  — misun doesn't have that many friends. when she first
   started going to high school, she decided to be alone.
   to isolate and have peace. she didn't wat to get hurt or

BACKGROUND
 ✬ misun doesn't have any special background. the girl was
   born in anyang, where she lived until she started middle
   school. she moved to sokcho due to her father getting a
   work promotion. honestly, she loves sokcho more than her
   birth town. she is currently a high school student, just
   started her 4th year. ever since she was little, she
   planned on becoming a doctor when she finishes her
   studies. she's interested in medicine and psychology.
   she was actually good in biology while she was in middle
   school. during her younger years, she used to get
   bullied because of her quietness. the divas of her
   middle school never liked her attitude, and misun in
   general. they dared to bother her, but it all ended up
   with them getting suspended as misun told the principal.

 ✬ when she turned 5, misun unfortunetaly became color
   blind because of her clumsiness. she was playing with a
   firesetter behind her mother's back. she was too busy
   talking to her friends and didn't notice misun got the
   firesetter. being the dumb girl she was back then, she
   wanted to try it out and get closer to it. she thought
   she'll get hypnotized by looking at it for too long, but
   it actually ended up with color blindness. the
   firesetter was too close to her eyes, about four
   centimeters away. until now, misun still doesn't see
   colors, only colors she sees are black and white, which
   basically aren't even true colors.

 ✬ ARE YOU A STALKER OR SOMETHING?
  — during a school trip to a park, jaemin accidentaly got
    lost in the woods and found misun peacefully drawing in
    her sketchbook. he instantly recognized her as the
    mysterious and introverted kid from his class. ever
    since he transfered to this school, he always wanted to
    meet her personally as he found her interesting. jaemin
    remembers how she always sits in the last row and has
    no friends from her class. not too long ago, he noticed
    how she always had crayons next to her, but never used
    them. same as now, misun was sitting on the grass next
    to a pond while she drew a girl, her sister actually.
    he decided to approach her and as he did, she
    immediately noticed him walking towards her with a
    smile on his face. when he came close, he stopped his
    tracks and stared at the drawing. the sketch was
    perfect, he was amused. "earth to jaemin." she spoke
    up, surprising the guy as he was told that she doesn't
    talk at all.

  — he stared at with widened eyes. "are you okay?" she
    asks caringly, still receiving no reaction from the new
    boy. "uhm..i guess not." misun smiles slightly,
    continuing to draw as she hears him talking.
    "sorry..i'm just confused." he admits, playing with his
    fingers to kill his excitement of finally meeting her.
    "confused? why?" she asks curiously. "well, i was told
    that you don't talk." misun suddenly starts laughing,
    almost dropping her pencil in the pond accidentaly.
    "why are you laughing?" again, jaemin asks in
    confusion. he found this all weird and awkward as he
    didn't expect her to be this friendly. "i don't
    know..your expression is just— kinda funny haha!"

  — "so you're laughing at me?" he questions, receiving a
    jokingly response from her. "i don't see anyone else
    here." honestly, jaemin was surprised. she's different
    from what he expected. he actually thought she would
    be shy and introverted girl as she looked like one.
    wanting to change the subject, he asked her; "do you
    like drawing?" misun stared at him, as she started
    poeticly describe. "'like' is too weak of a word to
    describe my feelings towards drawing." she stopped for
    a little to think. "but yeah. you could say i like it."

  — "the girl you're drawing is pretty. who is she?" misun
    looked at the pond. she sighed before talking. "i know.
    she's my sister." she said, "you may know her, (h/n)."
    jaemin stared at her as he pointed out amusedly. "oh,
    thats why you both look alike! twins, right?" she nods,
    sadly continuing to draw without looking back at him.
    after a ling awkward silence, misun again spoke up.
    "why are you staring?" jaemin's heart instantly speed
    up as he got caught. he started stuttering as he
    exclaimed. "oh, um— i was, admiring your skills."
    hearing his response, she looked at him suspiciously
    with a smirk. "is that so?" she smiled at him, "ah, by
    the way..why did you transfer?"

  — "that was random—" jaemin laughs, "well, they closed my
    school during summer break due to bribery case. so i
    had to change schools." he explains, staring at misun
    as she looks surprised. "ahh..i see." she said quietly.
    for the third time now, the awkward silence has taken
    over the atmosphere. "i hear you're really smart."
    jaemin points out, making misun feel amused. "you seem
    to know quite a bit about me." she says, "are you a
    stalker or something?" she confusedly asks, making
    jaemin shake his hands in denial. "wHAT?? NO—" he
    denies before explaining, "it's just that you're really
    popular in our school so i know some stuff."


  — "me? popular? i think you're mistaken." she laughs, not
    believing a word he just said. "you don't know that
    everyone knows about you, misun?" she looks down at the
    pond, "they don't know my name tho." she quietly says,
    her voice barely audible for jaemin to hear. "aren't
    popular people usually those with lots of friends? like
    everyone knows them INCLUDING their real name." she
    questions as she continues staring at the pond in front
    of her. "well yeah, but..since they don't know your
    name they came up with a nickname for you. so it's not
    like they refer to you as 'that girl'." jaemin slowly
    starts to explain, "they actually have a name for
    you..kind of. so that means you meet the conditions of
    being popular, doesn't it?"

  — as misun didn't respond, he asked again. "you know you
    have a nickname, right?" she nods, still not daring to
    look at him. "i know they all call me 'The Black
    Princess'. i don't know why tho.." she honestly
    explains. "well, you always wear black and they say
    you're as beautiful as a princess." he smiles, "they
    also say you're the most beautiful girl in the entire
    school. and seeing you up-close like this, i understand
    why they say that." misun noticeably blushed from his
    words as her eyes went wide. "a-are you saying..i'm— b-
    beautiful?" jaemin pfts. "like you didn't know already.
    you're pretty good looking." he saw her blush so he
    asked, "are you blushing?". seeing her pinkish cheeks,
    he started smiling victoriously. "me? blushing? pft!
    nO!" she looked away from him, "it's just hot here."
    she started taking off her black jacket before he spoke
    up. "according to the forecast, it's -4° today." aaaand
    she puts the jacket back on. "...."

  — jaemin chuckled at her cuteness. "actually, the
    nickname they gave you is pretty cool. i like it." at
    that time, misun turned towards him as she locked eyes
    with him. her plain black eyes showing a tint of
    sadness withing them, making jaemin frown almost
    instantly. "but i don't." she sighed. "i mean..the
    black princess? it sounds pretty fairy tale like. it
    makes me feel like i'm not even a real person." she
    admits to him whike frowning. "like i'm not even their
    classmate. like we don't attend the same school at
    all." she continues, "it makes me feel distant." she
    once again looks away, her eyes turning glassy as she
    stared at the water pond. "different from others."
    jaemin starts thinking to himself, 'why does she sound
    lonely? isn't she the one who decided to not make
    friends? to be isolated?'

  — "it's just..i would like them to call me by my real
    name." she suddenly lifted her head up towards him,
    once again her black eyes looking with his brown ones.
    "and you were the first one to do so. you were the
    first one to call me by my real name." she slightly
    smiles, "thank you for not being like others." jaemin
    couldn't resist but to smile back and wanting to hug
    her, but before he could do so, his best friend broke
    the moment as he found him. "jaemin? wHERE THE FUCK
    WERE YOU—" jeno screams worriedly, running towards him
    but jaemin was fast to get up and push him away. he
    turned around and smiled at misun, who stared at them
    awkwardly and waved at him. as the two boys started
    walking, jeno smirked, "nice choice. she's hot" he
    jokingly said, receiving a kick from jaemin. from the
    distance, misun was staring at them both with a smile
    on her face.

    atleast someone was curious about her. she admited she

  — in the beginning, jaemin and misun were only friends.
    they knew a little bit about each other as they weren't
    that close at all. he still found her interesting and
    he would often talk to her. she appreciates his
    friendliness, but sometimes finds him suspicious at how
    he always asks questions of her past. jaemin wants to
    get close to her, but it seems like she's still pushing
    him away. to some questions related to her past she
    doesn't answer, but only changes the subject. at that
    time, he didn't know she was color blind. nobody knew.
    and because he didn't know, he was confused and thought
    something bad happened to her in the past.

  — still, misun didn't tell him about her color
    blindness. her sister tried to encourage her to tell
    him, but she didn't listen. sometimes when they would
    go out, misun would start crossing the road during the
    red light, making jaemin worried as he thinks she's
    trying to kill herself. though she keeps secrets from
    him, they got quite close. they hang out more and talk
    a lot to each other in school. the news already spread
    through the entire school, "the new kid talking to the
    black princess".

  — misun has finally told him about her condition. she has
    gathered courage to tell him, all this time she thought
    he'll reject her and avoid her, but after all, he
    became more protective over her ever since she told
    him. everytime she would go out, jaemin would go with
    her and help her cross the road. he even sticked paper
    with color's name on each of her crayons to help her
    know which color is which. they became bestfriends at
    that time, jaemin had a crush on her and he didn't hide
    it. he would often show it by bringing her on dates,
    holding her hands ir trying to kiss her. misun is the
    same as him, straight forward about her feelings
    towards him. at the end, misun confessed to him and
    jaemin accepted it. they became a couple, and for their
    first anniversary, misun gifted him a drawing of them
    next to the water pond where they first met. but the
    drawing was different this time. it was colored
    perfectly, as if she knew colors really well.

 ✬ during a chemistry test, jaemin was struggling as he
    didn't study for it. misun noticed it, so she decided
    to risk and use telepathy to tell him the answers.
    'pst. jm!' he heard her voice in his head, making him
    startled and almost falling off his chair. the teacher
    looked at him suspiciously but got back to paperwork as
    he apologized. 'misun? is this you?!' he thought,
    looking at the girl who was not too far away from him.
    'yeah, it's me.' she giggles, making jaemin's stomach
    bubbly. 'wait— are you jesus?' he asks, staring at the
    shocked girl who almost bursted into laughter. 'what?
    NO!' he hears her saying through telepathy, 'i'll
    explain everything later, but now i need to help you
    with this test.' she says, receiving a playful glare
    from him across the classroom. 'you better. until then,
    i'll think you're jesus.'
