Summer is the
nation’s favourite time of year. Sleepovers, laughter, holidays, we call them '''''good time’s''''' but not always, they can change in an instant.
My name is '''Jonathon'''; my friends call
me Jon for short; I don’t mind it. I’ve been through some hard times in England
so my father thought it would be great to leave the troubles back in England
and head off to America, my mother on the other hand worried about jobs, money,
schooling and everything else she could find to worry about but we bit the bullet
and agreed to go to America. We found it was a bit cheaper to live and it was
hot most of the time, when  winter comes
round though it’s quite cold and snowy but it rarely rains, I had just moved
into my new school and I was a sixth grader or so they called it .I  was lucky enough to get friends quite quickly
they all took up the slots of being a perfect friend to me, '''William''' energetic and clever all at the
same time, and he’s popular, '''Ralph'''
physically lazy and a little bit nerdy, he excels in ICT, coding, programming
and business, '''Edward'''  super clever, really cool and  real nerdy but to me nerds are simply a cool
type of stereotypes, '''Zack ''' funny, jokey clever at the wrong times and is
quite hated but to me he is very amusing to watch and  last but not least '''James '''shy quiet and British . As I said its summer and so I wanted
to organize something with my mother and she said what about a day out in town
and then go to the campervans field and have a sleep there as some creepy
sleepover near the woods like who can be the bravest, my mother had quite an
idea so I decided to try and organise it with my friends so that next day I did
Zack thought it would be real cool but creepy at the same time Edward to
thought it would be cool also but there is nothing to fear and they all had
pretty much the same idea except for James who had said that his mother  warned him to never disturb the wood and give
them your presence , we all went silent the moment he said that as I was about
to say something  Zack burst out with
laughter and started rolling around on the floor ‘’you just made my day kid,
LoL’’ he exclaimed in a hoarse voice ,the rest of us however except from James
giggled. ‘’fine get yourselves killed I’m just warning you’’.

It was
Thursday and today was our day out Zack as usual getting loads of sweets,
crisps and energy drinks. I got myself some sensible stuff including very
little sweets and one large bottle of energy drink  and that’s it, we all got pretty much the
same thing and it was already 6:00 so we got
something to eat and our permission to go camping for the night by the
woods and we were getting everything set but so far things were getting pretty
strange already ,the guy we got permission from
to camp by the woods said stay safe and not too much venturing  or trouble but it won’t be from me mind and I
had seen a dark figure with glowing eyes but I just took him as a pranker ,you
know America’s crazy like that .camp was done and we were going to do some old
campfire traditions but we didn’t have a fire so first up some scary stories
and obviously Zack wanted to say one first so he started about a kid waking up
in a forest and getting lost and then getting killed by the all so popular
slender man which scared none of us and it was just supposed to be funny and
sarcastic but wasn’t.

A sudden loud rustle in the bush nearby our
tent made us all jump I got up saying ‘’nocturnal wildlife, cool ‘’.’’Wow wow
wow how do we know whether this isn’t a murderer or slender man or something
you know that guy said don’t venture in the woods ‘’ and he wouldn’t shut up so
we just let him speak as we walked towards the bush ,however James didn’t want
to come so we left him in the tent by himself letting him feel safe so we
forgot about him we got to the bush and Zack was still chatting  constantly and we were looking about for any
wildlife at all but it seemed to be totally silent and dead .

It had been
5 minutes and nothing had been seen, ‘’looks like there’s nothing buddy’’. will
exclaimed ‘’and looks like Zack’s has shut up finally’ ’well we better be
getting Back so let’s go’’ .as we both turned around  we only seen ralph by himself ‘’hey where’s
Zack ‘’will exclaimed ‘’oh god where the hell is he now ‘’.he’s probably just
gone back to the tent to get a pack of sweets or something ‘’. Suddenly a loud
sound of bark being scratched making us all turn around and there it was, wearing
black robes and a black hood but its face it didn’t have one until a split
second later 2 large glowing spirals formed in the middle f its face which was
the moment that made us all run my heart had sank into my chest and we all went
in different directions I went running out of the woods and hid in a bush my
hands were legitimately shaking as my head couldn’t think straight at all . sat
there for a terrifying 10 minutes shaking ,I heard 1 sound throughout the whole
thing and that was a very loud painful scream , I got up steadily  walking towards the forest again ,I stayed
low and quiet  . I was there and I saw
will up a tree that was beside me he was shaking and he was looking at
something on the ground beside me, he was sobbing I thought he was brave anyway
I took a step back but my heel touched something it seemed like it was big and
heavy but it weren’t a rock, I turned around to look at what my foot had hit
and my knees buckled as I said ‘’oh god’’…There was something big lumpy it
looked fleshy … it suddenly made itself clear to me my eyes started drifting
away  my head was banging I wanted to run
but I was fixed in that spot, I wanted to scream but I was breathless, I wanted
to cry but I couldn‘t   ,  suddenly my brain functioned again ,in  a shivery unclear voice I looked up to William
in the tree and said  “come down we need
to go it’s not safe we need to go know let’s get James and go” he shook his
head with his eyes bloodshot and fixed onto me “look  William com-‘’ suddenly my voice stopped I
took a step back and stumbled into the wet, hot and fresh puddle of blood
behind me but that didn’t stop me from looking at what I was looking at “ will
jump, behind you “ will looked back seeing the dark figure with its twisted
smile and glowing  spiral eyes he turned
back with a gasp jumping instantly but then I realised my mistake as this was a
residential area there was obviously going to be washing lines and stuff like
that and this was quite an open area as well for lots of sunlight to be escape
there and will stopped half way in the air as he jumped towards me ,he did a
360 returning where he was as I then realised the rope and his neck tightly and
I could the rope was trying to stretch back but then suddenly wills body fell
to the ground as the rope straightened again something else hit the ground as
well after it , it fell with a thud , I looked at will again which he was in a
limp position I looked at his head I then realised wasn’t there and was a
fleshy stub with blood squirting out of it, I started running away from the
area screaming with a blurred vision due to all the tears in my eyes I seen the
tent in view I ran towards it I then opened
the zip  “ James hurr-‘’ with a
gasp I nearly fainted to find James a limp body with a spear through his neck I
stagger out of the tent running back into the forest screaming I kept on
running not caring at all on how much stamina I had I then seen a cabin made
out of wood it looked old due to my fright and weak mentality I automatically
thought it was as safe place to go I slammed open the creaky door and jumped
inside slamming it shut I didn’t get a chance to have a good look at the place
as I fell onto the door with exhaustion and started weeping loudly with my
unclear vision I seen this object swinging slowly like a pendulum but it wasn’t
it was a chain with a jar attached to it I opened my eyes and swept away the
tears inside the jar was  something that
looked familiar as my brain wasn’t working properly I couldn’t remember I
suddenly had a faint idea of learning about it in science then it came to me “
a heart!’’ I realised “a…hea-…-rt’’ “oh gawd!” I then realised there was a
whole room full of them I locked my eyes onto this switch crying again there
was a wire leading to somewhere it was connected to the switch I then found
where it was leading to and it was lead in to the back of this chair and there
was someone in the chair I got up and looked him in the eyes he had a duct tape
on his mouth and he was crying I looked at him again “Zack !” I cried ripping
the duct tape off his mouse he gasped for air and then in gaggled rushed voice
he said “Jonathon you need to go know he’s after us not you he wants to keep
you so you can spread the word”. “Look Zack I don’t what you’re on about let’s
get you out of here”. As I was about to unstrap Zack from the chair a deep
harsh voice behind me said “''I wouldn’t
touch if I was you''” I jumped back turning around seeing it… its crooked
smile and its spiral eyes it made me gasp “''oh
and good telling him I don’t have to waste my breath now''” I slammed his
black gloved hand on the switch I lunged away from Zack realising it was an
electric chair he was strapped to I turned around to see him spaz out in the
chair ,white foamy froth started coming out of his mouth he started crying
blood “'''NOOOOOOOOOOOOO'''!!!” I screamed .he came towards me “''remember to spread my word or it will be the same for you my child''”.

As for now I am reunited with my parents and I’m more mental than ever , I was blamed for the five deaths in court but I made no communication with any of the questions they asked me and I was arrested and taken to an asylum where I spent the rest of my life in strong chains and remember what he said about spreading the word well he visited me again saying that every person I spread the word to about the '''''smiler '''''will die a painful death  oh and you have just turned into my next person I have spreaded the word to well done .
