  21. The moist, dripping echo of sparse condensation from the ceilings of the cave broke the silence of the otherwise still surroundings around Enna. The Elf peered into the entrance unsure of why she'd really come to this place, or what really was on the map she'd stolen from the Drow Slavers she'd escaped from, but she'd heard broken understandings of their tongue explain that it was important. That it could grant wishes. Grant power. Normally Enna wouldn't be so desperate as to try to mess with such rumours, but she was beginning to wonder if she had fallen even from Amaunator's grace, like she had her own kind. It seemed, to herself, that Amaunator was shunning his light from her, giving her nothing but dark clouds and seasons of rain.
  22.
  23. With a hefty sigh Enna finally took her first step into the cave clinging onto the straps of the bag over her shoulder and shifted in the traveler's clothing she'd managed to afford before going on her adventure. Walking as quiet as she could, with a light foot and true to her name, it seemed almost impossible to remain completely silent as her foot would break the surface of the water and scatter bits of jagged pebble beneath her feet.
  24.
  25. Despite the dark of the cave, however, Enna was able to see pretty clearly with defined outlines of anything she'd encountered; perks of being a High Elf, like such, were reasons she believed their race to be so great and perfect. Her eyes scanned the walls with curious intent, wondering and half expecting to run into traps or triplines, though not yet encountering anything of the sort. What she did end up finding, however, was a small little gem just ahead a ways. Pushing onward she'd conjure up her Mage's Hand and let the ghost-like evocation float harmlessly over to the gem to pick it up, activating anything that might be a trap. When the gem was floated back to herself without lines and snags the Elf sighed and let the hand disappear just as the gem was dropped into her hand.
  26.
  27. Another evocation evoked a small ray of light to fill into the gem from the tip of her finger at the touch. It made the walls of the cave glitter and reflect off the moisture in colours of greens and yellows. With a faint smile she'd end the lightshow and pocket the gem, pushing forward, and feeling much more confident about the journey.

  32.
  33. The smoke whirled about excitedly, his long ennui broken by another entrant. The last few beings to investigate had been some deer and a particularly bright raccoon, and while their blood did soothe his desires to control and consume life they were a paltry snack. He needed to consume intelligence. Emotion. Absorb it and revel in it.
  34.
  35. Otherwise he might as well just return to the astral planes, where there were more demons than there were solid particles here on the material plane, here in Faerun. Each desperate and jealous for even a single molecule to animate and control and call his own. So even though he was bound to this, the most meager of meager dwellings, a dingy cave that had once been used for storage and occasional refuge, he guarded his little estate jealously. Worked tirelessly to expand it, make it more enticing, fill it with whatever riches he found, and attract more willing minions to his control.
  36.
  37. But an ADVENTURER. This was a rare treat. Someone to match wits with.
  38.
  39. Little wisps of smoke rose through cracks in the stone from the lower floors, removing traps. It didn't pay to scare someone off so quickly. It watched as it was rewarded with the being fetching that first gem so effortlessly, no doubt thinking it had accomplished something great. It chased off a vampire bat that had been about to strike at head level, and eased back in place a poisoned spike that would have launched itself.
  40.
  41. The smoke curled around her feet, exploring her. Someone it took up residence within her clothing, checking out and examining what had come, designing tests for it, slowly and gently to tease and entice it inwards, ever further inwards, until she was ready to meet him.
  42.
  43. Up ahead, he swiftly arranged some bones. They weren't all from the same individual - it didn't matter. He arranged them however made sense to him, trying to get the number of limbs and their placements approximately right. There arose from the floor 4 animated skeletons in total. Two began clinking forward, each with stabbing swords but sharing a single wooden shield between them, reinforced with leather. Tugging it back and forth. One had an extra arm, but somehow the bones had become entangled in the straps. Behind them was another twin, this one with a sling and a bag of sharpened knucklebones.
  44.
  45. And the last: a larger skeleton, this one actually with some bits of armor, carrying a morning star. Whatever this one had been assembled from, his skull bore horns and fangs, and slight wisps of blue light shone with intelligence from his eye sockets.
  46.

  50.
  51. Enna was completely unaware of the events that were, or rather weren't, taking place due to help from the other side. Though a raucous in the distance made her pointed ears perk and eyes dart forward, pausing momentarily only to hear the clattering of joints and weapons. Looking back she saw she was pretty far into the cave already, and strength was not one of her greater assets, but she also hadn't time to prepare for any more involved evocations.
  52.
  53. Still. She wasn't without some defense and she needed whatever the treasure was at the end of the cave.
  54.
  55. Lurking forward she'd see in the distance the skeletons and her quick eyes scanned over their weapons. Two looked doltish, not much of a fight, but the one in the back? Her lips pursed and she'd clear her throat.
  56.
  57. "Right." Enna mumbled to herself, then pushed up the sleeves over her arms past her elbows and called up the last resort evocation, and likely the last of her reserves until she could prepare again. A shield of light that covered approximately 2 and a half feet around her in all directions. Barreling forward she'd hope for the best, never really testing the shield out in any full extent.

  62.
  63. The first two skeletons can't seem to get their act together as regards the shield, and each bounce to either side as there magical bubble barrels between them, one losing an arm in the process. The elf's momentum carries her forward, directly into the largest figure...... which collapses uselessly without raising a weapon.
  64.
  65. The eyes dim immediately and a burst of smoke shoots out and overhead, making back to the entrance of the cave.
  66.
  67. No longer animated, the many, many bones of the figure now penetrate the magical shield and drop inside it, along with the chain of the morningstar. They get between her legs, the chain wraps around an arm, and immediately arrest her enthusiasm, tripping her and sending her sprawling onto the ground! Was the supposed leader just a straw man?
  68.
  69. There's a sharp sting. It's the smallest figure. The doing and knucklbones. They're enchanted! Runes on each boner. The penetrate her magical field. Sting! Sting! They draw blood.
  70.
  71. The first two figures lumber back. One now with three arms, one having just the one. They stand on either side of the mess and take turns bashing at the magical shield in turn.
  72.
  73. (If the fight gets too messy, there's help to come.......)

  78.
  79. Her plan was working pretty well. The shield battered the skeletons and her swift feet were slowing in triumph over the cleared path, though caution still with her. There could have been more. Somewhere.
  80.
  81. Moments after she yelped and felt the harsh scrape of the rocky bottom against her palm as she fell. She hissed as her hands burned and then recoiled when pierced.
  82.
  83. "Amaunator be with me..." Enna used what strength she had to kick off the chain at her leg while her hand reached for the nearest object, being her flask on a rope. The elf huffed as she flailed the metal flask at the offensive stingers.
  84.
  85. Finding little luck at defending herself she came to her feet and tried keeping her attention on defense. However, the skeletal beings banging away at shield were so much of a distraction.
  86.
  87. Enna's attention was then drawn to the shield as she noted cracks in field. "Oh. Oh no." She grew nervous. Swatting at whatever intruders were able to get to her, the elf attempted to repair her shield with sputtering light form her fingertips.
  88.
  89. Spit. Spit. Spzzzzz...
  90.
  91. Continually bashing at her protective barrier it wouldn't last much longer. And just as she was trying to figure up something else, the shield shattered.
  92.
  93. Enna screamed and hunkered down, using her bag to cover her head and neck.
  94.

  98.
  99. The flask hit the skeleton with the sling and it erupted in green magical fire.
  100.
  101. The flaming skeleton simply began launching flaming bones at her.
  102.
  103. The other two skeletons felt themselves push through the shield and started grabbing at the elf all over, trying to grapple her and hold her down, almost surrounding her with a pick-up-stix jumble of bones intertwining her until she could barely move.
  104.
  105. Suddenly, there was a movement from afar.
  106.
  107. "Sally hooooo!" came a yell from behind, the entrance of the cave. With a loud clanging and crashing, a tall dark and handsome figure came lumbering forward. Holding a massive and unwieldy sword, and clad in gleaming armore, and festooned with colorful ribbons - this, THIS is what a 6 year old would have drawn her Prince Charming as. He was clumsy and his sword hit the walls of the cave and triggered little rock falls as he swung his masssive sword, hitting vampire bat and poisoned spike alike. "Never fear dear..... princess? Thief? Rescue is a-nearing!" There was a scarf wrapped around the bottom half of his face.
  108.
  109. Wisps of smoke whirled excitedly around his legs, propelling him forward...
  110.

  114.
  115. Almost struggling to breath with the weight of bones clambering all around her, and a with the fear of having just failed her mission so miserably so soon, Enna's eyes were slammed shut with much of her power reserve used up. Though another unfamiliar sound different than that around her was echoing through the cavern and disrupting the scene.
  116.
  117. It sounded like he was having troubles of his own, what with the clanking of metal against stone. Not daring to look from her position she'd continued only just trying to survive, using the remaining of her power reserve to simply heal what she could and keep from being entangled into the cave floor.
  118.
  119. "Yes! I do believe the time for heroic speech would be much better enjoyed after I'm not being encumbered, dear knight!" She'd call out in exasperation.
  120.

  122.
  123. Hungry Teddy - Jan 1, 2018 at 12:59 PM
  124.
  125. The knight moves about awkwardly, clearly having not thought through his armor and sword and shield for fighting in the close confines of the cave. Almost as if he'd just heard the concept of a knight and was trying to play act it now. Unable to make a full swing, he just hit the skeletons with the hilt of his sword. Effortlessly, they fell apart at the lightest touch. Too easily.
  126.
  127. "Fair maiden! You have been rescued!" He stood there, his face still covered by the shawl, his sword back on his back again. He held out a hand to help her up.
  128.
  129. All around them wisps of black smoke darted around excitedly. The little wisp that had been inside her clothing, weakening her shield from within, exited and returned to join the rest of the cloudy smoke.
  130.
  131. It seemed to be following around the new entrant in particular, suffusing him entirely.
  132.

  134.
  135. Primarie - Jan 2, 2018 at 1:44 AM
  136.
  137. The ridiculous amount of sound brought by this new outside force coming to her rescue was unbearable. How could a knight be so clumsy and... loud? Perhaps he were to be the worst of his peers and sent off on a "daring" adventure only to be permanently cast out of his village via death. They'd cry, honour him, but then ultimately forget about him. Thanking the forces for having removed him from their society.
  138.
  139. Finally sensing him nearby Enna looked up from her place to see him and his strange fighting stance. She'd raise a brow in the most uninterested and muted way before then staring at the pile of bones that just... happened to fall apart from what seemed to be the breeze. Was she that weak or was he just that strong? She'd shake her head as the danger had been dealt with.
  140.
  141. Enna then noted the hand held out to her.
  142.
  143. She grew uninterested again. Stoic.
  144.
  145. There was something too strange about this situation, and the strange black mist gathering around him was even weirder, in her opinion. Having spent the last couple years in Drow slavery, Enna wasn't trusting of just anyone. Yes, he saved her, but what led this... "brave knight" to realise someone in this cave was needing help? And much less, that it were a female?
  146.
  147. Not taking the hand given to her, Enna rose to her feet without any problem. Unless counting the stabbing pain at her ankles from the chain and fall. She'd grunt before leaning to the wall of the cave and inhale deeply. "Yes. Thank you. Now if you will excuse me." She'd stare with much observant distrust before forcing herself to be as dainty as possible on the injured ankle and work her way back to the treasure in the cave. She'd gone this far and maybe, by the time she had reached the end, she'd be healed up plenty enough with her remaining power to make fleet with her feet and run out.
  148.
  149. What she thought might be a quick task was turning out to be something entirely.... otherworldly.
  150.
  151. ====
  152.
  153. Hungry Teddy - Jan 2, 2018 at 9:35 PM
  154.
  155. It was growing really dark. The knight's movements had caused little cave falls, blotting out a lot of the light from the entrance. There might not be any going back, not from this entrance.
  156.
  157. The knight didn't seem to react at all to her coolness. Like he didn't notice, didn't quite get human interactions fully.
  158.
  159. "I am Sir John Doeford the IVth. Pleased to meet your acquaintance. Your ankle! It is hurt. May I lend my shoulder in service?"
  160.
  161. He pronounced "fourth" as "eye vee thhh".
  162.
  163. Suddenly there was a rustling. The noise of the fighting disturbed a massive number of bats on the ceiling. Thousands of them. They all started whirling about furiously, diving and nipping at both figures.
  164.
  165. These were wild creatures. Not at all in control of whatever force was behind this dungeon.
  166.
  167. The knight looked around in a panic. He hadn't expected this. "Oh! My! Oh!..... No!" He couldn't get a hit with his sword. He couldn't even swing it safely in this tiny space. He started hitting the bats with massive swipes of his gauntletted hands, squishing several with each swipe - but there were too many. Far, Far too many. Each dive with wings left tiny cuts in any exposed skin.
  168.
  169. He tossed several extremely powerful healing potions at the elf, far far more powerful than the situation called for, some thousands of years old.
  170.
  171. "I have no idea what's going on! But I've taken refuge in this cave before! There's a trap door at the far end that goes down to a hidden level. Use whatever magic you have, then let's make a run for it!"
  172.
  173. ====
  174.
  175. Primarie - Jan 3, 2018 at 6:08 AM
  176.
  177. Enna's eyes remained cool and narrow in distrust of the "man" standing before her. He wasn't of the human variety, that was obvious. His words made no sense and.... did he just talk out the Roman numericals as if they were just letters? Something was completely off. What, she didn't know, but she wasn't about to stick around for that much longer to find out this strangers intentions.
  178.
  179. And of course, just when she thought she was about to just walk away from this strange and unconventional... being, the Elf heard the shriek of something familiar. Her head turned to look in the direction of the sound just in time to see the bats swarming them. Eyes widening she'd ducked her head again and covered her neck and face. Being in the Underdark for so long she had grown accustomed to bats and spiders of all sorts, but in swarms? Never.
  180.
  181. It seemed this.. Sir John Doeford wasn't prepared for this either.
  182.
  183. Enna hadn't any time to think before she'd see some potions tossed in her direction. Staring at them she wasn't sure what was going on, or if she should trust it, but it seemed he wasn't about to use whatever magical force he had to protect them. Sighing, the Elf took one potion, putting the others in her bag, and took a swig of the liquor. So revolting and.... Oh gods, how old was this brew?!
  184.
  185. Moments later she'd feel a surge of energy return to her enough for her put up a bright shield of light emitted from one hand, the other holding the still partially full potion she was attempting to cork back up with her other hand. Backing away from the now fleeing beasts, who were working their best to avoid the blinding lights. Just when the fliers had seemed confused enough, and when the remaining of her energy was used, Enna hustled with bag in one hand and poorly corked bottle in another. She'd run down to the far end of the tunnel just as suggested and didn't even attempt to look back.
  186.

  190.
  191. Sir John took full advantage of the offered light. He swung and smashed and soon his arms were covered in gore. Whatever his other faults were, he was relentless and simply did not seem to tire. There were so many bats that it was almost impossible to breathe, to take a step without the bats grabbing hold and trying to weigh down arms and legs. Slowly, ponderously he cleared the path before the elf. The confused whirling bats smashed into each other and made the floor slick, wriggling dazed bats mixd up with the guano. He threw open th trapdoor, and not waiting to figure out anything else simply fell bodily down the hole, landing far below with a massive thud.
  192.
  193. The hole was black. There was a rope ladder part way down, but from there on it was a drop of faith. The only thing below for sure was Joe lying prone. It was utterly black.
  194.
  195. The unidentified healing potions were making the elf's very skin glow slightly.
  196.

  200.
  201. Seeing the "knight" open a door and jump down, Enna offered no hesitation to follow suit, using one hand to close the door, she'd hear John crash down and blinked, staring into the hole and wondering just what kind of drop it was. Now petrified, and hanging onto a dingy rope ladder, she'd sigh heavily before closing her eyes and then dropping down, hoping to spin this fall into a way she wouldn't completely destroy her legs.
  202.
  203. Squealing as she'd feel the air of the drop, she'd yelp as she'd land on top of John and groan, the metal not a comfortable landing. Using her forearms to try to lift herself up, she'd push herself off to the side and sigh, her platinum strands splayed out and now stained with mix of blood and debris.
  204.
  205. "Amaunator be yassen amin." She'd sigh out under her breath. Just then, after gathering her breath, she'd sit up and hold her head. Whatever was in this potion was giving her a headache, or perhaps it were the fall, or commotion, or the complex arrangement of it all? Either way, Enna was not cut out for this adventurer lifestyle.
  206.

  210.
  211. His nature made him instantly understand anything said in any language (meaning lol translate it for me).
  212.
  213. John oofed in pain. Godsdamnit he thought, it hurts when I'm bound to a body, even though this body already has all broken ribs under the armor to begin with.
  214.
  215. They were in a space now that was lined with bricks, with a cement floor covered think with dirt. It wasn't dark though. The elf's skin was definitely glowing.
  216.
  217. Oh noes! He thought. That potion was meant to be drunk by gods and god level creatures! No idea what it might do to a mortal!
  218.
  219. (Feel free to create your own effects, I have just one small one in mind but I'll reveal it later)
  220.
  221. He let out a tiny secret tendril of smoke which snuck into the elf's bag and retreived the unused potions, and tightened the cork on the one she'd drunk as tightly as it possibly could, since she'd notice that one.
  222.
  223. "Are you feeling... Ok?" He asked, tentatively.
  224.

  228.
  229. (Translation: Amaunator be with me.)
  230.
  231. Enna hardly had time to comprehend her surroundings when she'd note a light source coming from somewhere through her thin eyelids. Upon opening her eyes, and midway responding to the stranger, she'd stop and stare, "I am fine. Nothing a mom--" Her hands were glowing. Lifting up her sleeve she'd see even her arm was bright. Eyes opened now in surprise she'd try to remain calm, but what was it that this stranger had given her?!
  232.
  233. Now staring over at the man she'd feel herself growing warm, starting from her head and working its way down to her arms, fingers, and legs. "What did you do to me?" She'd not note anything more. Was this some strange experiment? Did... did he work with or for the Drow?! That would explain the smoke that seemed to emanate from the armour.
  234.
  235. Moments pass and the heat begins growing to a point that the elf began sweating profusely. And on top of that, blood heated in her veins pumped rapidly before dripping first from her left nostril. It seemed to effects stopped there, for now. Fever, headache, bloody nose, and glowing skin. Enna huffed and felt her hands shaking to try to remove the leather covering she used for a light armour.
  236.

  240.
  241. "It's a health potion! It's just..... a VERY strong health potion!"
  242.
  243. He watched her reaction and made a mental note to ensure that it went into a locked chest requiring multiple keys and a VERY ferocious mini-boss monster guarding it. No reason for anyone to come across one of those by accident in future.
  244.
  245. He saw that she was trying to remove her armor and assisted, unlacing her leathers, revealing her underthings.
  246.
  247. All of her skin was glowing.
  248.
  249. And.... flawless. Utterly flawless. He could see years of torture scars from drow whips and devices smoothing over and disappearing. Flesh palid from living on meager rations in the underdark suddenly bulging with soft toned muscle and a healthy glow.
  250.
  251. The elf was looking..... hot. For lack of a better word. Unlike any adventurer that had come down here before, that was for sure.
  252.

  255. Primarie - Jan 3, 2018 at 2:04 PM
  256.
  257. Clasp after clasp undone and finally the blasted covering was gone allowing her skin to breath. She'd huff, leaning back onto the ground where the coolness of the concrete and dirt soothed her skin, though caused clumps of dirt to amass into what could only be described as speckles of mud. All Enna wanted to do at the moment was to tear her skin off and release whatever hellfire had been put upon her, but as time went on, so did the effects. Eventually, after the healing of her body, and the filling out of her underclothes, the heat subsided and the poor young woman was allowed to relax.
  258.
  259. Enna took a long, low, deep breath as it felt like she had run a marathon in such a short period of time. Staring up at the ceiling now with half lidded eyes, she'd look to the Knight who had went about saving her and then sighed. She didn't want to get up just yet, but the cool, underground air brushing over her skin made her feel a bit nippy. Realising she was exposed to the other, the Sun Elf sat up and checked over her body. Though the faint headache was still there, she wasn't burning up inside anymore and the pains of before were gone.
  260.
  261. Her scars. Her exposed ribs. The pain in her ankle. All gone.
  262.
  263. Enna stared at the evidence of the potion before then looking to her leathers and exhaled heavily in relief. It felt awkward now. She felt she owed the man, but at the same time like he'd owed her for having caused such a commotion to create a whirlwind of bats to attack them.
  264.
  265. Whatever. Neither owed neither anything.
  266.
  267. She'd reach for her vestment to redress, after wiping off debris from her backside, and begin to readjust the outfit. Only after beginning to put on the leather did she figure it to still be rather warm did she decide simply to let it hang open and for her skin to breath again.
  268.
  269. "Where are we, if you've camped here so often?" She'd ask breaking the awkward silence on her part.

  274.
  275. Smoke continued to billow around them in the dark, excitedly exploring all over her revealed body, noticing each and every change versus when it had explored her before, under her clothes.

  277. "Well, I've never made such a commotion such as you with your magical shield there - never riled up those bats like so. They really are uncontrollable."
  278.
  279. The knight made a show of chivalry, turning around to look away from her lack of dress. Simultaneously however an almost imperceptible face formed in the smoke, continuing to face towards the elf curiously.
  280.
  281. "Yes um I am a fighter um I mean a knight and have come here to chase bandits, they have hid many a treasure here in these storage caves below, well protected with traps - many of which I have seen and can help you with. I've removed those potions before, which are quite powerful and of course I know quite well know in fact exactly what I was doing because oh yes I'm a paladin not just a knight I forgot that bit earlier."
  282.
  283. "There are other exits too, but we must go deeper first"
  284.
  285. "Tell me about yourself, and what you seek?"
  286.
  287. (No need to actually write out all the dialog, you can just summarize your intro, since you explained some of it earlier)
  288.
  289. It's still dark, darker still because of the smoke - and despite your glowing body there are no walls visible, the darkness just goes on in all directions, and the ceiling is high.

  295. Enna's eyes continued looking to catch any minute detail that might have caused this strange human to trip up. Having not dealt with many she still knew they were strange and inferior, but this one seemed particularly.. off.
  296.
  297. As he turned and she changed, her ears with their perfect hearing picked up all he said. Perhaps he were just socially awkward. She heard humans to be plagued with many different ailments, mentally being a wide variety.
  298.
  299. He was inquiring about her now. He did claim to know these parts, so indulging him with information perhaps would help her own cause. Starting first with her imprisonment, she explained it all, perhaps too much, as it still stung when she thought about it.
  300.
  301. There was a pause for a moment before she inhaled and cleared her throat. "So I am working to regain my regalia back. These dreaded leathers do not breath and are horribly crafted." Still yet she felt warm, removing the leather top and trying to fashion a breast coverage that might work better than her bounding bandages. Unfortunately there was no such luck, but at least the bandages weren't showing much.
  302.
  303. Only then looking around the elf found even her low light sight was failing. Able to see some distance she wondered if the potion had effected her sight at all. Her stare into the depths only turned her face into the stoic and proud stare of the Sun Elf's heritage.
  304.
  305. "I suppose you are to lead the way then." She stood tall, growing warmer still yet around her waist and thighs.

  310.
  311. He was curious... a fascinating story, it's uniqueness what fed his thirst for something that broke up the monotony of existence. Just by shaking him up it held up and reversed the ennui that lead to the slow foreboding stillness of the demonic soul and the closest a demon could come to death: complete stasis, stuck and locked into itself forever, in a tomb of gems and treasure and bones and magically sleeping monsters where nothing ever moved or did anything interesting.
  312.
  313. The smoke whirled around her, licking at her skin all over, savoring the warmth rising from deep within her, no doubt coaxing it further too, desirous of her excitement.
  314.
  315. He was enjoying her company. Best give her an adventure.
  316.
  317. Far away a tiny tendril of smoke reached out and dipped an oil soaked wick into a small flame that stood at the ready. Rapidly the wick quick bruned, leading to another and another and another - and in moments dozens of lamps all lit themselves. Each lamp was high upon a pillar, and made just that pillar visible, a tiny ring of light around it. Vast pools of darkness remaining between each.
  318.
  319. It was some vast underground cistern. The type that might serve as storage, or fill with water.
  320.
  321. There were movements of creatures at the edges of the various pools of light.
  322.
  323. "No doubt you'd wish to reclaim some of your ancestral gear then? It is here. I have seen it - wandering these aisles chasing....... bandits, to the exits. Every culture's treasures - at least a trinket or two, collected here."
  324.
  325. He turned to look at her, his black eyes which in the complete blackness had appeared to be glowing, but now simply deep pits once again.
  326.
  327. "So tell me elf - what does your heart desire?"

  332.
  333. In what seemed like a century between the end of her story and the beginning of his next sentence, Enna rolled her shoulders in an attempt to loosen her muscles, which proved difficult with how warm she was getting. And this... strange man made her feel uncomfortable.
  334.
  335. Nevertheless she was stuck here with him and would need to work through whatever happened on her own accord.
  336.
  337. Looking further out, however, she would hear the first breath of a flame flick and then a trail. Her eyes followed the source of light until finally staring down the ling corridor. Even yet there wasn't anything visible. Anxiety creeped up into her skin and made her hairs stand on end. Her heart paced a little quicker.
  338.
  339. What she could make of the place made her think that this hadn't been just coincidence. His statement proved it though.
  340.
  341. "Just earlier you spoke of just hiding here a time or two. Nothing of chasing bandits. As if.. you protect the grounds?" Enna's eyes narrowed a tad as she crossed her arms over herself and clung to her inner elbows.
  342.
  343. Who was this man? Was he man at all?
  344.
  345. "My desires of are no concern to anyone but myself. If we are asking questions now instead of trying to leave from here, what are you if not a simple "adventuring hero"?" Enna hissed under her breath and only just noticed creeping creatures in the shadows appearing to be one with the shadows themselves.

  350.
  351. He glid surreally towards her, lifting both of his arms to grab her by the upper arms. Smoke surrounded his hands, as if they were making them larger. The smoke enveloped her upper arms and held them in place firmly. Not hard. Just immobile, despite whatever superhuman strength she may have just gained. The smoke was warm.
  352.
  353. "Someone who can help you fulfill any heart's desire." he hissed, his voice going from its almost goofball joviality to an echo-y rumble felt deep inside.
  354.
  355. There was a loud "thwap!" as a sticky glob flew past them, missing her face by inches.
  356.
  357. In the distance at the next pillar of light, there were some spiders' legs barely visible.
  358.
  359. THWAP THWAP THWAP several more sticky globs of spit came at them, one by one lobbed, some closer, some further.
  360.
  361. One even hit Sir John, sending his arm spinning at an odd angle. And then he pulled his hand back to her upper arm. Hot sticky spider juice dripped from his arm, his armor slowly degrading as if from acid.
  362.
  363. The smoke continued to billow around her, holding her in place, as the goo continued to lob towards them.
  364.
  365. Sir John continued to stare into her eyes intently.

  370.
  371. While continuing to glance at the creatures about the "room", Enna would feel arms clenching hers and holding her still and in place. Turning her attention to the hands on her she'd lose her cool demeanor and try to wriggle free. "Excuse me? How dare you!" Despite his attempt at trying to convey to her just what sort of person he was, her Elven personality was still strong and she considered it a great offense to be held as she was, unannounced and unasked for.
  372.
  373. Her brows furrowed, but just before she could object there would be another sound somewhere off. Seeing the white glob she'd gasp and then look around to try to make out where it came from. Legs. Spider legs. Drow?!
  374.
  375. Eyes widening she'd hear the attacks only increase and her fears of Drow doubled by the second. It'd hit a high when even his arm was hit. There wasn't even anything she could do. Flashbacks of her time spent in the Underdark came back. Imprisoned, used as a workforce, slaved away. Beaten. Starved.
  376.
  377. "What are you doing?! We are... We.. We are being... being attacked!" Her walls broke pretty rapidly at the threat of a Drow force closing in. Now hyperventilating and trying to squirm away, she'd find the only thing she could look at without becoming totally lost of mind was staring back at the intense gaze she was given. What did he want?
