  1. Contact between party leadership and party members is tantamount to success. Said contact could amount to just a poll, or an occasional speech that summarizes what is going on. Last state election, I made a small speech in the announcements, back when we could meme there without getting yelled at. I want to make that a tradition, because it is during times of intense anticipation that people demand consolation and closure the most. The intention of this speech is to both evoke calm feelings and fire all of you up to accept the results and cheer for them, even if they may not be perfect. I haven’t seen the election results because JB isn’t the type to leak, so don’t get paranoid when you see this speech in the announcements.

  3. I would like to start this speech off by thanking everyone who has assisted the DNC and the party at large over the past few months. To chapo, without you, we would have little to look forward to going into this election. You have put up with my shit for a very long time, more than anyone should have. Before you joined those months ago, we were a listing ship in dear need of a course correction. You have set an example of how to manage a party. To Powerben, you were calm and collected during negotiations, and you will always be the speaker of the house in the heart of this party. To PDY, you have shot down many of my terrible and rash proposals, and I am more seasoned and thoughtful because of it. To MaTh, you have provided us with an overarching goal, one that motivates all of us: to get you elected. You are an overall pleasant guy and I hope some good luck comes your way in both this election and real life. To uncooked, you have always been very active, and you are one of the foremost progressive and green voices in this party. To azan, you have done more than I have in the model world than I have in the last year. You have been immensely helpful to our advertising and recruiting efforts, while also putting up with intense and mostly unwarranted criticism by both our allies and adversaries. I would like to thank curiositySMBC and oath2order for BTFO’ing ninjja, and making the sim’s justice system a more active place. I would like to thank 6footharvey and ExplosiveHorse for assisting with getting out ads and pming subs. All of you are on your way to becoming the future leadership of this party. My final shoutout goes to sloth, who isn’t here, but I will still do it anyways, because you know I had to do it to em (haha yes). This server is a cold, dark, and empty place without your presence. You may not be the face of the democratic party, but you are without a doubt the heart of it.

  5. Our intentions going into this election is not simply to win seats, but rather to capitalize on the gains we made in the state elections, turning our strongest states into strongholds. Before we came to our current arrangement with the liberals(booo), we considered every other possibility. We perused over every proposal, we debated every deal, and we argued for and against every arrangement for hours and hours. The result of our work is a deal that gives us a chance of picking up three senate seats, and makes us certain to regain our stature in the house. As further insurance, the socialists are giving us their second preference votes, and we are planning on working with the liberals and the socialists to come to an arrangement in the house and the senate. While it is true that the liberals have been unenthusiastic about many of our candidates, we have spoken to them with our concerns about this, and they have communicated to us that they are putting the terms of the deal and instructions to support our candidates in their mass PM.
