  1. Hello Bronies. It feels kind of weird to call you that considering the situation but it works. I’m crossing my fingers, hoping that this all works and I can finally reach someone back home. To put it briefly I’m stuck in Equestria. I know this probably seems like farfetched, hard to swallow, or pathetic self insert rubbish. It would be silly to think any of you will really believe me. Rather I’m just trying to document my thoughts and on the off chance that the same thing happens to someone else they won’t be as lost as I was.

  3. I suppose I should cover the events that resulted in my current state. It was about a week before Christmas and I think it was the night after that lunar eclipse I didn’t get to see. It was my turn to take out the garbage that week so I bundled up and headed out into the cold. If the moon wasn’t so bright I probably wouldn’t have noticed it but on my return trip I spotted something strange. I don’t really know how to explain it. I didn’t exactly get a clear look at whatever it was before I entered. From what I remember it was as the space was missing there. Not empty but as if it just jumped a few feet.

  5. I don’t know at all what happened then, magic was probably involved but I’m no Unicorn and Twilight says she’s never heard of anything like it. From my perspective it was like stepping through a door way into another room, except in this case it was stepping between two dimensions. One second I was ankle deep in snow, the next being blinded by Equestria’s morning sun. From what I remember I was standing on a raised platform surrounded by five or six pillars deep in a forest. One had creeping purple ivy growing around it while others seemed worn and devoid of vegetation.

  7. There were a number of objects from our world strewn about. It was mostly junk, my guess is that it was from more reasonable people testing an unstable interdimensional portal rather than just stepping into it. I wish I could tell you more but the place made me uneasy. So again, ignoring common sense I wandered off into the Everfree Forest.

  9. What I lack in survival instinct I make up for in luck. I kept going for a short while until I came to a river. It was about at this point that I stopped and actually tried to assess what was going on. First it was way too hot for winter clothing. I peeled out of my jacket and opened my sweater. Second I noticed how everything looked different… At first I thought it was just my eyes adjusting to the change in light going from moonlight to daylight but that couldn’t explain what I was seeing. It’s kind of hard to explain after getting used to it but I’d say our world was somehow sharper looking but here things are smooth and crisp.

  11. Also I had no idea what time it was. When I took out the garbage it was 8:00 in the evening but here it seemed to be midmorning. Nothing made any sense. With my phone not working no clear path in sight I was at a loss for what to do. So I followed the only thing I had, the river. I made my way downstream keeping an eye out for any sort of road or trail. If there were any I didn’t see them, maybe it’s fortunate I didn’t though because eventually the forest gave way to an open valley where I could spot a town down below.

  13. For those of you keeping track at home I was an idiot most of the way through that. I’m lucky that I was not surprised and killed by a manticore. (I’m sure it would quickly shred my flesh and devour me. *sigh* I kind of miss videogames.) The forest is dangerous and getting lost is easy. I recommend if any of you find yourselves in a similar situation to get out as quickly as possible. If you can, listen for flowing water and head to the river. Hopefully it will be the same one I found and you can follow it downstream.

  15. Back to the story. It was about then I began to realize my pony predicament. The idyllic town, the surrounding farmland and orchards, a far off castle in the mountains; It all pointed to the same thing. For a while I just sat up there, at the edge of the forest. What does someone even do in that kind of situation? Things turned out okay but I was probably panicking at the time.
  16. It wasn’t as if I hadn’t fantasized about this kind of thing. I know for a fact a fair few of us have but nobody really ever expects it to happen. I remember sitting down in the grass trying to absorb what was happening. It’s surprising how unfocused your mind can be in a crisis. I don’t know how long I sat up there, trying to think of my next move.

  18. Incidentally the ponies actually approached me first. My first contact was with a pale yellow Pegasi named Sandy Skies. I don’t remember how the conversation went. I’m sure I poorly explained my situation. It’s difficult to express the situation in a manner that doesn’t make you sound crazy. ‘Hi! I stepped through an interdimensional portal and now I’m in a world that’s both unfamiliar and known. You’re a flying pony.’
  19. I must not have done too poorly though. Instead of fleeing in terror or shooing me back into the woods I was told to wait while they got someone. It wasn’t too long before she returned with two followers, the Ponyville Mayor and Twilight Sparkle. After introductions I again tried to explain myself. A lot of questions were asked: what I was doing here, what manner of creature was I, where I was from. Some of my answers must have seemed pretty crazy at the time but somehow I was still granted temporary asylum until Princess Celestia could be contacted.

  23. And that’s the story of how I came to be residing in Equestria. It’s not comprehensive of course. Somehow Pinkie Pie had found out and managed to devise a party at some point. The next day I got a tour of the town and even briefly met the Princess that evening. And that’s just the first two days. It has been nearly 3 pony months since I got here! This entry has gone on long enough without all that. I can’t even be sure that this message will get back to Earth.
  24.
  25. That reminds me. I would like to give a big ‘Thank You’ to Spike and Twilight. They’ve been instrumental in devising a way to send this. Without their abilities I wouldn’t have a hope of sending a message back home. I’d like to thank all the bronies that took time to read my log and I hope that if any are fortunate enough to end up in a similar situation your transition is a lot smoother than my own.

  27. Best Wishes,
