  1. Rule Zero (CONCERNING NEW MEMBERS): If someone new shows up, please be patient and temporarily drop whatever the subject to give them a hand. New players are our lifeblood, alienating them for the wrong reasons only creates problems for the perception and future of the community, so please be on extra good behavior around new people.
  2.
  3. Rule One (Concerning Channel Discourse): Don't monopolize the channel, especially with personal problems or conversations that you wouldn't have in polite internet company. Joking with each other is fine. As a general rule, if a couple people talking drown out absolutely everyone else, then it needs to stop. Mods have final say in this and any other conflicts concerning interpretations of the rules.
  4.
  5. Rule Two (Concerning Exceptions to Channel Discourse): Games can be as terrible as you want, as long as the terrible parts are out of mainchat. Discussing non-explicit parts of games is a partial exception to Rule One, in that if talk about one game or another dominates conversation, it's fine because it gets new people excited about playing. Only a PARTIAL exception, though.
  6.
  7. Rule Three (Concerning Common Decency): No trolling. Again, joking is fine, but as soon as you try to intentionally make someone mad shit has to go.
  8.
  9. Rule Four (Concerning the Enforcement of Violations): If you're worried or want something to stop, do one of two things. Either politely and seriously ask people if they can stop, or alert a mod to the problem. if one option fails, try the other. Don't make a big stink about things, don't argue, but if there's a problem it's within your rights to bring it up, and if anything's questionable and not entirely against the rules, this is where you start if it bothers you.

  11. Warnings:
  12.
  13. -First major offense on any one person's part is a mute and singling out. I'm talking about stuff that is notably stemming for one or two guys, if the chat is being derp and it's generally everyone's fault, nobody gets warned when it's muted.
  14.
  15. -Second, even larger offense is a personal, honest talk with one or more mods. We'll lay out pretty clearly what the issue is and what you should do to stop it.
  16.
  17. -If things continue from there, you get banned for a day. If things continue after the ban, then a week. If even that won't stop your personal crusade to shit up the room, then it's permanent.
