35. == Introduction ==
36. === Background of the Problem ===
37.
38. Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and Expression or also known as SOGIE is a fresh concept, to most people, that is important for everyone to be aware of. It is an orientation that shapes and identifies one’s self. In simpler terms, everyone has their own SOGIE.
39. This year marks the 19th year of the SOGIE Equality bill’s (or also known as the Anti-Discrimination Bill) process of implementation. According to an article on ABS-CBN News is written by Delizo (2019), ever since the bill reached the Senate plenary in 2016, it languishes in the period of interpellation making it the longest-running bill under interpellation in the Senate and it is now in the verge of going back to square one and undergo the same procedures.
40. Some people still deny those who are sexually different from what they perceive which leads to the point where the other people’s rights get trampled on and ridiculed publicly. The SOGIE Equality bill or ADB is a bill that intends to protect all Filipinos from discrimination. As stated by Cupin (2017), anyone who is convicted and proven guilty of discriminating people shall be fined not less than P100,000 but not more than P500,000 or may lead to imprisonment for less than a year but not more than six (6) years or both.
41. The researchers have proposed a campaign to spread the information about SOGIE and to educate everyone that no one is entitled to judge or discriminate against our fellow citizens, may it be based on their SOGIE, ethnicity, religion or beliefs, race, culture, and the likes.
42.
43. === Statement of the Problem ===
44. Most people are not aware of the concept and terms of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and Expression or simply known as SOGIE. Without proper apprehension of its concept, it will be abstruse to understand people who are of different SOGIE. This problem branches out to the problems as to why people do not know what their SOGIE is and why discrimination among gender exist in society.
45.
46. ===Objectives of the Study===
47. The statements below narrate the general and specific objectives of the researchers in implementing the Talk and Mobile Application about SOGIE:
48. General Objectives
49.
• To help students understand the concept of SOGIE and its life application;

50.
• To encourage people to be proud of no matter what gender identity they have and to freely express themselves without the fear of judgments; and

51.
• To avoid discrimination among different gender identities in society

52.
53. ===Specific Objectives===
54.
• To develop a mobile application that will help people identify their SOGIE.

55.
• To let the students know their SOGIE with the help of a talk.

56.
• To strengthen the relationship of the students towards each other.

57.
58. ===Scope and Limitation===
59. The Talk will involve students in Asia Pacific College. It will only cover the topic of SOGIE to be discussed by the chosen speaker.
60. The mobile application will be covering all terms of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and Expression (SOGIE) and will be limited only on informing the concepts of SOGIE and identifying the SOGIE of a person.
