Refugees are welcome at the inns or can volunteer for the soldier caste and stay in the barracks during training. If you have a fair amount of money, you can find a house for 100-500 midas. Please enjoy your stay traveler, but be weary of the Moenians that stalk our borders for fresh kills.

Apocalypse - Hold out in a collapsed tunnel with almost no light against waves of mobs! The longer you live, the more $$$ you earn! Earns experience in the soldier caste!
PVP Arenas - Test your fists, footwork, swordsmanship, archery, and cunning in the arena! Or just take bets on the fighters. Earn experience in the soldier caste.
Auctions - Are you a gambler? Try your luck in the pit! You could win a pile of dirt, or diamonds!

Entertainment: Mazes - Try the Great Aeria Maze (WIP) or the twin tower maze in Old Mist Heights. There are diamonds at the end! Construct your own maze and you could be recognized among the architect caste.
Mining Expeditions - Pool your resources and go caving with friends. Be sure to get enough diamonds or else you'll not be invited back, jk! If you sell to the Aerian bank, you'll earn fame in the merchant caste.
Assassin Runs - Join the soldier caste in a mission to kill careless travelers in the wilderness. Lure them to a trap or just jump them, loot them, and run! You will be awarded experience and rank up in the soldier caste.

Back Story - Weathering The Snow Storm: A great plague spread across the land infecting many. This airborne disease was prevalent in warm and moist climates with 1x1 towers floaty trees. The victims were horrendous, turning against their neighbors and destroying everything. Within weeks, the great cities of New Vicus, Moria, Castalian, and Fallside were decimated. Out of the ashes crawled many colonists that came to found the towns of Aeria, Moenia, Keyoton, and Magnum. As the disease ran rampant not even some of these cities were allowed spared. Magnum, a city among the islands was cut short even as the first houses were erected. Keyoton looked promising until the infection reached that faraway land as well.
Out a small town now known as Old Mist Heights (downtown Vertigon), a young architect watched as the plague spread even to that faraway place. When the town mayor, LambaMist64, became hospitalized, Multitallented fled along with his close companions, ROLLA, the master architect, and RockyRoark, the master merchant. They crossed the ocean, desert and snow-covered plains until taking refuge in the shadow of a mountain upon which Multi and ROLLA built. Multi vowed then that there would forever be a safe haven that would shelter all from the disease, and he named it Aeria. Rocky was extremely opposed to the idea saying that no place was safe as the large numbers would only spread the disease. He left, and to this day Rocky lives through rumors of a vast underground network, and ROLLA is forever torn between the two ideologies.
Aeria grew bright through the clouds of snow faster than anyone could have predicted. It took allies with the dying city Castalian and sheltered many who lived there. The hidden city of Vertigon also became allies after much negotiation and diplomacy. A canal was constructed in order to forge peace between the two cities. Yet, not all cities were so agreeable. With their dying breath, Fallside, the biggest city in the land, waged war on the newborn city. At first all hope was lost, but while their leader, Wallaganoosh, stood atop his castle even before the first battle, his town crumbled beneath him. Multi and his guard decimated them, overcoming lava traps, arrow traps, and ambushes before slaying Walla in on the ramparts of his own castle. It was shortly thereafter that ghost appeared before Blacklife33, one of his assistants, and gave her Skyside, a secret haven in the clouds over Fallside.
Aeria ruled triumphantly as the largest city on the server, and all seemed well. Lamba recovered and went on to rebuild mist heights in a distant land at the edge of the world. Vertigon cleansed Old Mist Heights and claimed it for their own. Aeria was prosperous and good... until that fateful day.
Moenia (Moan-knee-uh), the great palace city, a twin city of Aeria, declared war. Skilletfk spat up the Aeria, declaring it diseased and weak predicting it's downfall. Multi was enraged and issued a great draft, pooling his endless resources to hire mercenaries from across the land. In his arrogance he charged the Moenian stronghold. Yet, his arrogance was his demise. The Moenians possessed a strange magic that enabled them to stand upon the clouds as they rained arrows down upon the charge. Multi's druid magic conjured trees out of thin air to shelter against the onslaught. Under fire, he found himself alone at the front of the battle staring into the blood thirst eyes of not 2 or 3, but 4 elite Moenians. Casting a lava spell and retreating into the trees, Multi was shot in the back. Using the last of his strength he cast aside all his belongings and fled to the sky, where he watched helplessly as the Moenians trampled his disorganized forces.
His spirit broken, Multi came to the difficult realization that he had been blind. The plague ravaged through his once great city claiming the lives of some of his greatest assistants, oktogotoo and tubiethetubiest. With renewed strength Multi drew close his assistants Noah35757, DerfMan, and Halofreak196 and established what are now the 3 castes of Aeria. First were the architects, headed by DerfMan, who swept throught he diseased homes and cleansed them. Then came the Merchants from far and wide, led by Noah, bringing endless supplies into the coffers of the city. Lastly, the soldiers, led by Halo, made dozens of traps, defenses, and raids in order to weaken the Moenians.
Once again, the shadow of Moenia looms over the city. The drew close to our last defenses at Ring Lake and another battle erupted. The powerful, united 4: Multi, Halo, DerfMan, and Noah led the armies in defense of the fort there. Outnumbered 8 to 6, they fought against the seemingly endless rain of arrows. They littered the ground along with cooling obsidian and cakes that now looked like pork-u-pines. The Moenians were devious, employing spys and mercenaries in their ranks. The battle was long and hard and lasted through the night and into the evening of the next day. One cunning and treasonous spy, mappleweirdo, almost completed a spell to destroy the Aerian fort, but was killed just in time by the vigilant general, Halo. As the sun was setting, Moenian magicians cast lava spells over the 2 entrances to the fort, sealing them in. As the army of Aeria filed out of the barracks they were being ambushed by Moenians. In the face of defeat, Multi saw his chance and escaped the fort, slipping past 2 Moenians as he did. He ran as fast as he could, straight to the enemy base and encountered almost no opposition. He went to work immediately upon killing the 1 ill-equiped guard. Unchecked, Multi was just barely able to cast the spell to destroy the Moenian fort within, winning the battle and saving the day!
Against the odds Aeria pushed the Moenians back, but now the danger is greater then ever. Both sides suffered great casualties. Seeing an opportunity (perhaps where none exists), Multi ordered his men to march on the enemy city. A cold chill lingers in Moenia.... To be Continued!
