background: Xiao Mei was born into a middle class family in China after her family moved there after the birth of her first brother in Korea. She mostly spoke Chinese since she lived there for most her life. Her parents were both different nationalities, so she spent half her life in one place, and the other in the second place. She lived in China until she was 11. During her school life, she studied very well and lots of the student envied her for being so smart, her perfect looks and being the sibling to a good looking boy. She was nominated president every year for her class. She wasn't the most social person though, only having a small group of friends consisting about 3-4 people. Even at such a young age, she got many companies calling her in to audition for their entertainments for lots of reasons, since she was a very talented girl, but she gently rejected their offers. Soon after her 11th birthday, she moved to Korea since her mother was from there. She had a similar life in Korea as she did in China. Her mother worked daily in a boutique where she would help her most of the times, and her brother was out most of the times with a busy schedule cause of college. Meanwhile, her father was in a small restaurant serving people, she worked part time there to help her father with the business. She always had a passion for singing and dancing but never told anyone. When she turned the appropriate age, she finally auditioned for an entertainment where she got accepted to join a girl group called GCT.

personality: mei is a mature girl, who takes a lot after her mother. she's very obedient and will always listen to her elders or anyone around her no matter what. unless it's something that causes a lot of harm. she's very sensible and dedicated to every single piece of her work. she doesn't stop doing what she wants, until she actually gets it. xiao mei is a smart girl who can answer a question within seconds, but that requires time to think. however, she can be quite sensitive about things, and shows a quick reaction to most things. she also has a fun side though, where she can be all giggly, but that's not really a lot. she's usually quiet, or when she's in a conversation, she just listens and doesn't really do the talking. she's also a bit sporty and athletic, so whatever competition she's in, she doesn't let anyone or anything get in the way. and that's causes her to turn into her competitive side. mei's also slightly a challenging girl who is up to anything, but she still remains quiet and doesn't make a fuss about anything. she always put her younger dongsaengs first when it comes to health and safety, but she's not the most caring person as she doesn't show that side often. when things come to love and friendship, she's very possessive about it and never lets it slip away from her. she stands up for people's rights, and when they're in trouble. but that doesn't mean she's clingy.

how did you become a trainee?: mei had always had in interest in singing & dancing, and lots of different companies would call her from the streets. when she turned 16 she got a call, and decided to stop rejecting then. so she finally auditioned for an entertainment where she got accepted.
