Just watched bits of a documentary on space. How big and endless it is. Millions of stars in every galaxy, thousands of galaxies. There must be countless planets out there which can sustain life...

And this brings me to asking myself a question once again; why? Why us? Why are we alive? Why did we develop into sentinent beings? Just look at the world; we've got stuff made of plastic, processed food, we control electrisity. It's what makes us different from the rest of the animals..
           We advance.

Our history; the entire recorded human history. Every house we've built, every discovery we've made, all the places we have explored; everything. All that we've ever done and been. The discovery of America, the Black Death, Gutenberg's first book, WWII, the "domestication" of the atom's power, the television, the landing on the moon, cell phones... Everything.

If there are other sentient beings out there; of the countless planets where life can be, imagine our entire history; multiplied by every civilization out there. Our purpose... To explore the universe? To vintage to the stars as the sky calls to us?

What we know... We know we're here but do we know we're alone?
