- Unfortunately, there is no way to force Steam to use a specific version.
- However, here are some things you may be able to do:
- If you have security programs running, that might contribute to the issue.
- could you temporarily disable any of the following programs and try launching the game?
- - AVG
- - Windows Firewall
- - Windows Defender
- We simply need to narrow down the possible causal factors which may be preventing the game running.
- If so, try disabling these programs and then see if you are able to play the game, it may help us to either rule that out or proceed from there.
- Also, make sure that your friend is not playing the game with out mods. That could be an issue as well.

- This game was created using mods so there's no reason to try playing without them. If I wanted to play a vanilla game I would do that.
- I do not expect you to troubleshoot the mods we are using. I just have a simple question: is there a way to force Steam to use a specific version?

- I've already attached all my logs in the runic games/torchlight 2/logs folder, as well as the Ogre.log; where are the "log-ins" you request?
- This is the Steam version and we are not playing online using Runic's servers.
- Attached are my character's saves plus the shared stash.

- Hi there,
- Sorry to hear about that. Could you send me your last log-ins and saves so I could see where the issue might be?

- After updating to the latest version, my client crashes every time the other player character increases a level. This is LAN multiplayer with only one other client. The crash occurs regardless of who hosts the game, and her client does not crash when I level up. I wonder if there's a way to specifically roll back the version of the game to the one immediately previous - 1.25.5.2 worked without issues.
- We are both playing using Windows 7 Pro 64 bit with obviously the same mod list.
