I have been a customer with hostwinds like 2 years + and now when suddenly i did not have not have money what they did is they Suspended my VPS we are website designing company and we do have other Servers as well and we are customer of another company dont want to take name here but they do understand my situation everytime ...

 but what Hostwinds does it they suspended my VPS i was in a process of migration to lower end server but becasue few things are not working in currenct VPS and the tech support was not able to fix that thing.... it took time for me to take backups befor migrating to a lower end server as i had 150 GB of VPS and after cleaning i made it to 30 GB and only 900,000 approx Inodes so a lower end VPS was a good option for me and festivals the market was closed and was short on funds.. this was also a reason to migrate...

so the rel story starts here ... when i asked them after suspnsion that please migrate or give me the backup so that i can manually migarte as i do not have a good experice of migation with them... they always take more than a week of downtime on server.. so i wanted to do it myself ... and what they did is they said that i have to pay for one more month it means i have to pay 135$ to get my data ... otherwise they cannot do anything.. i requested everyone ... on the chat no one suggested me ... each person just kept saying okay let me put your ticket on high alert.. then again sencond person said the same thing.. i asked them was my ticket on high priority before so every body used to say no i just did it... tech team said they cannot do anthing.. so technically no one was able to help me as they said billing has to do something in this.. guess what i havent slept for whole night and then another day and another night... and no response from billing... i was constantly in chat with every agent passing me from one agent to another... the billing manager came to office then again i waited whole day and people on chat said me that they wont unsuspend it u have to pay... or wait.. another one said he is very buys.. he will reply you in next 2-3 days... i said what my business completelty gone and just for migration he will reply me in more 2-3 days.. so technically they want me to pay that 135$ ... i requested everywhere handfolded request but no one helped me till now... while i am writing this... they littererly made my cry.... I mean my whole business is just vanished within night my clients are keep calling me again and again... and what happening is this.... they want me to pay one more month just for my own data.. and for migration...

i asked in that chat perviously that what if my server is suspended they said that dont worry we dont keep data hostage ... we will give you your data or when the migration is complete your sites will be live again as we keep your data 21 days after grace..


in short I am suffering alot and they are not helping me guyz... i will update you about the situation more soon. I just want to get is resolved if they resolve it asap i will post that review as well...

There's no such thing as an unmanaged server - It's actually self-managed. Worth remembering next time you're looking for someone to complain to.
DATA VALUATION SERVICE: Your data's value is linked directly to your backup strategy. If YOU don't have your own backups then YOU value your data at ZERO. So why should anyone else care when you lose it?

I was on a Managed server and also The backup feature was not working on the server you can see my tickets for that... I was about to migrate it .. and being a hosting company do you think that saying WHY ANYONE ELSE CARE ABOUT YOUR DATA is good practice...... then WHY PEOPLE PAY YOU FOR you are directly saying that they should not RELY on you.

See I have no problem with anything I was promised before and i was promised today as well that I will get my data they assured me and i Believe that you will get me my Data backup so That I can delete this post and Put A good Review... I thought I will tell you this and you will look into the matter... but you are also being rude ... every one in the company is behaving so rude...

Hope I will get my Data My Clients are calling me again and again ...
