01[19:30:56] <14+Starit> 12In our last episode our heroes, still stranded in the Island and trying to get to the source of evil controlling it,  managed to infiltrate the officer's building, kill -almost- everybody in there and get themselves some officer uniforms, with masks and everything.
01[19:31:08] <14+Starit> 12 Now they will stand a chance trying to move through the Caladrian army guarding the entrance to the volcano. As long as they keep it together, they still can't talk their language. Except for Whisper, at the moment, as she has a small translator provided by Walls. A bit defective.
01[19:31:26] <14+Starit> 12They gather outside the building, ready to go.
01[19:31:29] <14+Starit> 12--
06[19:33:02] * John__ straightens his suit, slightly annoyed.
[19:33:16] <John__> Is this all really necessary.
06[19:33:20] * +Sunre chuckles a but nervously, “Boy you sure did a number on those guys Whisper...”
01[19:33:29] <14+Starit> 12In their way out they found uniforms for John's two henchwomen too. How convenient.
[19:33:55] <John__> I liked your other outfit better, you know.
06[19:35:06] * +G_Jackal_Barker pulls his sleeves straight. "I still don't know why you guys are assaulting this base."
[19:35:19] <@Whisper> Of course. Dis is vhat I am goot at.
06[19:36:08] * +Sunre opens his mouth for a moment, then reconsiders his statement and just starts walking towards the entrance to the volcano
[19:36:22] <John__> You do not have to know it; you are more the type that follows orders than questioning them anyway, no?
06[19:36:43] * @Whisper lets one of the ladies wear the ladies uniform she got, completely spotless, and she keeps in her officer's uniform.
06[19:36:58] * John__ lights another fag and does his best looking Caladrian while he follows Sundre towards the base.
06[19:37:17] * DrWalls follows along, even more quiet than usual.
01[19:37:40] <14+Starit> 12Smoking it's kind of tricky with the masks on, but he somehow manages to do it.
[19:37:44] <@Whisper> I am ze type dat follows my own code, and instructions by people who pay me large amounts of money.
[19:38:19] <John__> I was more talking to the fisty-type, Miss Whisper.
[19:38:39] <@Whisper> My apologies, John.
06[19:39:26] * John__ miraculously smokes and grins under his mask.
[19:40:05] <+G_Jackal_Barker> You are correct sir.
[19:40:13] <+G_Jackal_Barker> But I am also the type to bust heads.
[19:41:48] <John__> A noble intent.
01[19:42:10] <14+Starit> 12They idly talk while they approach the north side of the volcano. So far, what they've seen of the base looked pretty deserted. A few soldiers and officers and some scatttered buildings. But this is completely different. All this side of the plain under the mountain is cramped with tents, soldiers patrolling, training, running around.
01[19:42:15] <14+Starit> 12There are a few tanks parked in the far north side, and some more of those soldiers with dinosaur rides. There's quite a lot of buildings around. But the easiest one to spot is one right under the volcano, leading to a cable railway that seems to be directed right on top of the crater. It's not working now.
[19:43:51] <John__> Now, gentleman, who might know how to drive a tank? I mean, if everything else fails.
06[19:44:11] * +G_Jackal_Barker looks around.
[19:44:26] <+G_Jackal_Barker> We don't already have enough just following you around?
[19:44:30] <John__> Under any circumstances, try to behave...Caladrian.
[19:44:59] <+G_Jackal_Barker> I don't even know what a Caladrian is.
[19:45:07] <John__> That is the spirit.
[19:45:18] <+Sunre> “Who puts the boot camp right at the entrance of their base? That seems preposterous.”
[19:45:39] <@Whisper> I probably can if Walls is unable.
[19:46:36] <John__> I would think it is the best if Miss Whisper does the talking for obvious reasons.
[19:47:26] <DrWalls> "I might be able to. I have a wide variety of driver's licenses."
[19:48:44] <John__> We should keep a low-profile though, as long as possible.
[19:49:33] <@Whisper> Just tell me vhen and vhere. I am not going off by myself for a while.

01[19:51:37] <14+Starit> 12It's pretty silly, but seems like the hit themselves in the left side of the chest with their clenched fist, then in the right. Then they do it 3 times more to finally raise their extended arm.
06[19:52:16] * John__ narrows his eyes trying to memorize the salutation, shrugs and sort of stays sort of close behind the assassin, hobbling.
[19:53:21] <@Whisper> "Zey just may be gorillas."
06[19:53:29] * John__ whispers. "Hum, where do you intend to go?"
[19:53:57] <@Whisper> To ze cable railway.
[19:54:35] <+Sunre> “Oh no, I’ve seen gorrilas. They collect in colleges usually and have strange markings on their homes.”
[19:55:44] <+G_Jackal_Barker> I too have seen gorillas.
01[19:55:44] <14+Starit> 12They head towards the railway. It's not easy, with all the companies and tents scattered around, but they slowly continue making their way towards their objective.

01[19:58:28] <14+Starit> 12Suddenly from the crowd emerges a young soldier with a folder of documents. He notices the group advancing and interecepts them, making nervously the salute. He starts talking pretty fast, giving some of the papers to Whisper and a pen.
06[19:59:32] * John__ clears his throat and glares at him.
01[19:59:41] <14+Starit> 12From the translator, she can understand something like <Singn... dispatch... general>
06[20:02:53] * @Whisper tries to explain she is in a hurry, and has no time for the papers, she needs to go, and there are a lot of dead people in the building they came from and it needs to be investigated in a hurry. Using simple terminology, and gestures. Talking slow and expressing urgency if she can.
01[20:05:05] <14+Starit> 12The soldier gives her a strange look, probably because he's getting like only half of the words, and because the translator makes Whisper's voice sound pretty metallic and distorted. He just stands there with a face of not knowing what she did just say, but not having the guts to tell that to an officer. The papers and the pen still hanging from his hands.
06[20:06:03] * @Whisper points towards the building, holds up a bunch of fingers, and then gestures death.
06[20:06:49] * John__ taps with his foot.
01[20:07:31] <14+Starit> 12The man blinks, and looks kinda scared now. He nervously nods and just scoots away from the group. He doesn't go in the direction Whisper pointed, but to a nearby building. In his hurry he leaves a bunch of papers and the pen.
06[20:07:58] * @Whisper takes it, but moves forward to where they were going.
06[20:09:04] * John__ hopes they wont encounter any other soldiers or are at least able to avoid them
01[20:09:40] <14+Starit> 12After some struggle through the soldiers, they manage to get to the cable railway building. It's just a boot with a door giving to an empty cable car. Only a soldier is guarding the entrance, seems to be pretty bored.
06[20:11:03] * DrWalls follows along, trying to look SERIOUS BUSINESS.
01[20:12:20] <14+Starit> 12The man notices Walls and the others approaching the building. He salutes and says some words in his language, from which Whisper can only make <...business...>. The guard isn't blocking their way, though.
06[20:12:59] * John__ does not stop walking then.
06[20:13:13] * @Whisper signs the papers about where they need or look like she needed to sign them with a purposely illegible looking signature, and hands it to the man, salutes, and lets everyone else get in before her.
06[20:14:09] * +Sunre makes it a point to keep quiet, knowing he’d give em away in an instant.
01[20:16:13] <14+Starit> 12The man seems rather confused by being given some papers, but he just nods and eyes the group as they make their way into the cable car. The thing seems to have a rather simple mechanism. Just a lever to speed up or slow down and a button to start. But the lever is locked into place with a heavy padlock.
06[20:16:44] * +Sunre hrms and tries the key he nabbed earlier
06[20:16:53] * +G_Jackal_Barker looks at sunre.
[20:16:57] <+G_Jackal_Barker> Try your bigger one.
06[20:17:04] * DrWalls boards the rail car, leaning against one of the sides nonchalantly.
06[20:17:11] * +Sunre squints at Barker
06[20:17:30] * John__ sort of leans against one of the sides.
01[20:17:42] <14+Starit> 12That key is too small to fit in there.
06[20:17:44] * @Whisper checks for something on her person to open the padlock, and gets in with the group.
[20:18:10] <+Sunre> “I really need to pick up lockpicking...”
06[20:19:11] * DrWalls waits a moment to see if anyone has the key. If not, he rifles through his pockets for something.
[20:19:14] <John__> "There are other ways to open lock, I am afraid they would not be very quiet though.", he whispers.
01[20:19:22] <14+Starit> 12The uniforms have some trivial items, like change, cigars, matches and the like. But not keys.
[20:20:37] <+G_Jackal_Barker> Well.
06[20:20:47] * DrWalls slips something out of his pocket and fiddles with it at the padlock for a moment.
01[20:22:47] <14+Starit> 12Walls fiddles for a moment and he manages to open the lock, which falls on the floor with a heavy noise. But the device the doctor just used to open it falls to pieces from his hand.
06[20:23:04] * DrWalls frowns, picks up the lock then pulls the lever.
06[20:23:22] * DrWalls presses the button first though >_>

01[20:26:31] <14+Starit> 12The car starts vibrating as the engine starts on, producing a lot of noise. Walls hits the lever and the thing slowly starts going up towards the crater, leaving behind a lot of soldiers looking up with curiousity.

[20:27:35] <DrWalls> "Let's just hope that the cable lift isn't supposed to be out of order today."
[20:27:37] <+Sunre> well not out of it, just ridiculous since we have no reason to
[20:27:54] <@Whisper> If it vas ze guard vould have stopped us.
01[20:28:22] <14+Starit> 12Between they crowd they manage to see for a second the soldier that stopped them earlier with the papers. He's with a few officers that stare at the cable car while it goes up away. The soldier is pointing at the group and seems pretty agitated.
[20:29:11] <John__> Okay, going back is definitely out of question.
[20:30:25] <DrWalls> "At least we didn't have to murder everyone on the way this time."
[20:30:56] <John__> We still have to go back, doctor.
[20:31:46] <@Whisper> We're probably going to have friends once we get up, but we got up.
01[20:32:09] <14+Starit> 12The people down there is now too small to make out any details, as they keep ascending. From this position they are starting to be able to see the rest of the island, and even a hint of the village near the sea.
[20:33:06] <@Whisper> In case of that, I think I will take precautions
06[20:33:20] * DrWalls watches the view for a while.
06[20:33:26] * @Whisper does her best to vanish in plain sight.
[20:33:28] <DrWalls> "Calm before the storm, huh?"
01[20:34:42] <14+Starit> 12Whisper somehow manages to camouflage herself and dissapear from sight.
06[20:34:59] * DrWalls checks if his stunner still has charge.
01[20:35:39] <14+Starit> 12It has, indeed, and even if it runs out of ammo, Whisper is carrying like four more of them.
01[20:36:55] <14+Starit> 12Suddenly the silence by a metallic, barking sound. It turns out it's a voice, coming from a speaker mounted next to the controls.
01[20:37:56] <14+Starit> 12It's hard to make out what's saying, Whisper can only understand <...Identify...>
[20:41:11] <John__> Hrum.
[20:42:33] <John__> Now this is..awkward. I do hope they do not just stop the vessel, harhar.
06[20:42:38] * +Sunre hrums and tries to deceit his way through this, making up a few names based on what he knows of these guys
01[20:45:10] <14+Starit> 12Sunre hasn't heard any Caladrian names so far! He tries to make up some names anyways. The voice returns and this time Whisper can understand <...What?....repeat...>
06[20:45:39] * John__ shrugs and looks at Whisper questioningly.
01[20:46:06] <14+Starit> 12The cable car suddenly stops, hundreds of meters over the ground.
06[20:46:12] * @Whisper isn't visible to be looked at.
06[20:46:29] * +Sunre scratches his head, realizing the futility of this with the poor translator.
[20:47:01] <John__> Miss Whisper if you happen to be around - you are still the only one being a bit fluent in the local language so just vanishing is very rude of you.
06[20:47:03] * +Sunre elbows Walls and whispers “Might want to start overriding the controls there doc... fast”
06[20:47:32] * DrWalls examines the controls and tries to figure out how they're stopping the car from moving.
06[20:48:21] * +G_Jackal_Barker looks up towards the top of the cable. "I swear if they cut that thing."
01[20:48:26] <14+Starit> 12The controls here are pretty simple, so they probably just stopped the engines at the other side of the cables.
[20:48:30] <John__> Ech, this unreliable germanfolk.
06[20:49:15] * @Whisper should know names. [Contacting, Resources, Deceit, I dunno]
01[20:49:48] <14+Starit> 12The voice come back, sounds more impatient now. Whisper is the only one that understands some of it again: <Wait... instructions... investigation>
06[20:49:53] * @Whisper also checks for identification in the uniforms, which is an easier bet since their names is on record.
01[20:51:06] <14+Starit> 12The uniforms have no identifications on them. And suddenly the car starts moving again. But from the other side, on top of the crater, they can see how another car is descending, in their direction. They will be next to each other in the middle of the way shortly.
[20:51:38] <+G_Jackal_Barker> So what, are we gonna take the other one?
06[20:51:47] * +Sunre laughs
[20:52:28] <DrWalls> "Hopefully no violence will be required."
[20:52:44] <+Sunre> nah I’m pretty sure they are gunna just try and kill us once they make us take off our masks
[20:53:09] <DrWalls> "I have a plan B, but I would much rather not use it if possible."
06[20:53:16] * John__ takes out his revolver and hides it behind his back.
[20:53:30] <DrWalls> "It won't look good on my record, you see."

01[20:58:49] <14+Starit> 12After a few minutes, the other car places itself next to the one the group is on, and both stop in place, hanging and balancing. In the other car appears to be occupied by four soldiers and an officer. The doors of both cars open, and the officer and two of the soldiers jump the small gap between the cars. The officer looks around, with suspicion in his eyes.
06[20:59:21] * John__ takes posture; at least tries to.
01[20:59:26] <14+Starit> 12<...what... so many... who are... names... the fuck... inmediatly!>
01[20:59:51] <14+Starit> 12That's what Whisper can make of it. The others understand nothing. And Whisper is nowhere to be seen
06[21:00:34] * +Sunre repeats the names he stated earlier, pointing at each of the visible members in turn then smiles at the officer.
06[21:00:41] * @Whisper discretely drops the translator on John's head.
06[21:02:03] * John__ looks a bit stupid now, nods slightly and lets it drop in one of his pouches on the uniform, turning away slightly
01[21:02:40] <14+Starit> 12The officer taps his foot and waits for an answer.
01[21:05:27] <14+Starit> 12The officer listens to Sunre and shakes his head, pointing at them and barking more questions <...the...rank and destination...speak properly...of you.>
06[21:09:56] * John__ takes a step forward, raising his voice. He tells them that they're ordered directly by their superiors to report about the attack of the foreigners. And due to the holdup they're going to be late. He gestures a lot, stomping with his foot.
01[21:12:31] <14+Starit> 12The officer seems to doubt under his mask. He doesn't seem so angry now, but he stills insists asking <...what...why...strange voice...accent?>
06[21:13:29] * John__ holds on to the side of the cabin, telling him that they got shitfaced last night and just got the order, making them hurry up here.
01[21:17:43] <14+Starit> 12The man tilts his head and seems to take a decision. <Hold on... talk... superiors... going down...>. He gestures at the soldiers in the two soldiers in the other vehicle. After they say something through the speaker, the doors close again and both vehicles start moving again. The officer, still in the group's car with two soldiers, moves the lever down, and they start descending back.
06[21:21:56] * +Sunre steps forward and starts yelling angrily at the officer, expressing the importance of our report and threatening some court martials for disobeying our commanders orders.
06[21:23:10] * John__ shrugs and does the same.
01[21:24:32] <14+Starit> 12The officer seems rather confused and startled at the two men yelling at him. He's even more confused because Sunre is yelling at him in english. But he stops the car in place saying <What... why... who are...?>
06[21:25:17] * John__ slaps him in the face and points at his face, demanding to be taken up.
01[21:29:06] <14+Starit> 12The man takes the slap and starts yelling so fast not even John can make a thing of what he says. He draws a gun and points with it at John. Meanwhile, one of the soldiers draws an acoustic shocker, the other one what looks like a police baton
[21:29:58] <DrWalls> "Everyone close your eyes RIGHT NOW."
06[21:30:06] * John__ turns his head away.
[21:30:16] <+G_Jackal_Barker> What?
06[21:30:19] * @Whisper cuts off the officer's gunhand from above and stabs the one with the shocker in the chest afterwards.
06[21:30:22] * +G_Jackal_Barker was looking out the window.
06[21:30:34] * +Sunre covers his eyes with his hands and whistles
01[21:33:39] <14+Starit> 12Whisper cuts the hand of the officer off, who starts yelling. Another voice responds from the speaker and suddenly, the car is going up again. The other car, with the remaining two soldiers is coming down towards them again. The doors open, even when the cars haven't met yet.
[21:34:14] <John__> This is really getting out of hand.
[21:34:24] <+G_Jackal_Barker> Finally, I was wondering how long it'd take for them to clue into the bullshit.
01[21:34:32] <14+Starit> 12Whisper tries to stab the man with the Shocker, but he masterfully dodges the hit, shooting her in response. Whisper has to stumble back, with a severe headache, everything spinning around her.
06[21:34:53] * +G_Jackal_Barker gets in a boxing position and throws a heavy hook at the shocker man.
06[21:35:10] * @Whisper has terrible migraines as an aspect, so she rambles off curse words.
06[21:35:33] * DrWalls zaps  the guy with the baton with his stunner.
06[21:36:25] * John__ lifts up the revolver and shoots one of the Caladrian soldiers into the face.
06[21:36:43] * +Sunre peeks from behind his hands “Oh, violence then. That’s fine then.” He draws his sword and attempts to squeeze into the fight somewhere
01[21:39:11] <14+Starit> 12The shocker man gets punched hard, but thanks to his reflexes, the fist hits him in the shoulder. Pretty painful, but he keeps standing.
01[21:41:22] <14+Starit> 12Walls tries to zap the baton guy, but the zapper suddenly blows up in his hand with a puff of black smoke that fills the car, making hard for anybody to see a damn thing.
01[21:42:50] <14+Starit> 12John shoots with excellent marksmanship, though, and the soldier with the baton falls to the ground with a smoking hole in his chest.
06[21:44:31] * DrWalls realizes that he's unarmed, and so keeps an eye on the other car.
01[21:45:15] <14+Starit> 12Sunre draws his sword and lunges into the battle, but in that moment the officer, who seems to be pretty crazed by the hand-chopping thing, charges against, shoving him against the opposite wall, making the whole car start bouncing back and forward, the people inside dangerously trying to recover balance
[21:45:54] <John__> Now this is just...uncalled for!
01[21:46:17] <14+Starit> 12The other car finally gets to their level, and both cars stop next to each other again. The soldiers inside look rather hesitant to act.
06[21:46:57] * +G_Jackal_Barker is used to being rocked around by punches, so he dives into the new car, delivering a quick one-two jab combo to one's face and ending it with an uppercut to the solar plexus.
06[21:47:04] * @Whisper is tearing up a little under her mask. SEVERE migraine keeping her from acting much beyond moving a little out of the way to keep from falling out the car or something.
06[21:47:41] * John__ still tries to regain balance, half-way leaning on the side of the cabin to aim properly, shooting.
[21:48:39] <DrWalls> "Whisper, what's wrong?"
[21:49:38] <+G_Jackal_Barker> She got shocked, that's what's wrong.
06[21:49:44] * +Sunre shoves the officer off and slices him up
[21:49:46] <@Whisper> Arschgeige, Schlampe, Hosenscheisser, Schwuchtl hurensohn, Drecksau hure!
06[21:49:48] * +G_Jackal_Barker says this gruntingly, post uppercut.
01[21:50:16] <14+Starit> 12John shoots again, but the car bouncing and his old age affect his aim. A gunshot is heard, and one of the windows of the car is shattered to pieces, but nobody is harmed.
[21:50:28] <John__> Darn!
06[21:50:30] * DrWalls tries to keep Whisper away from the door, given how unstable the car was at the moment and how she's stumbling about in disorientation.
01[21:51:43] <14+Starit> 12Walls grabs Whisper the moment she was starting to roll towards the open door in her confusion, and both of them try to stay away from it.

01[21:55:10] <14+Starit> 12Jackal jumps over the gap without problems and unleashes a quick succesion of hits over one of the soldiers that ends up with the evil foe knocked out on the floor.

06[21:56:19] * +G_Jackal_Barker turns to the rest, an evil snarl on his face, taunting and intimidating the rest of the soldiers. "Come on, try me, just try me."
01[21:57:59] <14+Starit> 12The other soldier doesn't react kindly to this, and without ceremonies, tries to shove the through the door. But with the impulse, he stumbles upon the opening itself, and both men (the soldier and Jackal) fall onto the opposite sides of the doorframe, dangerously swinging over the abyss
01[21:58:40] <14+Starit> 12THe officer gets sliced by Sunre's sword, and the body slides down the floor and falls through the open door without a noise. Maybe a "fwooosh"
01[21:59:40] <14+Starit> 12The remaining soldier in the first car, the one with the Acoustic Shocker aims at Sunre, but, with the confusion, he misses the shot, shooting at the ground.
06[22:01:22] * +Sunre calmly turns and directs his agile violence at the aggressor, barely noticing the rocking of the car.
06[22:01:33] * +G_Jackal_Barker hangs onto the ledge with one hand, cackling the entire time, and throws out a wild punch at the hanging soldier's extended elbow, hoping to break it.
06[22:01:55] * DrWalls hurries over to help pull Jackal up.
06[22:02:20] * John__ sort of sits in one corner of the cabin, trying to keep his aim better this way while he hopes to blow some holes into the aggressors
06[22:02:43] * @Whisper tries to calm herself and to release herself from the pain in her skull, as intense as it was.
01[22:04:42] <14+Starit> 12Whisper is slowly regaining her senses, but the piercing pain in her head is still there.
06[22:06:03] * DrWalls doesn't trust the rocking car enough to make the jump, remaining on this side instead. He notes Whisper is still out of action, so he starts going through his medical supplies to see if he has anything to help with the headache.
06[22:07:25] * @Whisper whimpers.
01[22:08:24] <14+Starit> 12Jackal throws his fist against the other man hanging from the door, but given the awkward of his position and the crazy rocking of the cab, the punch isn't as powerful as intended, and the other man is able to deflect it with his forearm. But because of this dangerous maneuver, both men are now holding onto the door with just one hand!
01[22:09:22] <14+Starit> 12Walls gives Whisper some pills for her headaches.
01[22:12:50] <14+Starit> 12Sunre lunges towards the man with the shocker. Slicing his arm. But the man defends himself partially blocking the sword and trying to tackle him.
01[22:14:06] <14+Starit> 12That's the moment when John shoots, and with a lot of luck, he hits the soldier attacking Sunre in the head. Sunre finds himself with a dead body on himself, the weight unbalancing him and making him stumble towards the open door.
06[22:14:53] * @Whisper takes the pills and grabs Sunre.

The doors of the car open again, and they find themselves on a rocky platform in front of a metal building that seems to descend into the crater itself. There's no welcoming party. Nobody is to be seen, or heard around.
