  1. 1) Does your character have siblings or family members in their age group? Which one are they closest with?
  2. > No siblings, but several cousins that are within 5 years her age. She doesn't actually have any family that's the exact age as her or within a 1-2 year range, so she feels a little isolated.
  3.
  4. 2) What is/was your character’s relationship with their mother like?
  5. > They get along well enough. Her mother's a funny woman, but very responsible. She cares about Didi and loves her more than anything, but occasionally say things that sets Didi on edge. She's the one that drilled Didi to have a good "catalog" of priorities and how to keep track of all the things she has to do, and the steps to get there.
  6.
  7. 3) What is/was your character’s relationship with their father like?
  8. > About the same as her mom. He has a great sense of humor and tries to relate to Didi, but also has very high expectations for her. She inherited her sense of humor from him, but also her moments of insensitivity.
  9.
  10. 4) Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know?
  11. > When she was in her last year of middle school, Didi crept down the stairs to get some water a little past her bedtime. She ran into her mom and dad talking to some extended family that came to visit; her parents were saying that they want to do right by her, that at the end of their lives, as long as they know their little girl is successful and happy, they'd be satisfied. This left a big impression on Didi and made her want to strive to make her parents proud, no matter what. She doesn't really talk about this because it's not exactly something you talk about to other people.
  12.
  13. 5) On an average day, what can be found in your character’s pockets?
  14. > Didi's always got her phone on her (never on silent), a notepad and a pencil. She has a lot of spare change on hand because she uses the vending machine a lot.
  15.
  16. 6) Does your character have recurring themes in their dreams?
  17. > In Didi's dreams, she tends to be lost and unsure of where she's going. Lots of empty highways and streets that lead off to who knows where.
  18.
  19. 7) Does your character have recurring themes in their nightmares?
  20. > She doesn't really think her dreams are nightmares; she hasn't been dreaming much at all since the end of freshman year, just because she's so tired. When she does, her worst nightmares often include asking people to do something important, and then they go off and never return.
  21.
  22. 8) Has your character ever fired a gun? If so, what was their first target?
  23. > Nah.
  24.
  25. 9) Is your character’s current socioeconomic status different than it was when they were growing up?
  26. > Didi's family is comfortable. They have enough food and their home is secure, but there's not enough money to be careless with frivolities and definitely not enough to go on vacations and such. They've had a bit of mobility since her childhood, but nothing that really pushes them further up into the upper tiers of middle class.
  27.
  28. 10) Does your character feel more comfortable with more clothing, or with less clothing?
  29. > BUNDLE UP BITCH. Didi likes to layer clothes. She tends to dress very warmly in the winter, but in the story (sophomore year), she doesn't wear as much as she used to because she sweats a lot running back and forth across campus, and heavy clothing slows her down.
  30.
  31. 11) In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been?
  32. > Nothing bad has ever really happened to Didi. She doesn't have much experience with trauma? Maybe something to do with roads. I don't know how to answer this! She's just a kid with anxiety doing things! I guess in that case she doesn't like confrontation? She cries easily when yelled at.
  33.
  34. 12) In what situation was your character the most calm they’ve ever been?
  35. > Didi's good with interviews and tends to keep a "higher ground" when asking people about things; she isn't easy to scare or shock in that state. She's also prone to getting in the Zone(tm) when she's writing something JUICY.
  36.
  37. 13) Is your character bothered by the sight of blood? If so, in what way?
  38. > If it's someone else's blood, Didi will react like a totally normal person would to seeing blood. In general though, she doesn't tend to be very bothered, even more so if it's her own blood. She was a rowdy kid and remains a rowdy-ish teenager, and she's used to getting into scrapes. Plus, being a werecreature probably means seeing a little more blood and danger than most humans.
  39.
  40. 14) Does your character remember names or faces easier?
  41. > Didi's really good with both! In general though, because she tends to learn names before learning faces, names tend to stick out a little more. Once she sees a face and hears a name, though, they're irrevocably paired and Didi doesn't forget either easily.
  42.
  43. 15) Is your character preoccupied with money or material possession? Why or why not?
  44. > No more than any other person. It's not her priority, but she does like having a lot of both.
  45.
  46. 16) Which does your character idealize most: happiness or success?
  47. > Success? Success. She's willing to sacrifice happiness for success because she believes in the end, success will bring happiness.
  48.
  49. 17) What was your character’s favorite toy as a child?
  50. > This shitty plastic McDonald's microphone that she used as a weapon and for its intended purpose in alternating intervals. She's always wanted to be a reporter! She also likes plushies.
  51.
  52. 18) Is your character more likely to admire wisdom, or ambition in others?
  53. > She's an ambitious person and can respect ambition in others, but ultimately she's really charmed by wisdom. Didi lives on the high life and charges forward before she thinks things through, so she admires people who can slow down and use their heads to think things through or provide insight that she hasn't considered. (It's why she admires MC and seitoukaichou)
  54.
  55. 19) What is your character’s biggest relationship flaw? Has this flaw destroyed relationships for them before?
  56. > She can be very insensitive. A side effect of her anxiety, and just the way she was raised, is that her thoughts tend to be a little egocentric (as most people tend to be), but she also tends to think too much of other people without actually consulting them. This leads her to seem like a bit of an airhead; she isn't the kind of person who instinctively gets other people. She views people through her own filter first and projects what she thinks and feels onto them, leading her to not drop things when she should or push a little too far when she should pull back. Unintentionally rude or cruel, in other words. This has made a few people wary or uncomfortable with her, but she's so helpful and friendly that she's ultimately hard to hate.
  57.
  58. 20) In what ways does your character compare themselves to others? Do they do this for the sake of self-validation, or self-criticism?
  59. > She compares herself CONSTANTLY to other people, in every way. In addition to having a large extended family with its fair share of success stories and her own driving need to be SOMEONE and make her parents proud, her anxiety makes her hold herself up to others and see herself in the worst possible light. She is usually self-critical with her comparisions, but occasionally she'll look @ people (Val) and just go: WOW I'm glad someone's more of a mess with me!
  60.
  61. 21) If something tragic or negative happens to your character, do they believe they may have caused or deserved it, or are they quick to blame others?
  62. > Didi tends to believe that most bad things are because of her, but only if she's a participant of that project. She's of the mind that she had to be involved for it to happen. If it's clearly an outside phenomena, she'll blame that and the people involved with it before herself. She hates when people think things are her fault when it's clearly not her fault, though. She also hates when people step in for her and make things bad, because she thinks that if she was the one to do That Thing, it would have turned out better. THANKS, I HATE IT.
  63.
  64. 22) What does your character like in other people?
  65. > Didi likes ambition and a tendency for hard work. She likes people who aim high but are down to earth, and who have relaxed dispositions. She likes people who can counteract her energy, and people who have good senses of humor. Entertaining people catch her eye, as does confidence. She likes people who are calm and competent.
  66.
  67. 23) What does your character dislike in other people?
  68. > She hates people who act hastily. Know-it-alls, arrogance, etc. She also hates people who take themselves too seriously and who insert themselves where they shouldn't. People who take things for granted also irritate her.
  69.
  70. 24) How quick is your character to trust someone else?
  71. > In general: fairly quickly. She's the type to latch onto people and act friendly with them. She tends to take people at face value unless she senses something otherwise; she doesn't tend to open up with her deepest darkest fears and such easily, though she doesn't hold back on that stuff if she's with a friends. The only thing she won't reveal is when she's having trouble with something, because she wants to be seen as someone capable and who can handle shit on her own. She hates asking for help!
  72.
  73. 25) How quick is your character to suspect someone else? Does this change if they are close with that person?
  74. > Not quickly at all. There isn't too much to suspect in a slice-of-life universe. Didi's smart enough to look at a situation and guess at what's happening behind it, but suspecting someone w/o cause is against her nature. If there's enough evidence, Didi will be suspicious about things, but she's not the type of person to be on the lookout for it, either. If she's close with that person, however, she'll demand an explanation as soon as she suspects and jump from there. She's someone who's very A to B, whose thinking is fairly linear in regards to problem solving.
  75.
  76. 26) How does your character behave around children?
  77. > Didi's really good with kids! She's a bit more childish herself, so she gets along well with them, though at times she'll remember that OH YEAH, I'M A COOL TEEN, I SHOULDN'T DO THIS, and pull back a bit. In general, she's great with them.
  78.
  79. 27) How does your character normally deal with confrontation?
  80. > BADLY. In general she's more on the passive side, especially entering sophomore year. Mostly she'll accept what's being said and apologize excessively, and if it's really bad or she's stressed out, she'll cry. If she deserves to be confronted she'll genuinely apologize and do her best to make up for whatever she did. Even if she does feel that a confrontation is unfair, she'll still stand there and take it unless it's very clear to her that something's wrong. If she's fighting with someone she really trusts, she'll blow up and blow up spectacularly.
  81.
  82. 28) How quick or slow is your character to resort to physical violence in a confrontation?
  83. > Very slowly! Didi doesn't get into many scraps as a teen because she's not in a playground situation anymore, and if she did get into a fight (unlikely; she's more the type to talk her way out of stuff), she'd run before she'd stand and fight.
  84.
  85. 29) What did your character dream of being or doing as a child? Did that dream come true?
  86. > Didi dreamed of being a meteorologist, or someone on TV; lots of roles mixed together, tbh ("a singing newscaster!"). That dream has since settled into whatever best suits her needs, though she's very fond of reporting. In her best and true ending she pursues journalism.
  87.
  88. 30) What does your character find repulsive or disgusting?
  89. > Not too much, in terms of material objects. She's not squeamish or easily grossed out; things like molding food or insects garner a curled lip and a "gross!" but she'll still touch it to clean it up or toss it out of the house. In terms of other characteristics, the fastest way to get on her bad side is to be a know-nothing-know-it-all. Maybe she dislikes squishy, wet things a little more than most gross stuff?
  90.
  91. 31) Describe a scenario in which your character feels most comfortable.
  92. > Didi's most comfortable when she's settled into the groove where she's just finished all her work and doesn't have any more for that day, and she's sitting at her desk in the journalism club room with all her stuff neatly compiled and daydreaming about what she'll have for dinner.
  93.
  94. 32) Describe a scenario in which your character feels most uncomfortable.
  95. > Any time she's in a situation that seems confrontational, but for what reason? She doesn't know. If she doesn't have all the info, she's immediately on edge. Didi hates disappointment more than she does anger, so any time someone pulls her aside to say they're worried or disappointed about/with her is a Really Bad Time.
  96.
  97. 33) In the face of criticism, is your character defensive, self-deprecating, or willing to improve?
  98. > All? It mostly depends on what she's being criticized for. If someone's confronting her because she was accidentally an asshole and didn't know, she'll desperately try and make it up to them. She's rarely ever defensive because in her eyes, if she's getting pulled aside, she must have done something wrong. In general though, she mostly just accepts what she's told and does her best to be better.
  99.
  100. 34) Is your character more likely to keep trying a solution/method that didn’t work the first time, or immediately move on to a different solution/method?
  101. > She would try something else! Didi's got a good handle on how to handle things, and with how busy she is, she doesn't have time to waste time rehashing something that won't work. She rarely ever does something brand new, though; everything in her repetoire is meant to be useful and helpful to her in different situations.
  102.
  103. 35) How does your character behave around people they like?
  104. > Didi's super friendly and enthusiastic! She also tends to tease and joke around. Her inhibitions are down and she doesn't tend to keep up that barely-professional vibe that she does when she's doing an interview or doing something for someone. When she's with someone she likes, she's not afraid to be... intimate(?) with them? Lots of inside jokes and elbow nudging. This occasionally comes back to bite her because more often than not, people aren't as close to her as she is to them, or she misjudges how close they are and ends up accidentally insulting them instead of making a Joke with them.
  105.
  106. 36) How does your character behave around people they dislike?
  107. > She's still smiling and such, but she's more brisk and brusque. Didi also clings to her professional behavior so she doesn't THROW HANDS, so she comes off as much more subdued and inhibited, even a little chilly.
  108.
  109. 37) Is your character more concerned with defending their honor, or protecting their status?
  110. > A mix. In general, her status, because that's super important to her and how people view her depends on her being relevant enough to matter and reliable enough to rely on. However, she hates being considered responsible for something she's not, good and bad; if her honor is challenged (ie. she's accused of cheating or something) she'll leap to defend it or clear up the misunderstanding. Didi's greatly offended if her honesty and integrity is called into question.
  111.
  112. 38) Is your character more likely to remove a problem/threat, or remove themselves from a problem/threat?
  113. > More likely to remove a problem/threat, just because Didi is often asked to deal WITH problems, and it's counterintuitive to run away from that. That applies to basically every problem she encounters, with the exception being the BIG one that her whole storyline revolves around (though that's mostly because she doesn't really see it as a problem, or is willing to acknowledge it's a problem).
  114.
  115. 39) Has your character ever been bitten by an animal? How were they affected (or unaffected)?
  116. > Probably plenty of times! Didi's a rowdy rowdy kid. However, she's not really affected by that; she's a born werepossum, so she's more or less used to animals and is very blase about what humans would consider dangerous. Can't really get turned when you're already a were, after all. The scar in on her cheek, in particular, might be from getting into a scrap with an animal. She likely doesn't get attacked or hurt by Actual Animals though; maybe domesticated pets? Any scrapes she gets into was probably just from running around and being rowdy with the neighborhood weres or her own family.
  117.
  118. 40) How does your character treat people in service jobs?
  119. > Well! The type to make brisk and friendly conversation while waiting for her items to be bagged. She's about 50/50 when tipping cashiers though, because of her frugality.
  120.
  121. 41) Does your character feel that they deserve to have what they want, whether it be material or abstract, or do they feel they must earn it first?
  122. > A mix. Didi believes that everything must be earned with hard work and a lot of sweat, but she also feels as though with the amount of work she's putting in, she's guarranteed to have something good come of it. She also feels as though she isn't working hard enough, though, so there's still quite a bit of "I GOTTA TRY HARDER TO SUCCEED" going on.
  123.
  124. 42) Has your character ever had a parental figure who was not related to them?
  125. > Not really? Her parents are enough for her. She has a lot of people she admires and looks up to, whose advice she respects and tries to follow, but no one who really Fills In that parental role.
  126.
  127. 43) Has your character ever had a dependent figure who was not related to them?
  128. > Nah! She probably has a few people who look up to her but never really say anything about it (so she doesn't know! She'd be SHOOQTD if she did, though), but she's always been more of a friendly figure than an older-sister figure, and her relationships tend to reflect that.
  129.
  130. 44) How easy or difficult is it for your character to say “I love you?” Can they say it without meaning it?
  131. > It's easy for her to say "I love you" to family members. Didi does like her family very much, and gets along well with them! She also says it very often to her friends, to the point of seeming overly friendly. It's difficult to say otherwise though, because to her, love seems like such a big thing at her age, and because she's never really had time for dating, it seems like an insurmountable sort of thing because it's just too big a word for her feelings to encompass. That, and it's just embarrassing. Not punk rock at all to try and say it and stammer.
  132.
  133. 45) What does your character believe will happen to them after they die? Does this belief scare them?
  134. > Didi doesn't really think about it. Dead is dead, and she's so young and fast and alive that the possibility of death doesn't really occur to her. She's not religious either, and so doesn't tend it muse about it. The few deaths in her family made her sad enough to be somber about them, but in her opinion, it's better to remember them alive than not, so ultimately, she doesn't think about death at all.
