— BACKGROUND: tuan was born in cambodia, but moved to vietnam when he was a year old, so he considers himself culturally more vietnamese. his dad died shortly after they moved to vietnam from a stroke when tuan was three years old, and his mother had another child on the way at the time. tuan ended up being the oldest of four siblings: a boy, boy and girl twins, and the youngest girl. even though he lived in vietnam, he still learned khmer (cambodian) from his mom, who was cambodian, however, his mother was rarely home because her work hours were long, so he took care of the younger siblings himself. he later went to south korea to study film and the arts/media, since there were no possible chances of studying that with the situation he had in vietnam.

— PERSONALITY: tuan is very parent-like and always watches out for his friends. since he’s the oldest (in the friend group and his family), he cares a lot and makes sure that nothing bad will happen. he’s very attentive of his surroundings and has to know absolutely everything that’s going on or he will be worried (seriously, he can hear you drop a fork from a mile away). he may look like he’ll let some things slide, but he does not let absolutely anything get past him. he knows how to pack a punch and kick so he can guard his friends and take those measures if necessary, which adds to his overprotective nature.
— HABITS:
- spaces out and can’t focus on many subjects at a time
- conflicting with that, he multitasks a lot and handles many situations
- stays up late very often doing work or just mindlessly staring at the ceiling
