  1. Offensive Powers
  2. Since martial powers focus on fighting, offensive powers
  3. are the most common, ranging from particular fighting
  4. techniques to enhancements of a character’s fighting capabilities.
  5. Analyze Style
  6. By observing and analyzing a foe’s fighting style and technique,
  7. you can find weaknesses you can exploit to your
  8. advantage. If the target fails to resist, you gain an advantage
  9. due to the drop in the target’s active defenses until
  10. the target manages to cover the opening by realizing
  11. (through defensive fighting skill) what you are doing. A
  12. variant form of this power may impose different conditions,
  13. such as Impaired and Disabled.
  14. Analyze Style: Perception Ranged Affliction (Resisted and
  15. Overcome by Will; Vulnerable, Defenseless), Conditions
  16. Limited to Your Attacks, Limited Degree, Insidious, Subtle • 2
  17. points +1 point per rank.
  18. Berserker Rage
  19. You can fly into a berserk rage in combat, making you
  20. strong and fearless, but heedless of your own safety.
  21. The GM may set a limit on the ranks of Strength you can
  22. gain from this power, or allow additional Strength-based
  23. Damage to be layered on top of the Enhanced Strength.
  24. Berserker Rage: Enhanced Advantage 1 (Fearless), Enhanced
  25. Strength, Sustained, Quirk (–1 to active defenses, –2 points) • 1
  26. point +2 points per additional Strength rank.
  27. Breaking Blow
  28. With a moment of focused concentration, you can strike
  29. “through” an object with tremendous force, allowing you
  30. to smash wood, or even stone and steel, with your bare
  31. hands. You may combine this with a Power Attack maneuver
  32. for additional effect.
  33. Breaking Blow: Strength-based Damage, Penetrating, Limited
  34. to Objects, Activation (move action, –1 point) • 1 point for rank
  35. 2, +1 point per additional rank.
  36. Chi Strike
  37. You focus your internal energies into a powerful unarmed
  38. strike, greater than just your physical strength. This power
  39. often has a flaw like Tiring to represent the drain on the
  40. wielder’s energy.
  41. Chi Strike: Strength-based Damage • 1 point per rank.
  42. Dim Mak
  43. You have mastered the legendary dim mak, or “death
  44. touch” attack, allowing you to introduce “poison chi” into a
  45. target’s system that eventually destroys them from within.
  46. Progression beyond incapacitated takes the character’s
  47. condition to dying. Some forms of Dim Mak are also Insidious
  48. and Subtle.
  49. Dim Mak: Affliction (Resisted and Overcome by Fortitude;
  50. Fatigued and Impaired, Disabled and Exhausted,
  51. Incapacitated), Extra Condition, Progressive, Reversible
  52. •1 point + 4 points per rank.
  53. Ear Boxing
  54. A double-strike to a target’s vulnerable ears provides a
  55. distraction. This power is an effective power stunt for
  56. Strength Damage for a martial artist faced with an incredibly
  57. tough or otherwise invulnerable target.
  58. Ear Boxing: Affliction (Resisted and Overcome by Will; Dazed
  59. and Impaired, Disabled and Stunned), Extra Condition,
  60. Limited Degree • 1 point per rank.
  61. Ghost Fighting
  62. You know esoteric techniques to focus your inner energies
  63. to strike ghosts and other incorporeal supernatural
  64. beings, where material attacks normally would not.
  65. Ghost Fighting: Strength Damage Affects Insubstantial
  66. • 1 point (half Damage rank) or 2 points (full Damage rank).
  67. Kiai Shout
  68. You have learned the art of kiai, a fierce battle shout, combined
  69. with breath control and harnessing your personal
  70. energy to produce a variety of effects. The basic kiai shout
  71. is intended to rattle and unnerve your opponents, leaving
  72. them vulnerable when you attack.
  73. Kiai Shout: Cone Area Affliction (Resisted and Overcome by
  74. Will; Dazed and Vulnerable, Stunned and Defenseless), Extra
  75. Condition, Hearing-Dependent, Limited Degree • 1 point
  76. per rank.
  77. More exotic kiai powers involve effects more akin to those
  78. found in the Sonic Powers profile, including producing
  79. damaging sonic blasts with just your voice.
  80. Natural Fighter
  81. While some gain their fighting talents from years of study and
  82. training, others are naturally gifted, or supernaturally gifted,
  83. gaining some advantages from esoteric arts, the blessings of
  84. higher (or lower) powers, mystical insights, and so forth.
  85. Natural Fighter: Enhanced Advantage • 1 point per rank.
