The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a

  Southeastern Cook County in northeastern Illinois...
  Northwestern Lake County in northwestern Indiana...

* Until 4 15 PM.

* At 3 18 PM...a confirmed large and destructive tornado was
  observed over Hyde Park...or near Chicago... moving south at
  60 mph.

  TORNADO EMERGENCY for CHICAGO. This is a LIFE-THREATENING
  SITUATION. TAKE COVER NOW!

* HAZARD...Deadly tornado.

* SOURCE...Law enforcement confirmed tornado.

* IMPACT...You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris
           will be deadly to those caught without shelter. Mobile
           homes will be destroyed. Well-built structures will be
           swept from their foundations. Complete devastation to
           homes will be possible for those without a safe room.
           Roads will be swept up from the ground and could block
           many entrances to neighborhoods...homes...and
           businesses.
