  1. This is a conversation between Combat Medic Ziegler and yourself, Blackwatch!Genji Shimada.
  2. Combat Medic Ziegler: / I didn't prepare for this oh no-
  3. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: / no worries! i can write a starter if you'd like, or you can. either way!
  4. Combat Medic Ziegler: / I can, if you'd rather,, I usually have one ready but I didn't expect to connect so quickly.
  5. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: / i'll be honest, im drawing a bit of a blank, so if you have an idea, i'm all for it! if not, though, i'm sure i can come up with something!
  6. Combat Medic Ziegler: / I absolutely have an idea, of course. Before, however, are you looking to ship? It doesn't effect me in any way, only my writing,
  7. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: / it's not one of my biggest ships, but i'll do it if you like! my blackwatch era genji tends to be pretty snappy and grumpy, though, so he might have to be swayed a bit if so!
  8. Combat Medic Ziegler: / Comfort is key. She won't be fawning, per se. Likely flirting without knowledge of her actiond due to lack of experience. It's always a great opportunity to turn the tides, or completely roast her. Dealers pick, no? I'll fetch a starter.
  9. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: / sounds great to me! thank you so much
  10. Combat Medic Ziegler: / And, to ease your worries, I will avoid the cliché check up starter. No doctorly stuff here.
  11. Combat Medic Ziegler: Time was an illusion for Angela, due to the fact she only ever slept on a blue moon - but she did manage to find a clock; thankfully she knew how to read it. Half past 6pm. She saw that as the ideal time to close her office and discard her ever-so bland lab coat. Much unlike her usual routine, she skipped the kitchens today; to find her way to the gentle tranquility of the therapy gardens. It was secluded, in fact - it could only be given access by the doctor. But every now and again people would slip in. Who was she to deny them? The flowers could protect themselves. Her blue uniform contrasted effectively against the greenery - about as hidden as coal in snow - for any who may or may not slip in. One day, she would be better at subterfuge. Tpday was not that day.
  12. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: After all that had happened, between the frequent checkups and training sessions and, eventually, missions, several people had attempted to make Genji relax. 'You're too high strung,' they'd say, gesturing at his stiff, metallic limbs as if there was any way he could possibly relax them in the first place. 'Try to find something to do that doesn't involve training. You spend too much time in that damn training range.' That time, the words rung out in his head in his Commander's voice. Reyes' face came to mind, staring down at him sternly after he'd completely decimated the training range for the hundredth time. If there was anywhere on base to relax, Genji knew it had to be Angela's therapy garden. Even she had urged him to visit it in the past, hoping it would do him some good, but he had refused. How could /flowers/ possibly help him? Though she'd led him to it before, he'd never entered until now. It really was beautiful. The bright colors contrasted against the green, and-- Genji's eyes stopped on Angela's form, and he frowned, speaking before he knew it. "Dr. Ziegler?"
  13. Combat Medic Ziegler: Angela had obviously been awestruck by something; though it could be a caterpillar for all we know. The circle of life, happening in this very facility, and she was in the centre of it all. It was equally beautiful and stressful. She never broke focus, even after Genji had inquired her attention. "It is sight, no?" She asked with a lazy gesture to whatever was oh so interesting. "It is not much, no, but it is something I can take pride in." Grass! Angela had a green thumb. She let out a content sigh, her hands folding in front of her figure. "Pardon my manners. Is there something I can do you for?" Not the best wording, but she was a little distracted.
  14. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: /pardon me there is a large rpach and i must deal with it kjsfhgkjfd
  15. Combat Medic Ziegler: / you are pardoned, yosh
  16. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: / i am. so sorry. that thing was so big
  17. Combat Medic Ziegler: / It's okay!
  18. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: Genji frowned and leaned up on his toes in an attempt to see whatever she was gesturing at, craning his neck to see around her. Whatever it was, he obviously didn't find it nearly as interesting as Angela. He opened his mouth to say so and then quickly closed it, rethinking his harsh words. Angela didn't deserve any more insults or anger towards her from him. He'd given her plenty of that when he first awoke in her office all those months ago. Instead, he simply nodded and then spoke up upon her question. "No, not really. I am supposed to be trying to... relax." He grimaced as if the last word left a sour taste in his mouth, his eyes reflecting his disgust through his face plate. "I assumed this would be the best place to attempt that."
  19. Combat Medic Ziegler: It was no surprise Genji saw nothing of interest; because there was naught. Angela was a simple person, who saw beauty in simple things. Like leaves, or flowers. You cannot enjoy life if you do not attempt to smell the roses. Finally, the cyborg had caught her attention by the mention of relaxing. Her cerulean gaze eventually found his hard, crimson scowl. Unphased she remained, offering a benevolent smile to thr ninja. "It is most quiet here- if that helps. I can take further precautions to see it stay that way, if you'd rather?" Angela was basically asking if he'd rather be alone, but made it sound as if it were directed at another. Jesse, probably.
  20. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: He glanced behind him towards the exit, worrying that some noisy member of the organization might come stomping in at that very moment. If Jesse McCree stepped through that door spouting jokes and what he thought to be pleasantries, Genji knew that he would never relax here. "Is it likely that the quiet will be interrupted? I was under the impression that this place was mostly secret." For just another moment, his eyes met hers again, frown apparent on his face. Just as quickly, he turned them away and towards the ground in search of a nice spot to settle. He did not want to be too close to the flowers nor too distant, but he also sought a spot that settled him in comfortable shade. ... After a moment of thought, he decided it wasn't really that big of a deal and dropped where he stood, crossing his legs.
  21. Combat Medic Ziegler: Angela let out a faint chuckle at the idea pf anyone going out of their way to visit the gardens. It was only ever a suggestion that her patients come to unwind. Rarely did they. "I am certain they believe the door it to a supply closet." She answered with a furrowed brow. Was the area unpleasant? She wondered for only a minute - soon perplexed by his actions. He could have settled for the large stones littered around the place, but she respected his decision, and seated with him. Not too close, however. He was a loaded pistol at times - she didn't want to be the victim again. "Reyes told you to come here, I take it? You would think since he liked to hear his own voice so much, he'd listen to his own advice." Unexpected bravery; but the flowers always kept her secrets.
  22. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: "Then I sincerely hope they do not open it in seek of supplies." His hands settled awkwardly on his thighs, and he sat straight-backed and stiff. It was certainly possible for him to relax enough to at least curl his back forward, but it seemed that he wasn't quite to that point yet. As she sat beside him, he raised his eyes to her face once more and studied her quietly. Whenever he thought about the things he'd said to her in the past despite her working her hardest to keep him alive, he regretted the things that had come out of his mouth. Despite this, he never managed to put his regret into words. "Yes, it was an order. I needed to find something to occupy my time and relax me that did not involve training." He snorted at her comment. "I agree. It seems like the commander could use some time to relax, as well. However," he paused, a small smirk forming behind his mask. "I refuse to be the messenger for that."
  23. Combat Medic Ziegler: It was nice that she could make him smile, even if it couldn't be seen. Angela shifted a bit, now sitting up her feet in a proper manner. Elegance was something that did not die easily, even on the battlefield. She had the perfecr opportunity to teade the ninja - but quickly realised he may have been speaking out of fear over his Commander; so she would leave it be. "I think to think of this as doctor-patient confidentiality. We both know what he is capable of.. and his weaknesses." Pastries, for the most part. Gabriel was a cold man - but all squirmed under the scolding wrath of doctor Ziegler and her pouty face. Speaking of scolding, her attention relocated to Genji once again. "It shouldn't take an order for you in inforce self care, Genji," She expressed with most concern, allowing her hands to fold in her lap.
  24. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: That small smiley was, unfortunately, brief. It faded into a neutral, tired expression as he consciously tried to make himself relax. It turned out that using force to make oneself relax tended to contradict. At the mention of Reyes' weaknesses, one word immediately came to mind, and he blurted it out, "Dogs." A short pause, and he swallowed. "I am fairly sure the commander would take a bullet for a dog. I have seen him do almost exactly that before." Although Gabriel was known for being distant and stern, Genji had never truly felt threatened by the man. He'd never been cruel to Genji, at least, but he still would not want to see the man's reaction to being told to relax. Once again, the topic turned back to Genji, and he scowled. "Perhaps not, but this kind of thing does not often occur to me. I do not see the point." He avoided her eyes completely now.
  25. Combat Medic Ziegler: Angela could name three times she felt uneasy around the man, but never had he intentionally endangered her. His soft spot didn't surprise her in the slightest- Jesse was the same way. He has brought four stray dogs back to base, all of which are 'hidden' in his room. She shook the thoughts from her head to focus on the task at hand; Scolding the ninja. Though.. it proved to be difficult. He had been through too much, and did not deserve to be barked at for not taking better caee of himself. "I understand." She answered lowly, not wanting to upset him. "Could I ask you make an attempt?- In a way of some type of self care. Meditation is a good start, and could be done in your own room." Yes, tips; a great way to curb the converastion.
  26. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: "Meditation?" Another word that fell from his mouth in disgust. "What is the purpose of meditation? For me to reflect on my past?" He scoffed, feeling his ever-present rage beginning to boil just under his skin. Another second or two passed before he breathed deeply and spoke again. "... But I suppose I can attempt. Perhaps not meditation. Do you have any /other/ suggestions?" 'Ones that do not involve me reliving my own murder,' he thought bitterly. Genji was aware she was only trying to help, and he wanted to make a genuine effort to become less sour around her especially, but it was difficult when every part of him wanted to lash out at all times.
  27. Combat Medic Ziegler: "Meditation is what you make it to be, but I can see its unattractiveness." Angela comfirmed, scrambling to find a nee suggestion. What helped her unwind? Well, talking it out. Mostly to herself, but still talking. "Certain tea offering a relaxing effect. Lavender especially." Or was Genji too manly for a floral tea? She hadn't the slightest. "I could- uh- also suggest therapy. I personally could lend a hand, though I am not a psychologist." Close enough, however. She'd try her best.
  28. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: Tea sounded incredible right about now. Before his incident, even when he was much younger, he would enjoy the occasional cup of tea in order to wind down after training-- or skipping training. "I could attempt tea. Though I am unsure if it would still," he gestured vaguely to his armor-plated midsection, "work properly? You would know that better than I do." His eyes met hers only to frown. "Therapy? I doubt that would work." That wasn't entirely true, but he /did/ doubt that anyone would enjoy hearing him recall what happened and attempt to work through it. It would likely be a very messy scene. "I also doubt that you would truly want to do that."
  29. Combat Medic Ziegler: That was a valid point, actually - and made Angela stop completely. Would it cause any issues? She hadn't the slightest. It was true, Genji didn't exactly need to eat food anymore, but hydration was important. "Well, I suppose we'll never learn until we try," A trusted doctor, and scientist, basically saying 'idk lol' in regards to Genji's well being. Perfect. That was where Genji was wrong, unfortunately. Angela wanted to help, and wouldn't mind at all listening. She saw the aftermath, and dare she say she was slightest curious. How much did he remember? Thoughts for another time. "As for therapy; I wouldn't mind. It could be biweekly, as well as your checkups. Two birds, you know?"
  30. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: Genji blinked owlishly at her, taken aback by the uncertain response. The tea could very well gunk up his insides, but she did not know. That was actually the first time Genji recalled asking a question the doctor did not know the answer to. "And I suppose if it damages anything, you will repair it hastily." The hint of humor shined in his eye, but the next topic quickly scared that away. Reminiscing about his own almost-death was bound to make him break down. It would be ugly and painful, and honestly Genji very much preferred keeping that all bottled up even if that was not the healthiest option. "I am unsure." He frowned. "I will consider it. Is that acceptable for now?"
  31. Combat Medic Ziegler: The tea, for the most part, would be sugary flower water- so Angela wasn't direly concerned over him exploding. Again. As long as Jesse stayed away from him with a spray bottle, Genji should be fine. Her own features still held hints of the same benevolence from before; her spft blue hues full of concern, and an odd adoration for the garden. It could be lost in translation for the man in front of her- well, it wasn't entirely wrong. "That is all I ask of you, is to /consider./" Consider himself, for the most part. "I do not need an answer right now, just think on it? The offer will not expire over night. I will care around the clock."
  32. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: That look in her eyes perplexed Genji. She always seemed so concerned around him, though it was not something he wished for. Concern and pity was the last thing he wanted from anyone, but he knew that mentioning it to her would not make her care any less. "I will consider," he agreed. "Although I will never be certain that you actually want to hear all of that. It is," he grit his teeth, tensing muscles he hadn't realized he'd relaxed, "painful. Uncomfortable." All of his relaxation progress was ruined at once as he considered what therapy might be like. "Sometimes I fear that you care too much, Dr. Ziegler." He squinted suspiciously over at her. "Do you care for yourself as much as you care for others?"
  33. Combat Medic Ziegler: Mentioning it would make her feel bad; she would think he was uncomfortable by her support. It was good he didn't mention it. But soon, to her dismay, the spotlight was turned to her. There were no perks to lying, especially over something like this. Her smile vanished, replaced with a flat line as her eyes found the ground. Shamed she was. "I care when none do, that is what makes my job so vital. Some things are, uh," She paused, thinking of the right words to use. "...trying. On everything. My career, well being. It is a risk I will take to save another." She was expendable in her eyes; she never feared death. Every other day did she step into the cold void to rip a soul fron its embrace.. some days she thought herself to be untouchable. "You have a greater purpose than I, Genji. I cannot afford to care so passionately about myself as I do you." Honesty tasted like vinegar. She didn't like it.
  34. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: As soon as her expression changed so suddenly, Genji feared that he'd asked the wrong thing. Perhaps he should have kept quiet. Her explanation made things no better, and he frowned deeply at her, unwilling to accept her words at face value. In fact, the first thing out of his mouth was a harsh, "Bullshit." For the most part, he attempted to refrain from cursing around her in respect and politeness, but this was an exception. "Your well-being is just as important as any of your patient's. If you allow yourself to deteriorate, then you will be unable to save as many lives as you could had you taken care of yourself." His fiery glare burned into her eyes. "Are you stupid?" It finally slipped out-- another insult towards her that he thought he was in control of. Once he realized his mistake, he paused, glare faltering, and muttered a quiet apology before he continued. "Without your intervention, I would not be here." Which, if he'd had more of a say in it and been in a better mindset at the time, he believed that he would choose death over being condemned to being... whatever the hell he was now. But that was not the point. "If you believe me to have a greater purpose, then you need to care for yourself just as much so that you can assist me in fulfilling this purpose."
  35. Combat Medic Ziegler: Angela had many flaws in her own eyes, which nearly out-weighed her victories. Nearly. Genji was a victory; her submissive nature was a flaw. She didn't dare look at him while he in turn scolded her. How could she have that mindset? Well, likely because it was pounded into her from a young age. A field medic is nevee expected to come home, and she was still living in the past. She though of many, many insults that would in fact cause him to explode. But she wouldn't say it. He did not deserve any unkindness. "I am no flower, Genji. I will not fall apart over night," She assured, seeming to ignore his harshness. It hurt, of course, but so did syphilis. Pick your battles, and which to cry over. Her word rung in her head, that Gabriel should take his own advice- perhaps she should listen to herself? "I.. you are right, however. Expendable I may be, but I have value while alive." She would thank him at some point, but not now.
  36. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: "You are not a flower, no," he agreed, "but you are also not--" He caught himself, scowling bitterly, though he still completed his thought. "You are not a robot, either." He averted his eyes and clenched his fists on top of his legs. Sometimes he wished that she would just snap at him. Just take anything terrible he's said to her and reflect it on him, putting him down as much as he had in the past. Maybe then he would feel better. Maybe he wouldn't feel so guilty about blowing up at her. As soon as she described herself as "expendable," however, his head snapped back around so he could meet her eyes, his own drowned in rage. "You consider yourself expendable, yet you accomplish marvelous and incredible feats day after day." Instead of yelling, his voice was deathly quiet, brimming with unused energy. "You save lives, care for others, keep this organization together-- and you think yourself expendable?" Right now, he wished he was in the training range rather than Angela's beautiful garden. He felt like something would be destroyed just by his presence at the moment. "You are one of the least expendable people in this entire building, Dr. Zi-- Angela. Without you, this entire place would burn itself to the ground."
  37. Combat Medic Ziegler: Angela would never snap at Genji. Unless he really, /really/ pushed her buttons. Which she thought to be kind of nonexistent. Nothing got under her skin, thankfully. She had conbinced herself that he never meant it, and that she was content with. His comment as to being a robot did however rub her the wrong way. She knew that wasn't exactly fond of it, but did he need to put it like that. "You are not a robot, Genji. You feature cybernetic attributes. You are human where it counts." His display of emotion proved that. But there he went again - only this time, prasing her? An odd change of events. "Why does my opinion of myself upset you?" Angela asled, looking the gift horse directly in the mouth.
  38. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: That gentle tone of hers, how she spoke to him like she was trying to calm him, like she was trying to softly chastise him never ceased to infuriate him even more. He wanted her to snap at him, to anger. He wanted to know what it would be like. "I am practically one," he spat. "I am fully aware that this organization never truly cared about my wellbeing, Angela. Perhaps you do, perhaps even Commander Reyes does, but Overwatch as a whole only sees me as a weapon. That is all I am." Her next question sent him into a sudden silence. Why /did/ it upset him so much? Part of it was that he wanted to make up for how badly he'd treated her, and another part was an attempt to return the compassion she'd shown him. It was obvious that she was much more delicate with this kind of thing, though. "I don't know," he finally admitted. It was only a half lie. "I do not believe you deserve the pressure you place upon your own shoulders."
  39. Combat Medic Ziegler: "You are not a weapon." Angela protested quickly, sitting up a little straighter. That struck a nerve. One she didn't even know she had. "You are a person, Genji. One who deserves to be treated with kindness." Her tone was frim, matching her glare. This wouldn't cause her to snap, no, just enforce her own opinions. Her sudden outbreak, however, was unprofessional, and left her in her own silence. Mentally scolding herself. She could remember the fights between Gabriel and Jack over what Genji would be, and not who he was. She remembered the first time he woke up, and accidentally pushed her in the face. Never did she ask what happened to him once he blacked out. He was clinically dead for a solid minute.. did she destory his happiness? "Pressure is nothing," Angela remarked, clearing her throat. "I do what must be done, it is not my fault if they are incompetent to show you the compassion you deserve."
  40. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: Her protest did nothing but egg him on. Genji pushed further, hoping to reach that outbreak that he craved. "A person?" He barked out a humorless laugh. "Have you ever seen another person like me? I doubt I can be classified as a person anymore." In addition to pushing her towards snapping at him, Genji was also using this time to vent frustrations about his identity. "Most /people/ have to eat and sleep. Most people are not constantly ordered to locate and kill a target. I really doubt I am a person at this point." His fingers clenched in the carbon fiber of his thighs. His words bit into the air harsher and harsher as he continued to speak. "'What must be done' does not include distancing yourself from your own health. I refuse to take medical advice from a doctor who cannot take care of herself."
  41. Combat Medic Ziegler: Genji had high hopes for the doctor to bark back, and made quite the effort.. but left the wrong impression. Was he upset with her? She felt attacked, in her own gardens. A displeased look crpssed her features, and she did in fact look like she was going to say something hurtful- but faltered completely when the tears began to well up in her eyes without consent. Did Genji hate her because she couldn't make him the man he once was? She sniffled, swallowing any pride she may have had. "I am sorry you feel this way," She answer through a broken tone. The doctor hastily stood up, composing herself and wiping her eyes. It was clear, what Genji felt. The influence of Blackwatch did that to people, and she didn't - or couldn't - blame him. "I urge you to-- well, I suppose it does not matter. Have a nice evening, Genji." Angela remarked once more as she turned away, with her last word sge was obviosuly upset, and likely crying by now. Was she the source of his bitterness? She felr like it by now.
  42. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: As soon as he saw the tears, he knew he'd made a mistake. All of his rage and excitement he'd built up vanished in an instant, and his expression fell. This was exactly the opposite of what he wanted. He'd expected her to reach a breaking point and turn to rage-- much like himself-- but instead she turned to sorrow. Her tone made his stomach drop to his toes, and he nearly choked on his heart. "Wait, Angela--" She rose, and he was quick to follow, already regretting everything. He'd done it again. He had hurt her for his own benefit. At that moment, he felt like less of a person than ever for the way he treated her rather than his dastardly purpose. One hand-- his organic hand-- reached out towards her in an attempt to stop her. "I... That was a mistake. This is..." He couldn't find the right words. Nothing seemed to be the thing that would make this anywhere near right. He resorted to the only thing that came to his mind, and mumbled a quiet, "I am sorry."
  43. Combat Medic Ziegler: She heard him scramble to his feet, and lnew he would make some attempt to stop her - so she gave him that much; now coming to a stop, but not yet looking back at him. Truthfully, she had already forgiven him. Angela, unlike Genji, had no time to be bitter in this life, or even the next. She wouldn't snap, or aim to bring him to a breaking point. She would settle for something more humane. The doctor stifled her cries, taking a deep breath before saying anything. "Reyes wanted you to be a weapon, as did Jack. I risked my life, and my career, going against their orders." She admit, looking towards the ground. "I didn't say no, I simply didn't program you to be a robot. They are under the impression that I messed up, but I wanted to preserve any kind of humanity you had. Do you know why I have done this, Sparrow?" Angela asked, choked on her own words. It was a brawl, really, when the two found out that Genji wasn't a senseless killing machine. They did the exact thing Genji had done, she was experienced to being insulted. "Because after this is over, you will have a chance at life. To be Genni Shimada once again. I did not do it for me, but for you."
  44. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: Genji stood stock still as she spoke, jaw slowly falling open. If he didn't feel heartless before, he certainly did now. What he attempted was barbaric and inhumane-- though he wanted to blame it on his new existence, he knew that he had nothing to blame but his own misjudgment and rage. He was blinded by his emotions and had attempted to drive Angela to the same point. It was wrong. He was wrong. Once she was done speaking, he stayed silent for several long, heavy moments. Eventually, his armor creaked as he sat down hard on the ground, slamming his palms against the front of his face plate. If still being human meant he had to feel like this when he made a terrible, terrible mistake, Genji thought he might prefer being a mindless killing machine. The despair and regret that pooled in his gut brought back distant memories of waking up with a stomachache and vomiting when he was younger. "I..." His voice was small, uncertain. "I'm sorry, Angela." All he could do was say it again. He had to reassure her. Genji may have been bitter and vengeful and full of rage, but he had no interest in really hurting Angela, despite what some of his actions said. "I have not been living up to your expectations, I am sure. You would probably prefer someone... less temperamental." He let out a bitter laugh. "Someone more grateful. That is certainly what you deserve."
  45. Combat Medic Ziegler: His rough treatment of his faceplate would spook the unsuspecting doctor. Angela, truthfully, expected more balme to be throw her way. His creeks and metalic noises caused her to look over her shoulder. A part of her - a very, very small part - screamed at her to leave him to his own destructive thoughts.. but her caring instincts took over far too quickly. The doctor took a step back, now kneeling down in front of Genji; "I fear you have not been livng until now," She spoke softly, now pressing a cold hand against the fleshing area of his chest. "How long has it been? Since you have regret your actions? Since you have wanted to do something differently?" She wasn't a therapist, no, but being a ball of bitter agony couldn't have been ideal. "You are the only person who believes you are a robot. You are a man, Genji. One capable of hurting someone, and feeling the same thing." Did she.. did she force herself to cry to prove a point? No, not exactly - but it worked out.
  46. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: Her hand against his chest was jarring. Sure, she had come into contact with him before during their checkups, but that was strictly medical, and while she may have always had such compassion in her touch, now felt different. Just that small touch had him craving more, craving real, gentle touch that made him feel wanted and loved. Her question echoed in his head. How long /has/ it been since he last regretted anything he did? He'd had small regrets in passing, of course, but... He could not remember the last time it had been as intense as this. "It... It has been quite long." He leaned closer to her without realizing it and let out a shaky breath. "I... suppose you are correct." Another quick pause, and he frowned, looking up at her again. "But you... You have similar problems. You are not expendable. Your sole purpose is not for others. You must also think of yourself."
  47. Combat Medic Ziegler: Angela strived to prove that peace could be accomplished with peace, and for now, in this moment - such a thing was possible. Angela was aware that he had only gotten closer, and took it as a sign that he was starved of physical contact. It made sense, really. He scowled during checkups, but now, it appeared to be a little different. She trusted her gut feeling, even if it could get herself killed. She shuffled closer, awkwardly pulling the ninja into a hug. At this angle, she was taller, so she pulled him into her chest, despite how suggestive it could have been seen as. "Mercy is what I became, Genji. The world is changing, and I believe we both need to acknowledge it."
  48. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: Genji turned his head to the side to avoid pressing his sharp-angled face plate into her chest, worried that it could hurt her. Of course he wasn't unaware of the position he was in, but he was far more caught up in how /lovely/ it felt to receive a hug. It was something so simple that could be taken for granted when provided often, but now he was ecstatic for just this simple touch. His arms hesitantly rose to return the hug, and he held her tightly. "You are correct," he mumbled. "I believe... We both have plenty of things to work on."
  49. Combat Medic Ziegler: Her warm, benevolent aura would always influence her hugs. They were made to comfort, to bring joy to who ever came into contact with her. It was different here; Angela's arms tightly curled around Genji, pulling him as close as she possibly could. Comfort, and support, is what he needed, and she would she as hell provide it. She had a slight feeling this would become a regular thing - which was completely fine. Although he was a little on the cold, metalic side, it still was rather enjoyable to be hugged back instead of pushed away. "I will be here for you, every step of the way. No matter how painful - I refuse to give up." It sounded a little obsessed, but she meant well.
  50. Blackwatch!Genji Shimada: Just the fact that she still wasn't letting go had his chest feeling warm. Genji never knew something as simple as a hug could be so addicting. After all this time with no real affectionate touch, this was absolute heaven. He wouldn't pull away of his own volition for a while. "Thank you, Angela."
