  57. -The Rise of the Third Empire-
  58. 1172 - 1220 Asherick I Davacyn
  59. IN HIS REIGN
  60. The Long Winter was ended, and the Empire was
  61. made whole once more. The rule of Garwaen was
  62. extended far beyond the borders of Lestony,
  63. and the Emperor was recognized in the lands of
  64. Skirae and Hyria. Stormward was taken and the
  65. Granmark re-established.
  66. 1220 - 1224 Deston I Davacyn
  67. IN HIS REIGN
  68. Though beloved as a prince, Deston is not
  69. much remembered for his reign as emperor.
  70. 1224 - 1243 Asherick II Davacyn
  71. IN HIS REIGN
  72. The Kelachs paid homage to the emperor in
  73. Garwaen, and the Naxians were defeated
  74. three times upon the sea when they tried to
  75. contest his son's claim to the throne.
  76. 1243 - 1278 Deston II Davacyn
  77. IN HIS REIGN
  78. Naxos was brought into the Empire, and it
  79. was said that Garwaen ruled all of Orsia.
  80.
  81. -The Realmsbane-
  82. 1278 - 1286 Edrick I Realmsbane Davacyn
  83. IN HIS REIGN
  84. The Naxians rebelled, and named his cousin
  85. Daracus as their king. Trusting in the
  86. counsel of his cousin Tybrit Sciri, the Earl
  87. of Kendrick, he nearly led the realm to ruin,
  88. losing Naxos to the rebels. In the final year
  89. of his reign, his cousin Aethery, Warden of
  90. the Granmark, rose up against him. He was
  91. murdered by a servant as Aethery's army
  92. laid siege to Garwaen.
  93.
  94. -The Thanes' War-
  95. 1286 - 1287 Aethery the Savior Davacyn
  96. IN HIS REIGN
  97. Belonging to a distant cadet line, Aethery's
  98. claim was in much dispute, and he was accused
  99. of assassinating Edrick. Though he hoped to
  100. launch an invasion to reclaim Naxos, he was
  101. thwarted by the machinations of Tybrit Earl of
  102. Kendrick, who was Edrick's cousin and wed to
  103. Edrick's daughter, and united the Thanes of the
  104. Leston heartlands against him. His only ally in
  105. Lestony was his cousin Tybrit Stromward, who
  106. replaced him as Warden of the Granmark. He
  107. died of natural causes.
  108. 1287 - 1289 Deston III Davacyn
  109. IN HIS REIGN
  110. He battled the armies of Tybrit Earl of Kendrick.
  111. The Kelachs and Skiraens rebelled against his rule
  112. and established petty kingdoms that lasted for
  113. many years. He was killed in battle and his seven
  114. year old son Corwin exiled to the Granmark.
  115. 1289 - 1303 Tybrit I Sciri
  116. IN HIS REIGN
  117. He secured Leston rule over Hyria, but was
  118. unable to subdue the Kelachs, Skiraens, or the
  119. Granmark. He was regarded as a hero by the
  120. nobility, but as a cruel tyrant by the common
  121. people, and they supported Corwin Davacyn when
  122. he sought to win back his father's throne.
  123. Camren made a secret alliance with Tybrit's
  124. cousin Sario, who slew Tybrit in his sleep.
  125.
  126. -The Iron Fist-
  127. 1303 - 1331 Corwin the Steadfast Davacyn
  128. IN HIS REIGN
  129. The Skiraens and Kelachs were subjugated. The
  130. Thanesmoot was dissolved for their part in
  131. Tybrit's treachery and Corwin ruled absolutely.
  132. Five further rebellions were defeated and the
  133. Empire prospered.
  134.
  135. - The Great Rebellion-
  136. 1331 - 1333 Edrick II Davacyn
  137. IN HIS REIGN
  138. The Kelachs, Skiraens, and Hyrians rebelled.
  139. He was slain at the Battle of Tinn Saighidh.
  140.
  141. -The Reconciliation-
  142. 1333 - 1375 Deston IV Davacyn
  143. IN HIS REIGN
  144. He defeated the Hyrians and Skiraens and made
  145. peace with the Kelachs, establishing his uncle
  146. Deston as Warden of the Sutherland March. His
  147. cousin, Tybrit Stromward, the Warden of the
  148. Granmark, made a dark pact with the Winter King
  149. and rose up to usurp the Silver Dragon Throne.
  150. He was defeated and the Winter King sealed in
  151. Stromward once more.
  152. 1375 - 1392 Tybrit III Davacyn
  153. IN HIS REIGN
  154. His reign was peaceful and just, but he became
  155. irate in his later years due to his inability to
  156. bare a male heir. His brother in law Aetherick,
  157. Warden of the Sutherland March, persuaded him to
  158. wed his daughter Morgia to his nephew Edrick,
  159. allowing the Davacyn line to continue.
  160.
  161. -The War of the Wyverns-
  162. 1392 - 1399 Edrick II Sutherland
  163. IN HIS REIGN
  164. His succession was challenged by Tybrit's nephew
  165. Deston, Warden of the Granmark, who as the son of
  166. a brother rather than a sister had a better claim.
  167. He was backed by his father Aetherick the Warden
  168. of the Sutherland March. He was slain in the Siege
  169. of Briston.
  170. 1399 - 1405 Deston V Davacyn
  171. IN HIS REIGN
  172. He claimed the throne and killed Edrick and his father
  173. Aetherick, but was contested by Edrick's brother and son,
  174. both named Deston. He reigned for six years before being
  175. assassinated by his brother Morgar.
  176. 1405 - 1410 Morgar Davacyn
  177. IN HIS REIGN
  178. Backed by House Denere of Tyston. Killed Deston Sutherland
  179. on the field of battle, but was defeated by Deston Davacyn,
  180. son of Emperor Edrick.
  181.
  182. -Deston's Spring-
  183. 1410 - 1428 Deston VI Davacyn
  184. IN HIS REIGN
  185. Took the name of his mother's house and wed Coreth, daughter
  186. of Deston V, to secure his claim to the throne. He named his
  187. marshall, Beorick Boldon, Warden of the Granmark. Killed Osgar
  188. son of Morgar, ending the War of the Wyverns, though some
  189. called him a coward for killing a young boy. The destruction
  190. caused by the war brought new power to the common people, and
  191. Deston implemented a number of legal reforms that weakened the
  192. authority of the nobility.
  193.
  194. -The Leston Risings-
  195. 1428 - 1464 Deston VII Davacyn
  196. IN HIS REIGN
  197. His early reign was marked by a policy of development and
  198. centralization, and he dreamed of restoring the empire to its
  199. former glory. While a popular emperor in his youth, he became
  200. increasingly easily manipulated by the nobility, and this
  201. alienated him from the common people. His later reign saw the
  202. Stormcrown Uprising, led by the Thane of Stromcreow. While the
  203. uprising was eventually defeated, he was assassinated soon
  204. after.
  205. 1464 - ???? Tybrit IV Davacyn
  206. IN HIS REIGN
  207. His succession to the throne was disputed by Garrick Rudgar,
  208. Thane of Grennfell, who crowned himself High King of the
  209. Lestons.
