Background: Dorah was born to an Australian mother and a Korean father in Cairns, Australia. She was the second born after her older sister Mina. For most of her childhood, she and her sister lived a happy life, they lived near the beach and every morning they could go out and surf or swim, during the day they went to school which was close by, and they had two puppies who loved to run around the forests that were close to their home. When her mother got pregnant with her younger sister Lisa, Dorah was only 3 years-old (her sister was 6) They were excited to be getting another playmate and engulfed their mother with love and helped her with everything, their father, however, wasn’t too happy about it he was having a hard time at his job and he was barely making enough money for the four of them with paying bills and he still had to pay off the hospital bill from when Dorah fell from a tree and hurt her left hand. It didn’t take long for the two parents to start arguing over small things; at breakfast, they would start fighting over how the toast was burnt, the fights got pretty bad and they would throw things around and break things- Mina who was older would take Dorah and the dogs out of the house and they’d go play near the beach or somewhere close in the forests. This went on for months and all of the stress and worry made their mother go into labor two months early. After Lisa was born the fight calmed down for a little and everything went back to how they were for 3 years (Dorah is 6 and Mina is 9 now, while Lisa is 3). One day Dorah and Mina woke up early and wanted to go down to the ocean for a swim, their parents weren’t awake yet, but Lisa was so they girls got her dressed and they all went down for a swim; this wasn’t uncommon for them since Mina used to do it with Dorah all the time and their parents were fine with it since they trusted the girls and they knew that the neighbors and locals had a watchful eye over them. This time was different though and when their parents woke up they freaked out because the girls were nowhere to be found, they started searching for them but they couldn’t find them anywhere- little did they know was the girls were at the beach only they were at a hidden spot that Dorah had found a year before and when their father came to the beach he walked right past the spot. Their parents freaked out even more and called the police saying they believed their children had been taken away from their home in the middle of the night, by this time it was almost lunchtime and the girls still hadn’t come back yet. The police put out a radar for the girls and headed out to find them, the girls knew nothing of this and were walking down the street with heading back home when a policeman spotted them, he picked them up and drove them back to their house. Their mother was so relieved to know that they were alright and when she asked where they were they told her by the beach, their father, however, was angry and he started yelling at Dorah and Mina scaring them because he’d never yelled at them before, as they girls stood frozen in fear on the couch their mother stepped in and told him to back off, and that they were just children and hadn’t done anything wrong. This made him even madder and he slapped their mother and she fell to the floor, at this moment the girls started screaming and crying scared of their father and he left the house fuming. That was the last time they saw him, he never came home that night or for the many nights after. Their mother couldn’t pay for the high rent for their home in Australia and she had to sell a lot of their things in order to pay for rent, eventually, she sold the two dogs; the girls were crying and begging her not to take the dogs away, but they needed the money and she sold them. She eventually gave up trying to do things on her own and she called a friend who lived in Korea and asked if she could live with her, her friend said of course and their mother moved out to Korea with Dorah, Mina, and Lisa, they hated the place and they each reacted to the move in a new way; Mina tried to be the perfect daughter because she was older and she understood what their mother was going through, Lisa was just quiet and tried to stay out of the way most of the time, meanwhile Dorah who was close to her father and loved Australia more than any of them had a hard time adjusting and often had fights with the kids at school- most of them being with boys.

Why your slot ran away: Dorah’s mother was done with her getting in trouble at school and told her is she got in trouble again she’d send her away to a boarding school. Dorah knew her mother wasn’t bluffing and she tried to act ‘good’ in school; this act broke when a boy who normally messed with her said something nasty about her and she happened to hear it and she turned around and punched him in the face, Joshua had to pull her off of him, luckily for her(not) the dean of the school happened to be walking down the hall and saw her and called her into his office, Dorah knew she was screwed when she was given a three day suspention, she freaked told Joshua about it since he was waiting for her by the gates at school. At that moment Joshua got a text from Renjun saying that everyone was running away, the two decided to pack some of their things and meet up with the rest of the group later. Dorah snuck into her house and packed a suitcase and her backpack and left her house with a smile on her face to meet Joshua.

Love Interest: The two met in 7th grade when they both got detention, she got it for talking back to a teacher and he was in for telling a student to ‘shut the hell up’. They two grew pretty close when she told him to screw off in English and he replied to her in English that he couldn’t because he was stuck there for another hour. After that, the two became close friends and became known as Ying Yang; they balance each other out perfactly, she’s the fun one that loves to live and makes sure he doesn’t overwork himself and that he has fun, while he keeps her in check -most of the time- and makes sure she does her homework and he’s the shoulder she can lean on when she needs it.
