° background : born as the third eldest out of 4 children, gyeowul grew up in a pretty warm household in a village near the kingdom. though her parents were often busy with their shop, they were still kind and caring parents that even put their children before themselves. her family opened up a small bakery below their house and although there were many people that came to buy bread everyday, they still weren't making enough to raise the 6 of them so her parents were often struggling with financial problems. she disliked seeing her parents unhappy or stressed so she had always tried her best to help them out whenever she can. one of her biggest dreams is to let her parents live the rest of their lives happyily with no worries—but she was too young at that time and couldn't help much.

gyeowul was kidnapped to queen nefarious's kingdom when she was 7. she was playing around with other kids in the village that day but as the night drew near, the children left to eat dinner one by one. when most of them left, an old man passed by and asked the remaining children if they wanted to eat some candy. the old man wasn't just any stranger though, gyeowul recognized he was the fish seller at the market. so without any suspicion, she took the chocolate—but she had never seen the sun again after that. she didn't hate the man for what he did though, since she understood that he was just saving his only son from getting captured into the kingdom. as harsh as the training was, gyeowul easily adapted to the new place and was rarely ever seen tired. she even had the energy to make friends and became acquainted with everyone (even a few queen's guards) in no time. she had always thought the queen was weird for forbidding love and was itching to find out why she made the rule. gyeowul was often playing around and slacking off in training too, but she grew to become one of the twenty best warriors in the kingdom.


° personality :

✧ her name means "winter" but gyeowul is nowhere close to being a cold or mature person. there’s never a time when you can find her without a smile on her face. while she strives to be a good fighter, she clearly enjoys every minute of it too.  she's also all about affection and a self-proclaimed mood maker that tries to make those around her happy on a daily.

✧ LIVELY & ENERGETIC — gyeowul's most often described by others as cute, sweet and boisterous. she's the girl to find when you want to let loose and have some fun. but just be careful though, she knows no limits and can get a bit too loud or overboard a teeny bit sometimes. she is also always hyper active and jumping around, you don't even need caffeine to keep her running.

✧ CARELESS — it's true that she's alert to her surroundings and can change her plans or think up a new solution in a mere few minutes, but gyeowul is also careless and forgetful. whether it be misplacing her things or letting an important event slip her mind, others are often shaking their heads at her. she doesn't like planning ahead either, so she's often seen in a rush too. it doesn't help that gyeowul lacks commen sense too, but she makes up for it all with her determination.

✧ HUMOROUS — she's known to have a pretty nice sense of humor too, and is really easily amused to the point that she probably can't keep a straight face for more than ten seconds. you can occasionally hear her laughing at the wrong times or see her not be able to finish telling a single funny incident without interruptions because she'll just fall into fits of giggles. once gyeowul laughs, it might take more than 30 minutes to calm down. she once laughed for over an hour after the love interest told her a joke.

✧ FEARLESS + RECKLESS — the saying "curiosity killed the cat" is definitely talking about gyeowul. she's a girl that's ruled by her own curiosity and she's always moving wherever the wind takes her. she likes to explore and wander around, occasionally secretly climbing over the walls of the castle to visit the village or take a stroll somewhere else. gyeowul is rarely seen scared or agitated and the queen isn't an exception as she isn't afraid of her either.

✧ CHILDISH & PLAYFUL — loves to fool around and act like a child on a daily, gyeowul has a great amount of physical energy and everything she does projects an aura of freshness and enthusiasm. she's the outdoorsy type of girl and she isn't afraid to get her hands dirty or afraid of bugs and animals. this doesn't mean that she's always energetic though—in fact, she can get quite lazy sometimes and want nothing more but to stay at home and do nothing for the rest of the day.

✧ ELOQUENT SPEAKER — she may act like a kid, but you shouldn't be fooled by her big eyes and innocent smile. gyeowul is actually known for her smooth talking. she just has a good way with words and knows how to get what she wants almost every time. she's good at manipulating people, but she would never use this ability to do something bad.

✧ FREE SPIRITED — she's also pretty independent and prefers to accomplish or solve her problems herself rather than asking for someone's help, since she likes a good challenge. gyeowul will also do anything if you dare or challenge her too. she's basically up for anything that comes her way but the one thing she won't allow is to be tied down by anyone or anything. she needs to be able to have freedom or she'll feel like it's hard to breathe if it's taken away from her.

✧ OPTIMISTIC — pretty much the most optimistic of the group and she believes everything has a way out. she does acknowledge the bad side of things too, but she just often chooses to believe and focus more on the brighter side of situations. gyeowul generally fails to see the severity of things but she can always cheer people up. is laid back and optimistic most of the time—rarely seen stressed and almost always has a smile on her face. she's pretty open with her emotions in general and tries to stay upbeat 24/7 because she dislikes negative emotions or crying, especially in front of others. she just doesn't want to be a burden to anyone and keeps most of her worries and problems to herself—which might be too overwhelming for her to take sometimes.

he's a tall, warm hearted and attractive boy that's chill 24/7. he's charismatic and gives off the "either his way or the highway" kind of vibe but he's actually soft spoken on the inside, and pretty easy to talk to. unfortunately due to his lack of emotions, he often accidentally comes off a bit cold or harsh sometimes—even when he meant for his words or actions to come out nicely. (but after he met gyeowul, his awkwardness became better) he's known to be one of the fiercest warriors in this generation, but he's literally a cute gigantic teddy bear that's confused 24/7 on why everyone's so scared of him.

aside from his intimidating looks, he's also pretty fit and has a good body. when he's not fighting, he tries to be as gentle as he can, but his actions occasionally still comes out too rough because he forgets to control his strength. he's a laid back boy in general, that's governed solely by his own instincts and passion. he knows no fears or boundaries but he's someone that'll work hard and put all of his energy into something when he needs to. he has leader like qualities and the others often look up to him like a dad too. he wants to be more friendly so he occasionally chimes in a conversation with a joke or pun out of the blue to try to ease the atmosphere, but it often just makes the situation more awkward.

hyunwoo was one of the first people gyeowul met when she started to train at the kingdom since he was assigned to show her around. they somehow just became friends after that, which surprised a lot of people there since the two of them have such different personalities. they make a great duo though, and he also slowly opens up to everyone with the help of gyeowul. she sees him as one of her closest friends while he sees her as a small child that needs to be protected. he often tells her to try and act her age but he's secretly looking out for her when she isn't paying attention.

many thought hyunwoo was someone that kept to the rules since he was one of the queen's favorites. so you can say that people were even MORE surprised when they start hearing rumors that he was dating gyeowul. like the childish gyeowul and the calm and chill hyunwoo??? really???? the two of them were really surprised and confused too, on how such a ridiculous rumor was spreading around. they weren't dating at all, and were only merely crushing on each other. with the push of the other best warriors, the two probably secretly started dating. but to make sure they don't arise more suspicion, they probably decide to keep their interactions at a minimum for a while until the rumors die down. but whenever the other is in trouble, they're sure to help out.

end | their relationship is still as stable as ever since the two understand each other pretty well and have good trust in each other. though they do occasionally bicker—mostly because gyeowul was being too reckless again, they usually don't stay mad at each other for too long. they don't even try to hide the fact that they're dating anymore but the couple still haven't been found out by the queen yet, much to their surprise. they don't realize it, but others often envy them and claim that they're "couple goals" too.
