Sunset

Its all horizontal
As it slips away
The thin lines of clouds
Like fine repetitive lines
Of perfect script
Writing to tell us
That we have lost another day

Pink, Purples, Blue
Are splashed across
The sky
The handwriting of spirit
Has told us the way
Turn out your lights
And settle down
It’s time to get horizontal
And rest for the day.
