Over eons truths, beliefs and knowledge are lost, or changed in the way only mankind can.

One such piece of truth was what would happen in December 2012. As the time came upon us, more and more people read the Mayan calendar. And they saw through the lens of what was said and what society expected – a cataclysmic event. Few among them read it truthfully noting the end of an era, the ushering of a new order.

Those who did were right. It began in July 2012, and the cataclysmic event believers saw the magnetic field weakening and more and more fell to that belief and the world set upon a fatalistic world view. Complacency and decadence were the call of the year.

Then on December 21st IT happened. By arrangement of the moons, planets and universe, a wormhole opened and 5 came through it. Later they would be identified but at that moment they fought in Colarado. No one was quite sure how long the fight lasted, but they fought savagely across the state. Little left behind them until for some reason few understood, they stopped, leaving a ravaged state and they brook off and went their separate ways.

Each had his or her own goals. And they influenced us all in ways that we did not understand even. Io’s technology, Hyperion’s bravery, Id’s gifts they were all changing us in different ways just as much as M’Haelion’s and the Wendigo’s destruction. They called themselves Titans.

It wasn’t just our minds and world that changed though – some of us were changed on a deeper level. Their presence or something caused a few of us to gain abilities. Mutants they were called by the distrustful and hated, Titans was the name they took themselves after the others.

Over the next 20 years the world changed. New technology came among us, the abilities spread and everything became different.

It is now 2032.
