  1. One of the best things about the affiliate program for me is simply the title, and acknowledgement. At first I thought that the requirements to become an affiliate should have been higher, because Twitch kind of implied that it was something for people who are "on the road to partner," as it were. However, I'm glad now that the requirements are lower than that, because here's what it means to me: It doesn't matter as much for affiliate status whether you're someone like Jerkro who's well on his way to partner with many followers, consistent viewerbase regardless of game, etc., or someone like me with less than a hundred followers and a few very loyal viewers subject to change based on game choice. It's more about the time put in getting good at my games and streaming them, and just this simple recognition of that journey is incredibly gratifying. Twitch has struggled in the past when they release new features with people questioning why they generally exclusively support Twitch partners and ignore non-partnered streamers, and I feel like this is an excellent feature to respond to those concerns.
