One of the newest trends are gated communities. They are  popular and increasingly inhabited.
In my opinion, gated communities have advantages and disadvantages.

On the on hand people fell safe there. They don't bother locking their doors and don't need burglar alarms.
But many people believe that a gated community is a bit like a prison.
All fenced with a wall and security cameras.

Another benifit is that some of the houses are huge. They are attractive and well looked after.
They offer convenience and luxuxary. On the other hand, they are very expensive. And only a few can afford it.
