What is pumping?

A group will choose an altcoin, and then buy lots of it together, and this is called pumping.
Why a group? Because together a group has more buying power (more bitcoins to spend).
In a few minutes lots of buying means the price goes up.

The group then tries to sell at a much higher price, making a lot of profit. Others see this and begin selling, resulting in the price crashing back down to the original.

The risk is knowing the right time to sell, as the price changes quickly.
Essentially, it is a way to make money together.
