- --- = note from me
- You laid your hand on top of your dragon friend, Drago. Drago's head was on your
- shoulder and his wing covered your body. You both looked off into the starry
- sky. You told him, "You know, I'm so glad I met you. You've helped me through
- some tough times. You're the best dragon a guy could ask for." Drago looked
- at you, blushed, and said, "You really mean it, John?" You looked at him and
- said, "Yes. I love you, Drago."
- Drago looked back at you and said, "I love you too, John". And then he flew away
- with you.
- The sun had set when you left the village
- > I held hands with Drago when we returned to the ground.
- When you got home, you hugged Drago as hard as you could and said, "Thank you,
- Drago! Thank you!" Then you kissed him on the cheek and ran out of the house
- > I convinced Drago to come with me to his hideout far away. I wanted to have aprivate talk with him.

- The next day, you were back in the woods, looking for a way to get to the hideout.
- It was getting dark so you decided to take a break and rest a bit.
- As you lay there, you thought about how much you had changed since that night
- > ...The night I met Drago. It was so surreal. It was almost like you two had some sort of chemistry when you met.
- Suddenly, you felt something cold touch your shoulder. You turned around and
- saw Drago standing before you. His eyes were bloodshot and he seemed very tired.
- He asked, "Are you okay?"
- You shook your head. "No".
- Drago sighed
- > I asked Drago why he felt so tired.
- Drago told you, "I've been having trouble sleeping lately".
- You didn't know what to say. "What do you mean?"
- Drago explained,
- > I asked him, "Wanna sleep on my lap? I don't mind it."
- Drago smiled and agreed.
- > I let him lay down on my lap.
- It was weird but comfortable. You couldn't believe that this man who once tried
- to kill you was now sharing your bed. You just couldn't believe it.
- > I thought to myself, "Dragons are interesting."
- Afterwards, you spent the rest of the night talking to Drago. The next morning,
- you woke up early and went to the hideout. When you arrived, you found a few
- other people there. They all looked very surprised to see you
- > I asked the people why they were in Drago's hideout.
- They all replied, "We're here to help him".
- You noticed that one of them was missing. A young woman wearing a red dress and
- carrying a silver tray. She had long blond hair and wore a green dress with
- white flowers. Her name was Tanya
- > I felt stressed out so I got though everyone and went straight to my favorite dragon, Drago.
- You sat down on Drago's lap and started asking questions. After awhile, you realized
- that Drago wasn't answering any of your questions.
- > I asked, "Drago, is there something you need to tell me?"
- Drago didn't answer. Instead, he kept staring off into space.
- > I gave him a hug. I knew something was wrong. "You can tell me what's wrong, Drago. We're friends."
- Drago opened his mouth to speak, but then closed it again. He stared off into
- space and didn't even look at you.
- > I asked, "Are you okay?"
- Drago still didn't respond. He continued to stare off into space.
- > I told him, "If you want, I can give you some alone time."
- Drago suddenly stopped staring off into space and looked directly at you. He
- smiled and nodded.
- > I respected his wish and walked out of his hideout and went back home.
- That night, you slept in your own bed. You never really talked to anyone else
- about what happened after that night. You never told anyone because you figured
- no one would believe you anyway.
- > ...I was getting anxiety again. I looked up at my ceiling worried for Drago. What happened to him?
- A year passed...
- You woke up from your nap and heard a noise outside. You jumped up and grabbed
- your sword.
- > You saw Drago in front of you, bruised, cut, and bleeding out. He seemed motionless.
- You stood up and looked out the window. You saw Drago lying on the ground. Blood
- covered his face and neck. He was badly injured.
- > You felt tears well up in your eyes. "No... He can't be..."
- You ran inside and cried. Drago's body was in pieces. There was nothing left
- except a bloody mess.
- > I screamed as loud as I could, but then I woke up in a cold sweat. It was a nightmare.
- You sat up and checked your phone. It was 4:30 AM. You quickly checked Drago's
- Facebook page. Nothing.
- > I headed over to Drago's hideout and saw him lying on his back, seemingly bored. I alerted the dragon of my prescence
- You entered Drago's hideout and saw him lying on his back, apparently dead. He
- was dead. You called him over and asked him, "How did you die?"
- Drago looked at you and slowly spoke,
- YOU DIED. GAME OVER

- > I cried a river of tears upon seeing my loved one dead. Drago was my favorite dragon, and now he's gone. I pinched myself to see if it was a dream...

- Holy shit... This really got to me. The happy start slowly descending into the main character's mental breakdown over his friend dying an then the sudden silence was just...saddening in so many ways. It made me feel bad for John. He didn't care how or when Drago died. He was just broken over his best friend laying down lifeless. Nothing lasts forever, people. Cherish those who love you as well as those you love. You don't know when they'll go where Drago goes.
