  1. A warning about Redump.org's beta discs on ebay.

  3. It's come to my attention redump.org have been reselling playstation 2 betas they got from a guy in the united kingdom who in turn bought them from a former press worker. Redump.org paid a few thousand for these and are making a profit.

  5. There's a few issues users should be aware off before buying.

  7. The discs have possibly been faked, a few even show signs of bitrot/disc rot meaning the data could be lost/damaged.

There's been two cases where the discs sold/for sale do not match other known copys, examples being https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lucha-Libre-AAA-Heroes-del-Ring-PREPRODUCTION-PRESS-REVIEW-PROMO-Xbox-360-/253812359225 which doesn't match the copy released by redump.org's user dizzzy on archive.org https://archive.org/details/LuchaLibreAAAHroesDelRingUSABeta both discs listed have the exact build date.

There's also a review copy of Micro Machines V4 which doesn't match a copy I personally own and paid $5 for.. my copy had a printed cover with the name of the game and it's logo which doesn't match the CD-R they're selling here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Micro-Machines-V4-Prototype-Review-Press-PlayStation-2-PS2/253809930816

  13. They're selling unreleased games for thousands to gain attention, and then spamming other gaming history sites to get more views on the listings hoping someone will buy.

  15. Unreleased PS2 games have been selling for less then $100 the past few months. I myself got one for less than $60 and got a bunch of unreleased newer stuff for free in the past month.

  17. The part they have not told you is they plan to leak the data after 6 months so you cannot leave bad feedback on their ebay accounts.
