First things first: get good. start off with a max BPM of 300 or 350 as you see fit. Slowly try to get to 500 or 550 which is what most players use.

UNLOCKS:

1. These songs will unlock as you level up, clear arcade mode, get fevers, get full combos, do normal mode, unlock songs which normally require missions, get A ranks and S ranks, and max combos. You don't need to worry about hunting for these - just play 4B Normal charts and try to combo stuff and you'll get 'em all in time.

2. Once you can play Level 6 and get an A rank, go to 6B. Then do 5B or 8B mode next, whichever you're more comfortable with. Just try to get to Level 6 on both of those. In the process of doing this you should be able to do Level 10 or so on 4B mode. HD and MX charts won't be so intimidating anymore. For songs with a low BPM use FADER gear and play at 60% max BPM. 8B mode is pretty self explanatory, grind songs that use the shoulder buttons a lot. 5B mode is a bit tricker than 8B mode even in my opinion, grind songs that require you to alternate between the two middle buttons.

3. Getting a max combo in a song? And getting 200000 in freestyle? Update the game and play "ALWAYS". 4B HD is 6000+ combo, 6B HD is 10000+ combo.
