Just keep in mind that you likely can't get the job of your dreams, per se. You need to get relevant experience in most cases, and working a mundane job provides opportunities for that learning to take place.

Yeah, that's the kind of thing I would bring up with job counselors or future employers. Not necessarily that this happen in a videogame, but that you feel the need to help people succeed.
