  1. The moment they entered the confines of Resurgence and Pleure's Academy, the girl began to rummage within her satchel to lay down on the desk line after line after line of papers. Papers that she began to slowly attach to the nearby boards and walls to reveal that they were schematics regarding information on the human anatomy no less!
  2.
  3. Information detailing the skeletal muscle system, cardiovascular system, brain waves, spine... that sort of information. They were immediately followed by drawn up papers of leylines and a number of keynotes on how a magi's typical anatomy follows, functions and works up until a certain point, which was a curious detail to be sure.
  4.
  5. "I've brought you here today to discuss a project I've had brewing for some time since Alastor first allowed me to become a Scientific Military Officer. The project back then had no name past a base idea, but now I am well prepared to unveil it after careful consideration, planning and preparation."
  6.
  7. Another paper is put up on the board, ripe with arrows and lines betwixt two bodies as they exchange interchangeably with one another and a great number of details and numbers lie there in. At the top of it, the title is written as 'Project Arteria Cranium'. What does that even mean?
  8.
  9. "This is Project Arteria Cranium. It's still in theoretic base and no more, for I am no Necromancer just yet... but I can't let our good men's skills go to waste. I'll be brief and simple with this project to spare you any details until you all show some interest."
  10.
  11. "The premise of this project is the theft and swapping of a body's soul from one vessel to the next. The literal ideology of immortality, body snatching and body swapping for purposes meant to extend Dawn's influence, reach and understanding of Necromancy. To this end, I need Experienced Necromancers and Scientists that understand the inner workings of the Soul."
  12.
  13. "Any questions so far?"
  14.
  15. Of course, the last bit was stated with her turning around to face the group she had gathered into this small room.
  16. (Loretta)
  17.
  18. Leaning against the table, Aldrah snapped his fingers, one of his undeads brought him some coffee, where he calmly began to drink as he looked and listened to what Loretta had to speak and show.
  19.
  20. After the little undead asked the question, he just said, "For now none.. Continue." And then he continued to drink his coffee
  21. (Aldrah)
  22.
  23. Zexelis tilted his head a bit as he was under the impression he might have been pre-briefed about this project a bit. A bit in surprise, he analyzed the diagrams that were soon revealed to him. It was clear he was rather interested from the very start.
  24.
  25. It seemed Loretta was attempting to come up with a way to transfer one's soul from body to body. Zexelis sat rather quietly, yet fully attentive as the project's name and its purpose were fully revealed. Zexelis seemed to sit contemplating for a moment when it was asked if there was questions.
  26.
  27. "Transference of the soul between host bodies, interesting, continue." Zexelis agreed with Aldrah and nodded.
  28. (Zexelis)
  29.
  30. Salvas Voss says, "I feel like this is chos expertise.."
  31. Salvas Voss says, "..hm.."
  32. Salvas Voss says, "Continue."
  33.
  34. No questions? Good. The girl turned around and just as eagerly produced... yet another blueprint. One she non-chalantly heaped unto the side of the body transference schematic. A lot of theory and planning had clearly gone into this project, as evidenced by the amount of papers and preparation that was in here. She was no Necromancer... but she was undead. The workings of a soul and leylines were well within her field of expertise.
  35.
  36. "I'd rather not piggyback off of Lady Cho's work until I have a fully fledged foundation to work this premise on. Following the Project of Arteria Cranium..."
  37.
  38. "... is the Arteria Carpals."
  39.
  40. The other schematic was revealed. A schematic of a strange and heavy looking suit of armor drafted up from other projects made earlier. Likely the same armor project she was working on, only this one was brand new parchment with a number of key details and elements written up.
  41.
  42. "Bodies are typically necessary in the makings of a successful Necromancy attempt, but I do not believe this to necessarily be the case. I believe we can eschew the prospect of a body altogether for a simpler, cleaner and more streamlined 'body' for a soul to inhabit. A Magitech Vessel if you will."
  43.
  44. The girl turns around to present this paper, that just like the first, also held the project name at the very top of it. Project Arteria Carpals she said.
  45.
  46. "In all my years of unlife, I have shown unliving proof that the body is the vessel that tethers the soul together via Leylines, but what if it need not be so any longer? What if the leylines were artifially crafted to serve as the vessel, the tethering point of the soul if you will? This project follows closely on the studies and premises of the Soul to both change bodies and to create new bodies, not necessarily made of flesh. With all the Prosthetic Kits made and all the constant warfare, suitable hosts for great magi and soldier alike become scarce."
  47.
  48. "I seek a solution to that. To that end... I seek Necromancers interested in thoroughly studying, grasping and understanding the inner workings of the soul. This is also why I invited Ser Salvas to this small exposition. I've also explained this as bare bones as I can without going into Soul Theory or Mana Circuitry 101. Anyone interested?"
  49. (Loretta)
  50.
  51. Salvas Voss says, "Hmm...."
  52.
  53. Salvas places his hands on the table, he squinted at the undead for a momment.
  54. (Salvas Voss)
  55.
  56. Salvas Voss says, "Alright- I will help but only to further get a grasp at this.. Magitech.. you speak of- Things like this I enjoy because it's a promise of progression."
  57.
  58. Salvas Voss says, "And progression breeds sucess."
  59.
  60. Loretta says, "As a prominent expert in the field of Valmese Magitechnologies, I assure you that such things are possible."
  61.
  62. Loretta says, "Historically speaking, an Ookami by the name of Ana Issek bred hundreds of War Machina via mixture of technological advance and smithing."
  63.
  64. Loretta says, "Likewise... further back lies the history of the Genocide Machines."
  65.
  66. Loretta says, "Giant Mechanical Constructs armed with magical prowess created by the cousins of the Agarthan Demons."
  67.
  68. Loretta asks, "If such creations could operate under such specified premises of magic, control and guidance... who's to say we cannot replicate such means?"
  69.
  70. Setting the coffee cup aside, Aldrah stood up and walked over to Loretta's desk. This whole project was very interesting, Aldrah had thought in the past to find other ways to bring people back to 'life', through artificial bodies, and there was a project that he would support with all he could.
  71.
  72. "I'll help as much as I can." Aldrah nodded to Loretta.
  73. (Aldrah)
  74.
  75. Loretta says, "Excellent."
  76.
  77. Loretta says, "Aldrah. As my Second in Command, you will have full authority to request supplies and equipment from me and the Legion at will."
  78.
  79. Loretta says, "Likewise, corpses attained from the war or captured Huangzhoans are yours to experiment as you see fit, so long as they have not been claimed."
  80.
  81. Loretta says, "The reason I also bring Exelis here... is that Magitech and Rune Wrights are intrinsically linked."
  82.
  83. Salvas Voss says, "I'll bring ym wife.."
  84.
  85. Loretta says, "So he will become a heavenly blessing for us in disguise as we test circuitry, ley lines and all sorts of magitechnological constructs long before we attempt to shunt a body in."
  86.
  87. Loretta says, "Ah... yes. I was informed of Shizuko's expertise."
  88.
  89. Loretta says, "I am uncertain if she'd be interested in joining the Imperial Research Division, but if she does..."
  90.
  91. Loretta says, "I could always have her working on projects with ease."
  92.
  93. --
  94.
  95. Loretta says, "For now, Aldrah. Expect in coming days a healthy list of Orders. You'll be cleared for supplies that I can try to purchase and acquire."
  96.
  97. Loretta says, "You tasks will remain the understanding of the soul and followed by experimentation with Leylines."
  98.
  99. Loretta says, "Both natural and artificial."
  100.
  101. Loretta says, "I would like have Ser Salvas aid you in this endeavor by studying souls alongside you."
  102.
  103. Aldrah yawns, "Alright."
  104. (Aldrah)
  105.
  106. ( After that, it was just other ic issues in white text, I do not want to fill my logs with white text..)
