - 13-04-2018
  259. That trap tho
  260. 14 april 2018
  261. Sensei - 14-04-2018
  262. Ive been working hard at getting trap kills.
  263. Lol
  264. Doctor_Foxy - 14-04-2018
  265. My dream recall hasnt been so good last 2 nights, should I be worried. I mean I know Ive had a big dream and I remember 1 fragment out of it but thats it.
  266. Sensei - 14-04-2018
  267. What are you doing for recall?
  268. Doctor_Foxy - 14-04-2018
  269. Wbtb and dream journal
  270. I only wake up once tho for wbtb
  271. Sensei - 14-04-2018
  272. What is your DJ like?
  273. Doctor_Foxy - 14-04-2018
  274. On my phone
  275. And then try to write down as much as I can

  277. https://www.dreamviews.com/dream-signs-recall/140958-how-effectively-dream-journal.html
  278.
  279. This is kind of an idea of how to make your DJ more effective.
  280. How to effectively Dream Journal
  281. Welcome. Thank you for reading my tutorial for journaling your dreams. This method is to show a way to get the most possible out of your dream journal.
  282. Doctor_Foxy - 14-04-2018
  283. Ill have alook at it ;p
  284. lmao
  285.
  286. Sensei - 14-04-2018
  287. Haha.
  288. Doctor_Foxy - 14-04-2018
  289. Sensei, what do you think about tulpas and such
  290. 15 april 2018
  291. Sensei - 15-04-2018
  292. I think tulpas are the same as DCs. They are basically either a projection of an idea of a human, or a mask that one wears.
  293. Doctor_Foxy - 15-04-2018
  294. I remembered 4 short dreams today so I think recall is still okay
  295. 20 april 2018
  296. Sensei - 20-04-2018
  297. Hey, you are learning Japanese. Why?
  298. Doctor_Foxy - 20-04-2018
  299. Dk why really, I just felt like trying
  300. Sensei - 20-04-2018
  301. Lol. What languages do you know?
  302. Doctor_Foxy - 20-04-2018
  303. Dutch, English, German and French
  304. Although I dont like learning Germand and French
  305. Sensei - 20-04-2018
  306. Gotcha. Which is your first language?
  307. Doctor_Foxy - 20-04-2018
  308. Dutch
  309. Hey I have a problem rn
  310. ;p
  311. Sensei - 20-04-2018
  312. Sup.
  313. Doctor_Foxy - 20-04-2018
  314. Im trying to sleep but I keep hearing this really low base in the background but its in my head
  315. And it keeps me from sleeping
  316. Sensei - 20-04-2018
  317. Hmmm... Is it tinnitus?
  318. Or is it only there at night?
  319. Doctor_Foxy - 20-04-2018
  320. Only at night yeah but not at first
  321. Normally I can just sleep and not hea rit
  322. But other nights when I cant sleep and struggle It comes again
  323. Sensei - 20-04-2018
  324. Hmmm... Maybe it just comes from listening to the silence? Are you ever in silent places? Your mind might be making a noise since you aren't used to no noise.
  325. Doctor_Foxy - 20-04-2018
  326. I sleep in no noise every day lol(gewijzigd)
  327. Other than rainy days
  328. Which there are quite a few in Belgium
  329. I have a feeling its like hearing my bloodstream or something
  330. Because its this quite
  331. Sensei - 20-04-2018
  332. So is it there since starting LDing?
  333. Doctor_Foxy - 20-04-2018
  334. Nah
  335. Its been there forever but just not every night
  336. Some nights when I cant sleep
  337. Idk if its the cause of me not sleeping or an after effect
  338. Sensei - 20-04-2018
  339. Yeah, it reminds me of how I would always think of my breathing when I was younger and couldbt sleep.
  340. Doctor_Foxy - 20-04-2018
  341. I got a really big dream after I managed to sleep so Id say it was worth it
  342. Even a part lucid :p
  343. Sensei - 20-04-2018
  344. Nice!
  345. Doctor_Foxy - 20-04-2018
  346. Hormoz wants to know if hes a nice person(gewijzigd)
  347. And I have to ask you
  348. Sensei - 20-04-2018
  349. Haha. Ask him what a nice person is in his opinion.
  350. He isnt mean.
  351. But he doesnt go out of his way to be nice.
  352. Doctor_Foxy - 20-04-2018
  353. Hormoz: "Why did he ask that?"
  354. Sensei - 20-04-2018
  355. To better understand his question.
  356. Unless he wants you to go by your definition of nice
  357. Doctor_Foxy - 20-04-2018
  358. seems like i got Hormoz wrong about to know if he is nice or not.
  359. Anyways, how do you gain lucidity in dreams?
  360. Sensei - 20-04-2018
  361. What do you mean about the first one?
  362.
  363. Hard to explain. I would say that it is kinda a part of me now. Think of a juggler, how does he juggle 3 balls? By tossing them in the air? It is that simple and yet that complicated.
  364.
  365. If I want to make sure I want a lucid dream, I do naiya simple mild 4+ micro wbtbs with one long one. During each of them I do naiya simple mild. I usually am trying more and more new techniques to see if any will be more effective or will help me, some do help a lot and are too much work. Some techs dont help at all.
  366. Doctor_Foxy - 20-04-2018
  367. Naiya?
  368. Sensei - 20-04-2018
  369. Google naiya simple mild dreamviews.
  370. Doctor_Foxy - 20-04-2018
  371. Okay :p
  372. Sensei - 20-04-2018
  373. Lmk what you think.
  374. Doctor_Foxy - 20-04-2018
  375. Well, last time I tried a mantra I just wouldnt fall asleep
  376. Sensei - 20-04-2018
  377. You dont have to fall asleep saying the mantra.
  378. Doctor_Foxy - 20-04-2018
  379. Oh
  380. Sensei - 20-04-2018
  381. You just do it, and then go to sleep the normal way.
  382. Doctor_Foxy - 20-04-2018
  383. Aight Ill try that
  384. Sensei - 20-04-2018
  385. It is good for those that can, but I have never been one that can.
  386.
  387. Plus, visualization is really the key to naiya. That also can be stopped right before you go to sleep.
  388. Doctor_Foxy - 20-04-2018
  389. Ah okay
  390. ;p
  391. ありばと
  392. Sensei - 20-04-2018
  393. I never know if I should correct peoples English or japanese on here. :P
  394. Doctor_Foxy - 20-04-2018
  395. I wrote it wrong?
  396. 23 april 2018
  397. Doctor_Foxy - 23-04-2018
  398. Oh yeah its ありばとう
  399. Sensei - 23-04-2018
  400. ありがとう
  401. You have "ba" instead of "ga"
  402. How was your night?
  403. Doctor_Foxy - 23-04-2018
  404. I tried a night without wbtb and remember 2 fragments of dreams. Had a rough time getting to sleep tho
  405. Sensei - 23-04-2018
  406. Nice, so dream recall foundation seems to be higher even without a wbtb?
  407. Doctor_Foxy - 23-04-2018
  408. Higher than before yeah
  409. 25 april 2018
  410. Doctor_Foxy - 25-04-2018
  411. So I had a nightmare and when I woke up somewhere in the middle from my alarm I went back to sleep and entered the same nightmare
  412. How could I prevent that from happening(gewijzigd)
  413. Sensei - 25-04-2018
  414. Yes! You can! I used to have this as a kid, so my mind said two things:
  415. If I wake from a dream and go right back to sleep, even after a minute or two, I can choose to reenter the dream, if the dream feeling is there.
  416. And
  417. If I dont want to re enter the dream, I just have to get up for a few minutes and think about something else.
  418.
  419. It got to a point where I could reenter a dream after being awake for a few hours if I chose to keep the feeling of the dream.
  420. Doctor_Foxy - 25-04-2018
  421. Alright, Ill try that
  422. Sensei - 25-04-2018
  423. It is all about the feeling. Recall the feeling, when he feeling has faded, you can go back to sleep. Or, make it stronger so you can reenter.
  424. 28 april 2018
  425. Doctor_Foxy - 28-04-2018
  426. Arlight, so I had this pretty cool dream and after it ended I had a dream that literally continued on the first one. In the middle of that I remember that I was in a dream, I still don know how but I just did it. I then said Ill play along a little longer but with being concious ofcourse because we were doing some themepark rides. I then got back in this state where I feel my actual body and it goes black. And go back in this state between awake and dream so I create a little environement in my head and bam Im there, I then change scenerie but no matter how many times I switch its amways with pologons like in video games and never super realistic. I then after a while wake u(gewijzigd)
  427. I dont know if this state between dream or awake was real tho
  428. Like it couldve been still in the dream
  429. Hard to tell
  430. Sensei - 28-04-2018
  431. Sounds like it was a lucid dream. Also, most dild will seem like that, you just know that you are dreaming. It comes from your practice and belief and all, but it seems spontaneous.
  432. Doctor_Foxy - 28-04-2018
  433. Aight ;p
  434. 7 mei 2018
  435. Doctor_Foxy - 07-05-2018
  436. How would I go about increasing my prospective memory
  437. Sensei - 07-05-2018
  438. Gooooogle. Lol. I dont do it.
  439. How is your recall? I feel like you need to focus on that more before convoluting your practice with something working on something else
  440. 8 mei 2018
  441. Doctor_Foxy - 08-05-2018
  442. Well, I stopped Djing for a bit because it got really much but yeah my dream recall has decreased a lot(gewijzigd)
  443. Ima just get back at Djing
  444. Sensei - 08-05-2018
  445. Good luck! Make your entries shorter rather than just quitting altogether
  446. Doctor_Foxy - 08-05-2018
  447. So, Im also trying to WILD. Im seeing some improvements but I still have a way to go. So I thought that if I tried it after I woke up during the night it would be easier because Id be drowsy. But it turns out Im so drowsy and tired that I dont even have the mental power at that time to even try
  448. What else could I try or improve
  449. Doctor_Foxy - 08-05-2018
  450. Turns out I understood WILD wrong Ima check some different sources
  451. Do you maybe have any threads on it?

  457. Hello! Welcome to my humble guide. In the paragraphs that follow, I'll be cataloging just about everything you need to know to have a successful WILD.
  458. Why You Fail at WILDs - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views
  459. In the following article I will be sharing insights I have gained over the past two years in regards to the fine art known as WILDing. Keep in mind, all of this comes from personal experience, and you should probably take it with a grain of salt,...
  460. 9 mei 2018
  461. Doctor_Foxy - 09-05-2018
  462. I can hardly fall asleep in general. How am I suposed to while thinking of that anchor
  463. Sensei - 09-05-2018
  464. Delayed anchor maybe? Do you always struggle to sleep? Or just ay beginning of night or during wbtbs? Usually people struggle with only one.
  465. Doctor_Foxy - 09-05-2018
  466. Beginning of the night yeah. When wbtb I still do like I dont know how to fall asleep anf then I just do after some time(gewijzigd)
  467. Sensei - 09-05-2018
  468. Gotcha. That is the normal way for people to fall asleep.
  469. The problem with lots of LDers is paying attention to the process stops the process.
  470. Dont pay attention to the process. Pick a very light anchor, pay attention to that and let the process happen naturally.
  471. Doctor_Foxy - 09-05-2018
  472. I see
  473. With a mantra as anchor. Do you like let it "float" somewhere in your the back of your head(gewijzigd)
  474. Sensei - 09-05-2018
  475. Yeah, that isnt how I would put it, but that if that is what your mind came up with, then that is probably the best way for you to view it. It sounds like the right amount of attention.

  490. Doctor_Foxy - 12-05-2018
  491. Something else to note, in my last LD after a little time it was as if I was looking trough a pair off goggles, like my field of view was just limited.(gewijzigd)
  492. I saw in a thread somewhere that you had to act as if you actually had goggles on and put them off and I did but after a couple of seconds it was back(gewijzigd)
  493. 14 mei 2018
  494. Sensei - 14-05-2018
  495. Yeah, dream control is sketch
  496. Attention is important. Perception changes your experience

  498. Doctor_Foxy - 16-05-2018
  499. Just something Im curious about. What is the longest time dilation youve ever heard of?(gewijzigd)
  500. Or maybe done yourself

  509. Doctor_Foxy - afgelopen maandag om 15:23
  510. Okay so, lets say I want a chair to appear infront of me. Every time Ive tried the chair appeared in giant form behind a building or somewhere else but Ive never been able to just make a chair appear infront of me.
  511. Any advice?
  512. Sensei - afgelopen maandag om 15:34
  513. Dream control is about perception and creativity. Think of a way that it makes sense within the rules. Think of rules as plus, not negative.
  514. I can summon a chair behind me
  515. Not
  516. I can't summon a chair in front of me.
  517.
  518. So with something like that you could look behind you because you know without a doubt that it can appear behind you, because it happens all the time.
  519.
  520. Other ideas would be leaving your rules behind and going to a place with new rules. Like a chair summoning world, get a master there. Or just inhabit the mind of a master.
  521.
  522. Or create a fake memory of doing it in the past so you know that you can do it in the future.
  523.
  524. Or, summon a chair behind you that has a button on it that summons chairs in front of you.
  525.
  526. Or, summon a chair behind you, but reaaaaaaaallllly slowly, so that you can turn around at the beginning and watch the full summon.
  527.
  528. Or, summon me behind you and ask me to make you do it. I can program a DC, you'd just have to allow me to (this would most likely be a DC version of me)
  529.
  530. There are infinite ways, and some may work for you. When I try to do a dream control, I basically just keep trying and making rules and plans and trying and trying. Usually things take me about 4 tries to get unless it is something that I have done before. I can go into "omnipotent mode" but that is usually like the looking at the back of a puzzle book sometimes instead of finding the answers.
  531.
  532. One rule I go by, is to find what you are good at with dream control and use it to fuel your confidence and other control
  533.
  534. When I couldnt fly, but I could use tk, I tked a car with me in it in the air. Then I stopped changed my mindset from "this is tk" to "this is flying" and jumped out. It worked like a charm, but then the next dream I couldnt fly again. It took me a long time to master this skill that most seem to naturally have. Haha.
  535. Doctor_Foxy - afgelopen maandag om 15:36
  536. I once actually asked a DC where you were and all the DCs started pointing at each other so that was intresting
  537. And yeah, flying is a thing I can do most of the times
  538. Another thing, when I think now. I would stand still in an LD and try out all sorts of powers but when Im in the LD I forget that and just fly around a bit.
  539. Maybe thats just because the dreams are pretty weak and its at the end of most dreams(gewijzigd)
  540. Sensei - afgelopen maandag om 16:08

  547. Even though Im doing reality checks during the and keeping a DJ I still dont seem to get improvement like I used to
  548. After I quit DJing for a couple of days everything went wrong and its now been 2 weeks without a lot of improvement
  549. Something has changed
  550. 24 mei 2018
  551. Sensei - afgelopen donderdag om 15:20
  552. I am confused a bit. Really more about what you are asking me. It sounds like you are dealing with the inconsistent results of just DJing and RCing, which is why I lean away from them in all the things I say. Or if you do DJ, do it short or long with a purpose.
  553. Doctor_Foxy - afgelopen donderdag om 16:03
  554. Well Im DJing with a purpose to incrrase my recall but it hasnt had as much effect as last time
  555. Sensei - afgelopen donderdag om 23:36
  556. Well, I obviously recommend wbtb and naiya. I feel like they are almost irreplaceable to make up for consistency.
  557. 25 mei 2018
  558. Doctor_Foxy - gisteren om 15:46
  559. Also, wouldnt focussing on remembering your dreams already do the trick as much as writing since your still showing your brain you want to remember them?
  560. Sensei - gisteren om 15:48
  561. Hmmm... Is thinking about a book the same as doing a book report or reading it? I only write down a few words for each dream, if I don't, my recall slowly diminishes.
  562. Doctor_Foxy - gisteren om 15:48
  563. I see
  564. Sensei - gisteren om 15:52
  565. I usually wake for a minute, write a person, a place, and a thing that I am doing.
  566. Back to sleep.
  567. If I do a DJ (usually a month or two a year) I do it like my DJ system on DV.
  568. Still not a fully written DJ, too much time.
  569. Doctor_Foxy - gisteren om 15:53
  570. I havent been doing wbtb for a bit so Ima get back at it again. How many times during the night would you recommend?
  571. Sensei - gisteren om 16:05
  572. 4
  573. Doctor_Foxy - gisteren om 16:06
  574. Okay, that wil be quite a step up from 1 but will probs boost the odds of getting dreams/ LDs
  575. Sensei - gisteren om 16:07
  576. It should.
  577. Dont forget to wake yourself up a bit. If you are just waking up and then going back tk sleep, it won't help much. Raise the awareness as much as you personally feel comfy.
  578. Doctor_Foxy - gisteren om 16:08
  579. Yeah. Most of the times I would wake up and be too tired so directly go back to sleep.
  580. Sensei - gisteren om 16:10
  581. Yeah, gotta have a tiny bit of self control during the night. Not an place for most people to have it.
  582. 26 mei 2018
  583. Doctor_Foxy - vandaag om 09:55
  584. Would a drawing of a certaint moment in a dream with some words about the rest of the dream be enough to raise/ keep recall.
  585. Sensei - vandaag om 10:47
  586. Would it work to raise recall of an event in waking?
  587. Doctor_Foxy - vandaag om 10:48
  588. Yes I think
  589. Sensei - vandaag om 10:49
  590. Dont sound too confident. :P. It should definitely.
  591. Doctor_Foxy - vandaag om 10:50
  592. Okay then ;p
  593. Sensei - vandaag om 10:51
  594. This is gonna sound crazy, but there is no such thing as too confident in dream things. As long as that confidence is placed in yourself and not something you are doing.
  595. Who you are makes you lucid, not what you do.
  596. Doctor_Foxy - vandaag om 10:52
  597. Yeah since when Im still non-lucid its not really me acting or is it?
  598. Sensei - vandaag om 11:37
  599. Hmmm... If you are confident that you are good and it is easy, then it is gonna be easy. If you aren't confident that you are good and it is easy, there is a good chance you will struggle. So, if you can be confident, it isnt acting. If you are just pretending confidence, then it is. Does this make sense? There is also ignoring confidence. The dolphin way. It is kinda also the most confident way. Each night he goes to sleep and does his best and doesn't worry about results. Every morning he is 100% sure he did his best, so he accepts his results.
  600. A very good and enjoyable way to LD.
  601. In working out and other things, they often say to make goals about things you can change, not the things you cant. "I will be working out 5 days a week by the end of the year, but starting now I will do 3 days" vs "I'm gonna look like Dwayne Johnson in a year"
  602. Doctor_Foxy - vandaag om 11:40
  603. I am confident that it takes time and practise but Im getting there
  604. Id only be lying to myself if I say its really easy rn
  605. Sensei - vandaag om 11:41
  606. Alright. That is a good mindset. None of them were my mindset tho. :D
  607. I figured LDing was difficult, but I believed that I would be better than the rest if I could find out what makes people lucid and spam that. Using my brains to figure out what to do and applying it every night as much as possible. If I saw anyone succeeding faster than me, I knew I could do it better, so I studied harder and slept harder than all of them. :)
  608. After about 3-4 years, me and dolphin hit 1000 LDs at the same time lol.
  609. Doctor_Foxy - vandaag om 11:46
  610. I dragged a friend into this rn and me being me Im very competitive so idk if its a good thing or a bad one
  611. I had like 2 medium sized dreams today and that keeps me going for another couple of days where I then get another one or even a big one which extends it so thats how I keep running rn.
  612. I feel like its literally just growing and growing
  613. Till I get there I guess
  614. Im also trying to just understand the bigger picture about dreams
