What is your mental illness?: Parasomnia

How did you get your mental illness?: It was a genetic disorder past down from her mom who also had it. Bora's mom was able to get treatment and recover from Parasomnia. However, Bora hasn't recovered.

When did you get diagnosed with your mental illness?: 14

How do you cope with your mental illness?: Bora is taking some pills to try and reduce the symptoms of parasomnia. Bora also tries to regulate her sleeping schedule but that doesn't work often.

Background:
Bora grew up in Seoul, South Korea, her birthplace. Bora enjoyed the city and was always energetic and loud. She was originally part of the 'popular' squad in elementary through middle school but students started thinking she was crazy. Bora was hurt by that, but nonetheless continued to be herself. When her graduation in middle school came around she put the song, 'Crazy Equals Genius' as her anthem. In high school she really didn't have any friends either. She merely had 'acquaintances'. Bora really didn't care. But in freshman year of high school, Bora started getting vivid nightmares whenever she went to sleep. She often couldn't move for a couple minutes when she woke up, allowing hallucinations to plague her. Adding to the fact she already sleepwalked didn't help. It was at age 14 when Bora was diagnosed with parasomnia.
Bora's parents tried to help her the best the could, but nobody can fight the demons in someone else's mind. The routine of nightmares, paralyzation, hallucinations, and sleepwalking continued in a never ending cycle throughout high school. When she went to college her parents forced her to stay at home because they didn't want her accidentally hurting her self while sleepwalking. It was around that time that Bora's parents found Camp Rose. They thought it was the perfect solution. They could simply ship their daughter off to a camp, and they would take care of her condition. Not to arouse suspicion, Bora's parents told Bora that they were going on a road trip and to pack her essentials. Bora was rather excited because she'd never been on a road trip before. After that first day on the road the arrived at Camp Rose. They quite literally shoved Bora out of the car, said bye, then pulled away full speed leaving their daughter betrayed and alone at a foreign place.

Personality:
Loud: Bora is super loud. She is that one girl who will scream at the top of their lungs out of a car window, singing to a song. Not many people appreciated Bora's loudness and often told her to quiet down. Bora, however, rarely listened and continued to do her thing.

Crazy: With all the symptoms of parasomnia getting to her, it was no wonder why people called her crazy. Hallucinations were the root of it. She often freaked and screeched unable to move in those times. This meant that people unaware of her condition always thought she had a loose screw somewhere.

Lonely: With everyone practically avoiding Bora she felt rather lonely. Bora never had many friends and if it felt even worse that nobody wanted to share a room with her. Bora just wanted to be accepted into a safe home, not shunned away from everyone.

Goofy: If you get to know Bora she is surprisingly goofy and funny. Bora will joke around a lot with you. Her favorite thing to do that's goofy is make silly nicknames for people.

Athletic: Bora loved the concepts of teams so she begged her parents to sign her up for one. Bora's parents eventually ended up choosing track and field. Bora loved it and enjoyed running. Her favorite events were long distances, and she sometimes did cross country.

Misunderstood: Bora is practically misunderstood by everyone. They all think of her as a loud, crazy maniac when in reality she just wants a friend. It's because of her symptoms she's always misunderstood.

Scared: Bora is rather frightened at heart. After all she does have scary vivid nightmare when she's asleep and seemingly real hallucinations when she is awake. She's always afraid one of the events will come to pass.
