  1. Hilda Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone
  2. • Hilda lives with her mum in Trollburg. She doesn’t want to go to Hogwarts, since that would mean leaving home. Johanna convinces her to at least go to Diagon Alley, they can look at supplies, and hopefully seeing the magical world will convince her it’s a good idea.
  3. • They arrive at Diagon Alley, and Hilda’s amazed at what she sees. All the magic is really cool, and she even gets a sweet wand from Olivander. That’s when she sees Trevor hit a raven with a rock. She goes over to comfort the raven, only to find out he’s magic, can talk, and has amnesia. She carries him with her to ask her mom what they should do about it, and finds her talking with an adorably tiny elf about a stone. Mum suggests bringing the raven along, as they are allowed magical pets, and perhaps they can help him regain his memories.
  4. • Hilda and Raven board the train, we get an emotional farewell between Hilda and Johanna, and they’re off to Hogwarts. They are soon joined by a pair of other first years, Frida and David. Fast friendships, and they’re soon at Hogwarts and ready to be sorted.
  5. • David is first to be sorted, goes into Hufflepuff. Frida gets put into Ravenclaw next, then Trevor into Slytherin. Finally, Hilda is sorted into Gryffindor. They all eat as Craigey Williams shows up with the other ghosts of Hogwarts to greet the students for the new year.
  6. • Classes start, Hilda learns to fly a broom (already pretty good at it due to her previous experience flying on Woffs), and is admitted to the Quidditch team. The trio discover Jellybean guarding a secret door, but are chased off before they can investigate. A Troll breaks into the school, attacks Frida, and is defeated by David and Hilda.
  7. • Hilda wins her first Quidditch match, and during Christmas break, receives an Invisibility cloak from Mum. Hilda uses the cloak to do some snooping, only to find the mirror of Erised, and her desire to live with just her Mum deep in the woods, surrounded by magical creatures. She wants to live a simply life with the ones she cares about, which Dumbledore says is a rather noble goal to strive for.
  8. • Another visit to the Woodman leads to them learning that the Philosopher’s Stone is what’s hidden behind the Black Hound, and how to get around it. When they realize Dumbledore has left the school grounds, they come to the conclusion that someone will be attempting to steal the stone. They meet up outside the door that night to find Jellybean asleep, and sneak down the trap door. They pass each of the trials, David getting knocked out in wizard’s chess and Frida staying behind to look after him.
  9. • Hilda enters the final room alone to see Professor Quirrel, the Defense against the Dark Arts teacher, staring at the Mirror of Erised. He can’t get past the final challenge in order to bring Voldemort back, but perhaps Hilda can. Hilda manages to get the stone, and when Quirrel tries to take it from her, she uses it to protect herself, forcing Voldemort to abandon his host, which in turn causes Quirrel to die.
  10. • Hilda passes out, only to wake up in the medical wing of Hogwarts. Dumbledore has returned to inform her that everything is ok, the stone has been destroyed, and Voldemort will not return. They end the year with Gryffindor winning the house cup.
