  1. [02:20] The magi looked at Percy, nodding his head.
  2.
  3. Those eyes of silver, however, seemed far despite him being so close. They were dead like fish eyes, for an occultist lives only in the pleasure of war.
  4.
  5. Without blood, screams and destruction about him, he was naught but an empty husk of himself.
  6.
  7. He turned his gaze away, looking toward the lake, as if mesmerized by its beauty.
  8. (Yu Heifang)
  9. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  10.
  11. [02:22] He glances to Yu for few moments with a kind smile before he realizes something .. Different, about the Heifang. Yu was one of his best friends.
  12.
  13. And now, something was off about him. He seemed sick. Or distant.
  14.
  15. "..Everything okay, bud'?" He ponders. It seemed different.
  16.
  17. He didn't know how edgy he was now.
  18. (Percival Kang)
  19. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  20.
  21. [02:26] "Briar awaits, Percival. Dusk awaits," said the Heifang in a cold tone of voice.
  22.
  23. "They will learn to know fear. They will learn to know evil. True evil and carnage," he said.
  24.
  25. "Will you be with me, Percival? My friend? Someone I consider my brother? Or will you strike me, to save our enemies from my wrath?" asked Yu, before looking back to the Kang.
  26.
  27. His presence of dread stronger than before, colder and even more suffocating.
  28. (Yu Heifang)
  29. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  30.
  31. [02:29] As Yu begins to say extremely edgy things, the Kang breathes in. He knew the answer, and how it would truly go down on this path.
  32.
  33. He sighs heavily.
  34.
  35. "..I don't know. If you go to far I will strike you down. But so long as your heart is in the right place ..
  36.
  37. ..No. I won't."
  38.
  39. He knew a downward descent when he saw one, and he knew when he watched a spiral reach its peak.
  40.
  41. Luckily, Yu seemed far from it at this time.
  42. (Percival Kang)
  43. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  44.
  45. [02:36] He slowly nodded, heading his sights upon one of the Spires. So far away, they reached for the stars.
  46.
  47. Like the Shogun said, they must claim the Spires. For a new Agartha.
  48.
  49. "How dare they call me a hypocrite. How dare they call me even more savage than most of Dusk. How dare they, yet upon loss, they've turned away. Abandoning their men, killed by my own hands. How dare they preach protecting people when they save their own skin before their people," said the Heifang, venom in his voice.
  50.
  51. Though, it was somewhat obvious he was trying to justify his actions, no matter how cruel they may be. A crisis of his identity as an occultist.
  52.
  53. "How could they. What right do they have to spit hypocrisy, Percival. I was right about them. They are evil, no matter how they try to paint their ideals. And I will show them what my people, our people has always feared about them. Thousand fold, they will feel that same pain. That same fear as I strike them down.
  54.
  55. They don't have the right to call me a hypocrite. They don't."
  56. (Yu Heifang)
  57. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  58.
  59. [02:43] As Yu explains, and justifies, and tells Percival about how everything he is doing is fine and dandy, and definitely not inhumane, the youngest Kang stares at him blankly. He doesn't know what to say. It brought many moral dilemmas into question..
  60.
  61. "But Yu.." He softly spoke, trying to reach out and put a hand on his shoulder. "..That doesn't make you a good person. I'm sorry. Some of those people have no free will in their matter.
  62.
  63. I would rather grant mercy than kill people who have no choice. The magi have a choice. They express a free will stronger than the angels.."
  64.
  65. His eyes rest on the spires outwards.
  66.
  67. "... If you turn on anyone, I will strike you down. That's all I'm going to say."
  68. (Percival Kang)
  69. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  70.
  71. [02:50] "I'm not a good person, Percival," he said, gritting his teeth as he felt the soft tap of the Kang on his shoulder.
  72.
  73. Albeit a small gesture, it made him comfortable. At peace. Though his instincts told him to fight it, that such a feeling he does not deserve for the innocents he murdered. For the villages he raided and burned, and for forcing the soldiers of Fourfold commit inhumane acts.
  74.
  75. No, he cannot deserve it.
  76.
  77. "And if I have to be a good person in order to fight the darkness, to fight this war. Then, I'd rather fight alone. Do I have to fight and preach righteousness in order to win this war, Percy? Tell me. Do I have to show mercy to earn the right to fight with the Alliance? Do I have to be a good person?" he asked, glancing to the Kang. A memory played out in his mind, as a child of Dusk called out for his mother. Though, he ignored such pleas as the burning roof of his house fell upon him.
  78.
  79. Conflicted, hewanted reassurance. Was he wrong at all? To be a mirror of evil which is Dusk? To be a mirror of the sins of Briar?
  80. (Yu Heifang)
  81. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  82.
  83. [02:56] As Yu continued to speak, Percival feels weak. It was nothing he could truly change. He'd accepted that his capacity to change these things, and influence others was very minimal. Convincing Sindarin to submit to the lighthouse didn't do much, in fact, it did very little.
  84.
  85. He sighed.
  86.
  87. "..I'm just not going to tell you it's right. I know nothing I say will matter to you, or stop you from doing it." He frowned.
  88.
  89. "..So follow your path of vengeance. As you wish."
  90. (Percival Kang)
  91. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  92.
  93. [03:01] "You are the very few of whose words I trust, Percival," he said, his features softening. "Your words will forever matter."
  94.
  95. He looked up the sky, empty with clouds, no stars visible or even the sun. It was beauty in purest of forms.
  96.
  97. "So, thank you," he whispered.
  98.
  99. For promising to strike him down, to kill him, if ever he turns on anyone. He trusted the Kang, and he did not trust himself.
  100.
  101. And to turn against his own people, caused by madness and wrath; only death shall pay for that sin.
  102. (Yu Heifang)
  103. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  104.
  105. [03:08] Yu Heifang says, "I'll head back to the frontlines."
  106. [03:08] Yu Heifang says, "Farewell, Percy."
  107. [03:08] Percival Kang says, "..Alright. Be safe."
