[justify]With the elections set in place, a handful of candidates are now campaigning to represent one of San Andreas' seven senatorial districts. With the voting period beginning in just three days, the landscape of who will run and what ideas they will stand for is beginning to form. While the the Democratic Party of San Andreas has been completely silent as of yet, the Republican Party has established its agenda for the election. Some experts suggest that the Republicans' reputation will be a major advantage for them during the elections. However, the fight might not be so easy, as an independent candidate, Vincent McKinney, also threw his hat into the ring. Looking at the most recent polls, McKinney seems to be siding with the majority of the public on nearly all issues, and has run on the idea of representing the common men and women of San Andreas. The independent senate hopeful held a town hall in the evening of July 16th, explaining his views and answering several questions from the audience.

While the citizens of San Andreas prepare for voting season, there is an apparent lack of preparation from most candidates, and a lack of candidates themselves. If these trends continue, we may see a quick election.[/justify]
