  3. Line 45 I’m not sure this is the right usage of “relinquish.” Relinquish means “to give up,” but usually in the context of giving up an item or a role or some other thing that is held. They could relinquish distrust of him. Relinquish apprehension, maybe. But to say they came around to him, I don’t think relinquishing to him makes sense. Surrendering, relenting, submitting, acquiescing, or adjusting, maybe.
