  1. Name: Ricochet
  2. Race: Pegasus

  4. Backstory: Ricochet was born in an upper middle class plantation family. His father ran the plantation while his mother was an educator. His upbringing allowed him to receive an enviable education, but it wasn't long after finishing all of his schooling before he was conscripted for a year. Stationed on the frontier and trained as an armorer, the pegasus primarily dealt with issues of armament. By far the most troublesome aspect was the frequent raids on arms shipments that he was in charge of. As it became apparent that revolutionaries were behind the raids rather than standard bandits as they were told by their superiors, Ricochet witnessed several brutal summary executions of several revolutionaries, leading him to question what they were doing here. Towards the end of his conscription, he discovered that his older brother was involved in the raids on an arms shipment. Neither were aware of the other brother's involvement in the situation up until that point. The two brothers confronted each other on a running train, one serving the rebellion and the other serving the crown. It was at that moment that Ricochet had to make a choice: family or country; liberty or servitude. The conscript could not bring himself to betray his only brother. With what Ricochet had witnessed during his conscription, his brother, Chaîne Cassée, didn't have to try very hard to convince him to let him go. The brothers devised a cunning plan to allow the rebels to take the arms shipment without casting Ricochet into suspicion. Being so close to the end of his conscription, his superiors simply chastised him for his lack of success in stopping the raid and set him loose.

After he was discharged, Ricochet used the knowledge and connections gained from his time serving the crown to develop an arms dealing business, at first focusing on legitimate pursuits until he could begin to help the revolutionaries. Unfortunately, one day he was informed that his brother was captured and executed, not far from where the two brothers had their showdown of words. The loss of Chaîne Cassée deeply affected Ricochet and served to radicalize him even further. Now determined to overthrow the government that brutally murdered his only sibling, Ricochet took up the mantle of his revolutionary brother and vowed to help the rebels in both the supply of arms and taking the fight directly to the crown. His primary activities involve smuggling arms for the Revolutionaries, making him one of the storied Pimpernel smugglers on the side of those who wish to overthrow the King. Since committing himself to the Revolution, Ricochet has made a dizzying amount of smuggling runs, at time narrowly evading capture or discovery by his old bosses in the military. With a gun on his hip and the wiles to make it happen, Ricochet was ready to bring about the Second Republic and the liberties for which it stood, just as his brother did before him.
