Please follow the template and post in #join-form to confirm you have read our rules and etiquette section, as well as to assign your roles, pronouns, and username color. Until you do this you will be unable to view the chat and voice channels.

We will occasionally post announcements, please check these in order to be aware of any changes to the server.

**Serverwide Rules**

__Basic Rules__
- Do not spam or flood.
- Do not advertise without permission from a staff member.
- Do not abuse text formatting or emotes. Formatting like **bold** is fine in small amounts when necessary, but disrupts the chat when used excessively.
- Do not leak serious conversations from this server to users outside of it, we want this to be a safe space where people feel comfortable talking about topics that are personal and sensitive to them, as well as a space where people are able to freely express themselves.
- Have fun! However generic and cliche that might be, it is encouraged to have a good time!

__Chat Related Rules__
- No NSFW material. There are minors here.
- Do not joke about serious/sensitive issues (suicide, self-harm, sexual assault, etc.).
- Keep shitposting to a minimum. And if you really must shitpost, make it actually funny.
- Do not excessively tag people. Tag only if you need someone’s attention for something.
- Staff reserve the right to deem conversations and/or conversation topics as inappropriate or unsuitable for a channel or the server. If you wish to continue with such a conversation or topic, please move it to the appropriate channel or private messages.

__Moderation Related Rules__
- Do not minimod. If you believe a user is troublesome, private message a staff member and they will assess the situation.
- Note that all rules are interpreted and enforced at staff discretion.
- Do not re-open discussions on topics a staff member has deemed inappropriate.
- Do not discuss staff decisions in public channels. If you have questions or concerns regarding a staff decision, feel free to reach out to a staff member privately.
- If you believe you were wrongly punished, private message a staff member with your concerns.

Etiquette Section

Respect everyone for who they are and what they do. Don't judge, don't make public accusations, don't attack others just because they have differing views. This is a diverse server full of many different people, and everyone should feel safe and welcome here.

If you're not sure what someone identifies as, you can click their name and view their profile. It should go without saying that we expect all users to respect each other's pronouns and identities.

Don't insult other users, name-calling and slurs will not be tolerated.

If someone is wrong about something, teach them what is right and explain *why* they are wrong. Don't immediately treat someone like they're a bad person just because they have an incorrect or misguided view of something. Everyone has wrong and misguided views at times, and the best way to help one another is to explain the other side.

We expect the best from everyone, we're all friends here n_n
