  2. Hey Matso, Remi and McGlaspie
  3.
  4. I am writing you guys this email because I am worried about the ongoing server issues which came with build279.
  5. They are still there and I think you might have forgotten to look deeper into the this issue because you are busy with other tasks like improving the player retention.
  6.
  7. Fact is that all server wildly producing interpolation warns and fails (good scenarios for example when a round ends and both teams will be sent to ready room).
  8. The hitreg improvements from b279 are minimal and in my opinion not worth the extra load.
  9. Many popular community server are now performing on the edge of the limit (e.g Ibisgaming or Diamondgamers). While Ibisgaming could hold a 30tickrate with ~1500 entities, it now starts to struggle with about 1200.
  10. Same for my servers. While I could handle 2500 entities with a tick- and moverate of 25, I can now barely handle 2000 entities with a 21 tick and moverate.
  11. The best thing was, that you revamped the server performance rating system which now punish servers under load even more, although they can't perform as they used to.
  12.
  13. I am concerned. You do so much work that I really appreciate (for example since b282 my servers have not crashed a single time) but I see it coming that you keep adding stuff to ns2 while servers can't perform as they should or you just no longer look into the server performance issue till an update comes out that blasts away all servers.
  14.
  15. Comparing servers and their performance together, it might be less of a problem because 50-60% of the servers get a score of 10 or more.
  16. But if you check which servers are visited frequently and full all the time, then you see that those servers have a score from -1 to like 6.
  17.
  18. I have an idea how I can help you. If you want, I can upload all my .plogs to an FTP and make an archive (I figured out that mats like to compare .plogs from different builds). You can download the .plogs and check for any issues.
  19.
  20. Here some .plogs from b287 / b288: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/19208003/various_plogs_b287_b288.zip

  29. I asked other server operators to use it too so you have a variation of different plogs
