  1. To be more specific about my gender identity, it's actually quite complex. I consider myself to be technically cisgender because I was born female and identify as female, but I am also xenogender, which in my case means that the female gender I identify with is in a different context than what is associated with human females (the entire spectrum of man, woman, and everything in between is just...not for me at all, i don't like being a human woman but i would dislike being a human man or enby even more). It's like...you don't expect the same traits out of female spotted hyenas, or female angler fish, as you do out of female humans, yes? This is where my gender identity comes into play: I identify more with the gender standards of a female spotted hyena, or cassowary, etc., than those of a human, but since that's impossible to actually achieve given the rigid social constructs in place in human society, and xenogenders are hard for people to understand in general, just think of me as a gender nonconforming, ultra-masculine cis woman. I'd rather you perceive me as that if it's easier to understand, than misgender me as a demiboy/enby/etc. under the human gender spectrum that does not befit me.

  3. That said, as I am 100% female I ask that you please only use she/her pronouns, because my gender is hard enough to convey and understand without making it even harder to communicate by inappropriately referring to me with neutral they/them pronouns.

  5. Also bear in mind that this doesn't mean that I have anything against the spectrum of human genders. I just don't feel that any of them apply to me, but I'm not genderless either. I'm just simply not comfortable being a member of a species where females are typically smaller than males. That's it.
