- Magne strolls into the house and immediately flops down on the plush chair in front of the fireplace, removing her sheathed blade to let it rest at the side. A spark of magic lights up the fireplace, creating a soft, warm crackling sound that often helped her relax. A sip of coffee from her flask later and she was ready to begin!
- "Alright, Jamey! So, what did Alya and Arno teach you?" Magne asked, canting her head. No point going over lessons already learned!
- (Magne Kriemhild)
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Jamey says, "Arno, I'm afraid taught me zelch."
- Jamey says, "Haven't even seen him today."
- Jamey says, "Alya, on the other hand... Taught me just about everything... At least, that I can think's to be known..."
- Magne Kriemhild says, "If she's already taught you, how can I help?! There's gotta be something, hm. ."
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- She'd sit backwards on the chair before she nodded, "In fact there is Magne! I know the basics, I know what's necessary to teach myself maybe... But, as you know, if I'm going to learn this 'bless' spell before the fight comes along, I'll be needing all the training I can get. From what Alya taught me, and Arno too I suppose in our brief interaction is that Holy Magic comes from an inter-personal perspective. That your perspective and outlook can change how effective your magic is."
- "I'd like to have any holy magi I could offer me their own insights, hopefully through understanding maybe I could tap into that insight, and with it maybe even the golden magic. Wh-Which Alya tells me, is where I fault. Though, she tells me I've come to understand it at least on some practical level. For example-" ,she'd hold up a hand, effortlessly creating a flawed rendition of the smite spell, "I understand howto shape and harness it toward incantations... But, my magic is still... Weak. It fails to hold its shape."
- She'd get up, coming to sit over next to Magne, "I trust you, I think you're a talented holy magi, so tell me... Is there anything you can teach me beyond what is practical? Otherwise, I'm afraid I may not grasp the magic by the battle's time."
- (Jamey)
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Oh, this girl knew how to turn on the CHARM! Saying that Magne was talented? That scratched an itch that very, very rarely ever got scratched. It was recognition, something she strove for. Her major end goal in life, really; to be recognised by others as Magne, rather than 'that whelp that follows Alya and Rinn around.'
- "Well, insight? I can give you insight! My magic comes from both natural talent due to my bloodline, and a strong desire to protect. To protect myself, to protect my family, my friends and the people of Theria as a whole. From love, as cliché as that sounds. Its true that your mind and emotions can change the impact of your magic. When I lost Arno and Alya, I found it oft difficult to manifest my shield around me. Now that things're back to normal and I can actually think straight again? Its as effortless as breathing for me!"
- Magne held out her palm and allowed happy thoughts to flow into her mind. Almost instantaneously, a ball of golden glowing energy appeared in her hand, radiating a constant calmness that washed over the room and those within it. As the thoughts kept racing through her mind, it got brighter and brighter, changing its makeup entirely into something wholly different. A bright ball of pure, shining light. The calming effect remained, but the magic itself changed. It symbolised what Magne wanted to become; a light people could look up to, recognise as her, and enjoy. She wanted to be that warm presence for people. Perhaps one day she'd manage it.
- "My magic has started to warp a little, to take on the manifestation of my inner goals. I want to be a light for people, and the emotions that come with that goal lead my Holy magic into transforming into something else. I've got a strong drive, a powerful motivation to do it."
- "So, Jamey, what is your motivation? What drives you to want to learn this magic? What is your end goal? Think strongly and clearly upon it. Think of reaching that end goal and looking back at whoever it is you're doing it for. Let those emotions roll through you and use that to fuel your strength!" Magne finished, allowing the ball of light to flicker out of existence as she turned to the budding magi!
- (Magne Kriemhild)
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Jamey says, "Truthfully..."
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- She'd hold her chin, looking into the crackling embers of the fireplace for a moment before she watched the kindling flames die out. She said, "I want to learn this spell, this 'blessing' so that I can keep people safe, in ways I otherwise can't. I am a good craftsmen, but armor has a limit. I'll give my all to see Theira prevail in this war, I'll give everything I got if I have to-" ,she held her chest tightly, "Everything... Even I don't get this, I WILL! Give everything."
- "I want to protect Theria, and I want to protect its people. I want to reserve those freedoms for myself, and others who strive to reach those freedoms. I want to protect our independence, I'm scared to think just what else might become of Theria if the Prince and Orsona took over..."
- "God-" ,she sent mana shooting off to the wood, and with a fume that rose briefly through the fireplace it was lit again.
- "My goal, is to learn this spell, and stay one step ahead. For Theria's sake, and when this all blows over, I'll use it to keep Lyn safe... The way she keeps me safe."

- Magne listened to the passion-filled words that flew from Jameys mouth. The girl was speaking from the heart, not the mind; a constant flow of her true feelings and thoughts on the matter of her motivations and magics. It was nice to hear someone just as passionate as her about protecting those around them.
- Jamey and Magne were two sides of the same coin. Both wanted to protect, but whilst Magne wished to draw her blade and fight those who came to destroy their way of life over sheer pettiness, Jamey wanted to assist those fighters. Both were equally righteous and both were absolutely necessary.
- A hand came to smack down on Jameys shoulder, taking a tight hold of the girl as the Drakanites auburn hues bored into those of the ex-cleric.
- "That's righteous, Jamey. That's strong motivation. Amazing motivation. You've got the drive for it, or you wouldn't be spending your life heading down this path, spending your years learning this spell. We don't have long, but I've full hopes that you can pull this off. That you can achieve your goals!"
- "You want to protect exactly what I want to protect, but. . there's something you need to realize. Your own safety and protection comes first. Yourself above others. If you get killed trying to protect one person, how are you going to protect one hundred more? You need to remember to absolutely look after yourself when doing something like this. ."
- A stern warning, one that came from not only her older sisters teachings but her own experiences too. She'd made a mistake in the past when it came to that, and it could have led to the untimely death of her brother. It all worked out in the end, but even then it wasn't something that she should have done.
- Do as I say, not as I do.
- "Lynette is someone to be treasured. She might be a mighty wolf that seems unsympathetic on the outside, but on the inside she cares just as much as we do. She's deserving of protection. Always on the front lines, fighting for our freedoms and our rights in her own ways. Keep her safe, Jamey. I know I'm going to try to, too." she finished, taking a deep breath and closing her eyes.
- "Now focus on all of that. . and show me your light."
- (Magne Kriemhild)
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- She'd close her eyes. It was dark, the crackling flame in the back-wood fireplace, it smelled of hickory. She took a pause, some time before she even thought to focus her drive, simply clearing her mind beforehand. Everything was dark, and everything was quiet. Then, there was light. In Jamey's hand there was... There was that spell, but... But it was proper.
- It manifested completely, it took its shape, and she let go immediately to watch it dissipate. She closed her eyes and did it again, instead of focusing on producing the specific spell, she instead took deep breaths. In-and-out, one-after-another, until she felt at peace again. When her drive came in mind, again she felt the light glimmer within her very soul. Only this time, it manifested as more than an incantation. Around her, she could feel the holy energies, raising parts of her hair. She felt it filling the room with a warm glow, one that exceeded even the comfort of a cushioned chair next toa fire place. It felt, safe. She felt safe, she'd managed to focus her drive, and she now had the ability to harness it.
- With a faint holy aura fading around her, she came back to, and looked at Magne. "Your help is appreciated, more than you could understand... Thank you Magne."
- She gave her a head nod, before sitting calmly. She felt tranquility, and peace. In her very being, it was truly, something to be admired. She asked then, "Do you think you could teach me some of the more complex aspects of holy magic? Like, maybe specific incantations?"
- She waited eagerly for a response.
- (Jamey)
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- The soft crackling of the fire was music to her ears. A calming, orderly flame danced within the fireplace of the Kriemhild household. The wood cut by Alya, arranged in the fireplace by Arno and lit by Magne. It was nice and peaceful today.
- And that peace only got stronger as her current student managed to manifest a solid, tangible spell of raw Holy magic, fuelled by her passion and drive! It only got better, as after a few tries of such a technique, her energy sparked around her as an invisible aura, physically affecting her body and spreading positivity around the room! Hope, peace, strength, happiness. All of it, radiating outwards from the Saintly girl that sat beside her.
- "Ryujins tail, Jamey, you've done it! All you need to do now basically is call upon that magic faster. Practice it over and over again, feel how it touches your circuitry, replicate the effect and push it until it becomes second nature to you. Once you're able to do that, you can start to learn the more advanced stuff! Like this!"
- Magne stood to her feet and swung her wings outwards, extending them to their full four foot span. Both wings began to shine brightly, exuding an aura of protection that radiated outwards from her body, shielding her from harm! To the untrained eye it looked like a basic shield, but those who paid attention could see tendrils connecting to her body, feeding energy into her.
- It was the Guardian technique!
- But Magne decided that she wanted to try to take it further. To turn this lesson with Jamey into one for herself. To push her limits, right here and now, to show Jamey that Holy magic was just the first step. A gateway to something else entirely!
- "This is the Guardian technique. . but I want to try something. I'm putting my trust in you to stop this from going wrong. I need you to shield me in a barrier of your own making, no matter what type of magic it is. To do the Guardian technique. . its a bit like basic magic. Allow the Holy energy to flow out from you, but apply shaping to it. Surround yourself in it. Its primarily a shield with a twist. Keep feeding the magic outwards, but. . also let it back in. Let it soothe your body, heal your wounds. When something impacts you, pull magical energy from it and assimilate it, then feed it back into you. Its not as difficult as it sounds, I promise. For now, focus on making the shield. Wrap it around me."
- Once Jamey got that down, something began to happen. Magnes shield condensed rapidly, fitting around her like a bodysuit. Shortly after, as memories began to flow through her mind, the light got brighter and brighter until she burned as radiant as a star!
- And then something else. Magne infused her body with that energy, allowing it to burn itself into every single cell within her form. The Holy light that burned around her. . became her. She put her faith in not only Jamey, but herself. Just as quickly as the suit formed around her, she began to break apart. Bit by bit, Magne began to vanish. . disintegrating into photons. She trusted in her magical abilities now, enough to perform a potentially highly dangerous technique.
- Within moments. . Magne was gone. Nothing but pure light, kept tight inside that shield of Jameys. Released from a mortal form, nothing but pure photons and magic. A highly advanced technique, one she wasn't sure of trying until recently. .
- And, due to Jameys shield stopping those photons from escaping, Magne began to reform. Bit by bit, from the feet to the tip of her head. The light coalesced and pulled itself back together into a corporeal form. Back into the ever-recognisable Magne!
- A very, very tired looking Magne. It was very obvious that performing such an advanced technique had tired the young girl out, but she knew that with practice it'd become effortless. Second nature, just like using her Holy magic. She could use it to zip around at will, not having to worry about falling apart. The links between the photons, while weak right now, would only get stronger and allow faster reapparition.
- "Y-You can disband it now, Jamey. You did. . really, really well." Magne hummed, flopping back into her chair as the shield faded away.
- "That was. . another application of both of our magics. I burst into pure light and reformed while your shield kept me from floating everywhere. Your desire to protect and do well. ."
- "Thank you."
- (Magne Kriemhild)
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Jamey says, "Well..."
- Jamey exclaims, "I'll call upon you when I hone my skill with this 'blessing' incantation. Thank you for you time Magne!"
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- She'd get up, giving Magne a head bow, before she made her leave. She was off to meditate and hopefully hone in on this new magic... Hopefully this new spell, and if she could train with enough efficiency. If fate was on her side, she just might be ready for a battle.
- (Jamey)
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Magne Kriemhild says, "Eheh. . lemme come with and return to the square."
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Magne staggers to her feet, still visibly tired, and moves to follow Jamey after re-attaching her sword to her waist.
- (Magne Kriemhild)
