I was wrong about jpg's
They are amazing at compressing photos for sites like 4Chan where the file size is 4mb.
I was able to compress a .png photo which was over 200mb into less than 4mb without losing much quality. This is the way I can share my enormous resolution ESRGAN photos on 4Chan.
