  1. [2:20 PM] Sudo: Hey, DPS was telling me you wanted to have a chat?
  2. [2:23 PM] Brodo Swaggins: just wanted to see what you guys saw to see if we missed anything. Main thing we saw was too much gear disparity which made it easy to focus certain people, squishy healers getting 1 shot, and some low dps from one of our mages cause his build was bad
  3. [2:23 PM] Brodo Swaggins: seemed like our good fights were when i was nightcloak peeling for healers/backline and our melee dps were able to burst your backline
  4. [2:24 PM] Sudo: Yeah, I feel like you're at a bit of a disadvantage before you even start choosing classes and etc just because all your healers are in cloth, so even the ones who have gear are just going to get run through by most melees
  5. [2:25 PM] Sudo: And you definitely did better when you were a nightcloak vs when you were running abolisher
  6. [2:25 PM] Brodo Swaggins: yeah just kind of unfortunate to be losing the damage from my legendary shield. Our nightcloak main is in australia with no internet cause of fires
  7. [2:25 PM] Brodo Swaggins: legendary sword*
  8. [2:26 PM] Sudo: I'd say the biggest thing though is just that you were lacking damage a bit. Even when you'd get these good mageballs going from a clump there just wasn't any follow up to it. I don't think I had to defiance to get out of a mageball a single time
  9. [2:26 PM] Sudo: But then at the same time your melee dive wasn't really able to consistently kill our back line either
  10. [2:27 PM] Sudo: So I'd say you should try to focus more on one of those things. Either take fights in a more "Front to back" style where you're sitting back, covering your healers, and your melee is killing our dives instead of doing the diving
  11. [2:27 PM] Sudo: Or you just have to go all in with your engage, get to our back line with your nightcloaks, executioners, and blood reavers and kill them in a CC stack
  12. [2:28 PM] Sudo: Because more often than not we were able to keep our back line spread out enough that they'd be able to kite your melee to death
  13. [2:28 PM] Sudo: and meanwhile we were still able to get onto your healers in the back, who are relatively easy kills because of being in cloth
  14. [2:28 PM] Brodo Swaggins: yeah Noone would get 1 shot and then they'd switch to focusing the 10k healer and your archers but it wasn't fast enought o make a difference
  15. [2:29 PM] Sudo: Yeah, and he wasn't really a high priority for us either
  16. [2:29 PM] Sudo: think he was our lowest gs by about 1k actually
  17. [2:29 PM] Sudo: He's new though, and he did well enough despite that
  18. [2:30 PM] Brodo Swaggins: yeah i think if we had more people sit out we'd have done alot better. we have a super strong core between me, umbrare, tsundere, bluebonix, kelv, and yet but our other members weren't as experienced
  19. [2:31 PM] Brodo Swaggins: our inexperienced members that weren't those 6 were the ones dying early, using wrong builds, or mis-positioning
  20. [2:32 PM] Sudo: Yeah, I'd also say that you seemed to be missing a bit of coordination from your melees as well. Like whenever I'd turn back to peel for our backline you'd have 2-3 melees there, and they're all hitting different targets
  21. [2:33 PM] Sudo: Makes it much easier for us to peel and for our back liners to kite
  22. [2:34 PM] Sudo: Part of that is a numbers game, though. We had 4 back liners + occasional melees going back to peel, and I think you only had 1 blood reaver and 1 executioner, right?
  23. [2:34 PM] Brodo Swaggins: yeah our initial plans were to have melees focus different people to cc/distract them but they weren't able to kill them fast enough so i should've had them switch to running a goon squad to focus 1 at a time
  24. [2:34 PM] Brodo Swaggins: 3 melees + 2 abolishers
  25. [2:34 PM] Brodo Swaggins: abolishers were more peel though
  26. [2:34 PM] Brodo Swaggins: and me as main cc in middle of your team
  27. [2:34 PM] Sudo: Yeah, abolishers can't really kill back line as long as we have a healer around them because they don't have that same kind of burst
  28. [2:35 PM] Sudo: can obviously win the long fight, but add a healer's help and then unless the abolisher is crazy geared they're just more of a distraction than a kill threat
  29. [2:35 PM] Brodo Swaggins: yeah our 2 abolishers went abolisher cause they saw how strong i was in pvp xD
  30. [2:36 PM] Brodo Swaggins: but i kept telling them go Nightcloak or darkrunner
  31. [2:36 PM] Sudo: Yeah, that's a dangerous thing cus the class doesn't have the same value without the gearscore to back it up
  32. [2:36 PM] Sudo: Honestly, tell them to go blood reaver
  33. [2:36 PM] Brodo Swaggins: what specs are that again?
  34. [2:36 PM] Sudo: Nightcloak only works if they went full stamina already, or else they're going to lack a lot of surivvability
  35. [2:37 PM] Sudo: and darkrunner really should be leather dual wields with 100% strength, if they have a shield or stamina or plate they lose a lot of damage
  36. [2:37 PM] Sudo: and whole thing about DR is to just jump in, pop someone quick, then skirt the edges while you wait cooldowns
  37. [2:37 PM] Sudo: Blood Reaver is Battlerage, Occultism, and Auramancy
  38. [2:37 PM] Brodo Swaggins: oh yeah that shit's super strong
  39. [2:37 PM] Sudo: It's one of the main large raid melee classes because you can implode, hell spear, and tiger strike for a first trip then follow it up immediately with a thwart and whirlwind for a second trip
  40. [2:38 PM] Sudo: the damage is still present as well
  41. [2:38 PM] Sudo: obviously not as good as dark runner, but it's probably the main raid v raid class for melees imo
  42. [2:38 PM] Sudo: Also not as great in small numbers tho
